It Wasn't All Over

The movie didn't help as much as Vera had hoped it would. There was too much on her mind so she could hardly focus. She didn't sleep very well either despite knowing that Casey was safe.

It wasn't all over. At this rate, she didn't know if it ever would be. 

Was Kane right and Casey was gone? What was she supposed to do if she had to see him but not him every day from here on out? 

Vera's heart was already broken and every time she thought it wasn't possible for it to break more she was proved wrong not long after. This whole experience had been soul-crushing. 

She wanted Casey. Her Casey. The one who smiled so lovingly at her and held her in his arms and made her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. Was she ever going to see him again when he was in his right mind?
