I Love You

Vera knew Casey got stressed easily. She didn't think there was anything wrong with that though, especially after whatever happened to him as a kid. She had known him for six years but he had this whole other life she didn't know about before that. 

She just wished she could do more to help him. She loved him so much and he deserved the world.

He always said that she was doing enough just by being herself when she said something about it but how was that doing anything? She really didn't get it. 

Vera knew she meant a lot to Casey. He wouldn't consider her family or have planned his future around supporting her if she didn't. But as time went on, she couldn't help but wonder if there might be more to it. 

Casey had never shown interest in another girl or even another person. She hadn't thought he was into that sort of thing at all until she ended up going to prom with him.
