Chapter 17

Karthik was kicking that guy so badly. I quickly ran towards them to stop him. I tried to stop him but I have failed him as he was very furious. My strength is nothing compared to him.

I don't know how to stop him.

" Karthik, are you crazy? Do you want to kill that person" I  yelled at him and pushed him away from that man.

That person immediately tried to run from that place but again Karthik chased that man and twisted his hand roughly.

He looked at me seriously.

" Am I looking crazy to you? See that girl what he did with her. Because of you, he escaped from this place. You idiot...." Karthik yelled showing the girl whose hand was bleeding.

I quickly ran towards her and covered her wrist with my handkerchief.

Meanwhile, both Shreya and Arvind Anna came to that place.

"What happened?" I asked that girl curiously.

"As I was not accepting his love, he tried to attack me with a knife. Luckily this man stopped him to attack me" that girl replied.

I got angry and slapped that guy very hard on his cheeks.

" I did a great mistake to stop Karthik. You are not supposed to live on the earth" I shouted on him.

Meanwhile, a security officer of that place came and took him away.

" I am very sorry" I apologized Karthik.

He moved further as if I was talking with someone but not with him. I felt very bad with his ignorance. I did a mistake without knowing the truth, I yelled at him but I apologize to him.

Still …..

He talked with that girl and her friends for a few minutes. Really I was impressed with his character how he respects women and their feelings. I was observing him from far as he was angry at me.

As it was my mistake, again I went near to him and apologize holding my ears.

" I don't like people who judge the other person without knowing the truth. You are also just like my mom." he roared.

" I am really sorry." I apologized.

"  I don't like to talk with the person who judges others without knowing the truth. Better stay away from me and leave from this place or else I dont know what I will do" Karthik shouted.

" Leave him for some time. Don't talk with him especially when he is angry"  Arvind anna advised me.

My eyes shredded with tears with his harsh behavior. I ran far away from that place and sat alone.

" Shall we start? Vamshi is leaving today" Shreya called me after few minutes.

I nodded my head and followed her silently.  While returning I closed my eyes pretending as if I was sleeping because Karthik is sitting beside me. I don't want to face him or talk with him.

By the time we reached home, vamshi was busy packing his luggage. We had our dinner in silence due to tiresomeness.

Finally, I, Shreya, and Arvind anna dropped vamshi at the airport. I don't want to cry when he was going to achieve his dreams.

But when vamshi going into check-in. I cried hugging him and Shreya also started crying. He is not only our friend but a protector like a sibling.

" Take care of Shreya and Priya," he said vamshi.

" Sure ...don't worry. Happy journey" vamshi assured him.

Really, I was going to miss him. We returned home after one hour. I quickly got down from the car as I was feeling sleepy.

"Okay, we will meet you both tomorrow. Good night" Arvind Anna said to us.

When I stepped out of the car,  Arvind Anna asked Shreya to wait. I wanted to give them privacy so I waved my hand and walked towards the elevator.

I was waiting at the elevator for Shreya as I was scared to step inside alone. Suddenly I saw Karthik coming out from the elevator.

" What he is doing at this time?" I was thinking in my mind.

He gave me a closed envelope.

" What is this?" I asked him seriously.

" You can open and check by yourself," he said seriously.

I opened it and checked the paper. It was my appointment letter and the post is an office administrator in the HR department. I was shocked to see the salary package as I don't have any experience in that work.

I turned my head and checked whether Shreya is coming or not. She was busy talking with Arvind Anna.

" I don't have experience in it and I also changed my mind to join in your office. I don't want to work with you." I said seriously.

" Why? Do you think I am a fool?" he dragged me into the elevator and closed the door.

He pressed me to one side of the elevator and lean close to me by keeping his hand on both sides with a decent gap between us. He adjusted his height to reach my face as I am shorter to him. He looked with an angry face.

" You agreed to join in my office last night then what happened now?" he asked commandingly.

" I don't want to work with a bipolar person like you. " I yelled at him.

" You have no option, you have to join in my office tomorrow,"  he said as order.

" You can't order me. Saving me is doesn't mean that you owe me. Do you understand?" I replied to him with the same temper.

" I like this side of you very much" he chuckled.

"You are really a bipolar person. Aren't you?" I said loudly.

"Really, you look more beautiful when you are angry" he smiled.

I pushed him and tried to come out. But he was quicker than me and pressed the button in the elevator to the terrace.

" What if I allow getting a job in any other company?" He smirked.

"Forget what happened in the morning and accept this job or else your brother, Arvind will kill me..." He added.

I looked at him with disbelief.

He holds my wrist tightly and dragged me outside the elevator. I followed him wriggling my hand.

I was astonished to see another side of Karthik.
