Dark curse

I stood up pacing the room. It was all so infuriating. He wasn't giving me any useful information. It was all churning my head like crazy .
Me : listen Lucas .. all I need is to understand..each and every day you are being haunted it's like you are being preyed on by some unknown creatures, I understand I'm so unlucky and sort of cursed but this !!! ( she said taking a deep breath ) it's getting way out of control
She finished the last sentence with a deep sigh.
Lucas : is it me that is worrying you ?( he asked with an intent tone )
Me : it's me ....I don't get what you want from someone whose life is full of darkness?
Lucas : well I think I'm drawn to your darkness .
Me : and why ( she asked surprised by his response)
Lucas : the darkness of night holds a variety of beauties that are impossible during the day. The moon and the stars are only visible when it's get dark
I found myself smiling to his response. I bit my lower lip wondering what he meant
Me : nice but I'm a dark curse
Lucas : a curse can also became a gift , until we have successfully worked ourselves through the pandora box of crisis that it has opened and the subsequent challenges we have surmounted and overcome and more importantly the transformed person that we have become as a result focused and persistent struggle and perseverance
( he said with a calm tone looking deeply into her huge eyes that were reflecting amazement to what she was listening to )
I didn't get what he meant but one thing I was clear about he didn't mind about who I was and what was happening with my life. Of course he is the darkness himself!!
I shrugged it off as I sat back on my couch my eyes tightly shut .
Lucas : I need to take you out
Me : are you asking me for a date ( she said quickly her eyes sparkling in the room)
Lucas : you didn't give it a second thought
Me : I also think I need a break ( she said with a smile looking at his indescribable godly face )
He was quite a temptation which was so captivating. I flushed looking as our eyes met .
Lucas : did anyone tell you how gorgeous you look especially when your face flushes ( she dropped her gaze down her porcelain skin turning reddish)
I suddenly received a phone call from an unknown number .
Me : yes , who am I speaking too ( she asked calmly)
Voice : I'm outside wearing a black coat, I need to take you out
For a moment I froze as I recognized the owner of the voice. How infectious it was . Goosebumps rooted all over and my nipples hardened.
Voice: hey ..are you there
Me : I _I can't though I wanted to
He hung up ! I remained still in shock he didn't even try to persuade me to go out with him . Just like that he is gone . I had this strange yearning to just see him . Oh God what on earth is happening to me .
Lucas : is it him again ??
I turned to him with a start . His face had already turned pale with anger . I don't know where their enmity is. I remained quite already feeling sad that I wasn't able to meet with Jung . I turned him down thinking he was going tp beg . How foolish of me to think like that .
There was a knock on the door . I went to attend the knock my soul nearly flashed out of me when I saw Jung standing at the doorstep.
My eyes widened opened with shock as they met with two decoying unfathomable eyes . Then the shock was replaced with excitement. I bet I couldn't even hide it neither did I try to . My heart was beating frantically.
Me : Sir ...you can get in
She said paving way for him to pass. As he passed by me hid scent stung to my skin. Woow it was so heavenly.
I closed the door behind with a soft smile . I followed behind I gazed at Lucas whose dead eyes reflected danger.
Oh God I hope both of them will behave like adults. Jung sat opposite to Lucas facing each other like two ferocious cats which were ready to take charges at each other .
Me : um let me prepare something,( she said hurriedly trying to escape the inflammable moment)
Jung : sit down ( he said with a commanding tone )
I sat besides Lucas nervously rubbing both my hands together.
Lucas : what are you doing here ??
Jung : the same reason you are here for
Lucas : interesting ( smirking
Jung: even I feel the same way...actually I'm here to take Ruyi out
I looked up at him with a smile suddenly Lucas get hold of my hand . The excitement was washed away right at the moment. I promised to stick by his side.
Lucas : actually you came late she is already booked
He said his gaze falling on me . I bit down my lower lip in lose of words .
Me : L_Lucas can we talk in the kitchen...( she asked with begging eyes )
We both stood up heading into the kitchen. He closed the door behind folding his hands on his chest ready for my explanation.
Me : can you let me go out with him , he is the CEO of the Company I'm registered under so I don't really want to be in bad books with him . Already you know my status ain't really good out there so please
He raised an eyebrow
Lucas : is it really about that or it's something personal Ruyi
He said with fury in his eyes .
Lucas: anyways fine you can go don't say I didn't warn you to stay away from that damned guy
He said with a shrug. He stormed out leaving me pacing in the room . What is Lucas trying to imply here ??
I decided to shrug all this away.
I took a deep breath before taking a step out of the kitchen. I found Lucas and Jung sitting together but the silence seemed so deadly. It was a calm before a storm .
I rushed to my room took a quick shower everything i did it hastily . I wore a black cargo trouser and a plain shirt . I didn't even try to make myself look any better I didn't to raise voices.
Inside I felt really nervous about it . It all happened so fast .
I walked to where Jung and Lucas was . He just stood up leading the way. I turned to Lucas who quickly looked away . I'm sorry Lucas. I said with one last glance .
We walked out to his car in silence
Jung : I'm taking you for a long drive faraway from the city
Me : w_what I wasn't really prepared though ( she said with an anxious tone)
Jung : don't worry I've prepared everything for you ..
Oh , I just nod nervously rushing my hands in my hair
