I gave the stranger one last sorry glare before turning away . When I wanted to move was surprised to see I couldn't move my legs it was like they were stuck on something and I couldn't pull it off . I looked down with dead shock what was that?? I tried to move again but all efforts were futile .

" if you running away you have to take me along otherwise you will remain at the same place ....I'm now your responsibility"

A sharp voice said in my head , I froze as beads of sweat glistened my forehead . I swear I wanted to swoop to run away from the darkness which just nocked my life to the ground . I looked back at the stranger he just talked in my head but he is unconscious. He was profusely bleeding . Ain't he dead she said thoughtfully

" I'm not dead yet but if I die just know I will be paving way for your death as well ,,,, technically I will be cleaning your way to hell"

I freaked out hearing this . I widened my eyes looking side ways

" stop gawking around fool I'm talking to you ,, get me out of here in thirty minutes your friend will be here if you don't want to put her life at stake like how yours is now better take me to your place "

I shuddered hearing his malicious tone ,

Me: I did no wrong to you why did you choose me ???? Why did you have to pop out today ....( she said tears stung in her eyes)

" asking the obvious question you unlucky ...even darkness follows you around " (he said in her head again)

He can telepathically communicate with me ... What an arshole ,

Me: you not my responsibility and I won't take such a creature with me anyway ( she replied with shaky breaths)

I fell quite lost in thought looking at the demon in front of me looking half dead . I tried to jump away instead I hurt my legs they started paining as if shard shards of ice were piercing the skin of my legs I let out a blood curdling scream . I gave up when I tried to move towards his body I was surprised I could move my leg , it took me lot's of efforts to carry him on my back . I was silently crying heading to the front door because of fear and pain. I walked out on the dark there was no single star on the sky to light my way . Just like the path of my life ..I said with a sorrowful look . Now it's getting worst even demons are following me around . There was no taxi around maybe because it was too late . It was like I was carrying thousands of sand sacks on my back because I could hardly walk but I had to push myself

Me: only one hour I will be home ( she said her chest heaving from fatigue)

I inhaled and exhaled to get the energy to keep on going . I misstepped and lost my balance I was about to fall on the ground with my stomach when two strong arms get hold of my hand. I was twirled around.. I widened my eyes to see myself looking into two brown hostile pearls of eyes . He is awake. We both fall down I landed on his body and being in a situation where I was on top of a guy and our lips only a distance from each other made me blush profusely making me throw all the so called rules out of the window . He had sharp asymmetric looks. I COULD feel the erratic beating from my chest looking at the stranger he suddenly shut his eyes that's when I came back to my senses . I quickly stood up

Me: I'_I'm sorry ....( she said trying to help Lucas up but with her weak power she couldn't make it ) what should I do ...phone ...I should call for help yes help??( she said fishing out her phone from the pocket of her coat )

Fuck the battery was flat !! Suddenly I saw car lights from a distant I closed my eyes as the car lights brightened . I could hear the car engine more clearer . I opened my eyes that's when I saw a tall frame approaching coming from the car . He had a black hood and I couldn't see his face ... He stood in front of me for a moment as if he was searching for something . I took a step backwards looking down I still had the terror of what transpired .

Him: miss do you need any help ,

When he spoke I felt all the fear disappearing . I sighed with happiness as tension abated replaced with hopes . I just felt that I should trust this man . He had that soft breeze when he gets nearer .

Me: I need help my friend was attacked by some robbers and they beat him badly ...( she lied smoothly with a begging tone)

The man looked at that stranger.

Him: y_your friend?? ( he questioned) I thought it was someone closer

He wanted to turn away when I knelt down touching his feet

Me: he is my husband we were just coming from a picnic when this happened please save him ...( she begged)

Him: as I can see you are an actress and I heard you are single ...so you actresses lies a lot

My heart started racing damnit I got recognized . Oh God I hope this won't put my job at stake . I stood up the man just went to carry that stranger in his car and asked me to follow . At least he has a gentle heart. When I was about to get in the car that's when he stopped me.

Him: I said follow the car by foot ,,,( he said with a calm tone)

Me: w_what but do you know were you going?? ( she asked clearly confused)

Him: of course ....be sage Ruyi ( the man drove away splashing dirty water from the road on her face )

I stood there ashen with shock . What just happened here? As a person who is used to mean people I brushed off all the thoughts and found my way back home . so stupid I said that evil dog ass had a gentle heart . He is callous like any other demons leaving a girl alone in the middle of the road . He will regret it once he finds out "Angel of death is in his car" . I said smirking to myself.

When I got home I turned on the lights I collapsed on the couch because of fatigue I drifted in my sleep . I had nightmares of all the events that took place at FeiFei house . I was woken up early in the morning when I felt a heavy weight on top of me. I screamed pushing the weight away from I was still half asleep . I got back to my senses when a sharp voice shouted .

Mom: Ruyi have you lost it !!! He is the landlord ( she said helping the half drunk man up)

I just stood still feeling guilty. What have I done!! The man was short and stout with a moustache . He had a bald . He turned around and started smiling . mom was just standing behind holding the man's hand she looked nervous even her smile she was just giving me a look to do as the man says ..

Him: is that your daughter Huli ....she is so pretty( he said trying to reach out to cup Ruyi cheeks when she stopped his hand midway as fear creeps her)

Mom: well she took after her mother ( she replied with a soft smile)

The man started getting closer to me I stepped backwards .

Him: I remember your mother hasn't paid rent for the past two years and for that I have to have you,, ( he said licking his plump lips)

I was rooted to the ground hearing this mom just looked down as I gave her a look with confusion.

Me: what is this man talking about ...didn't I give you the money to pay the rent for three years ( she asked dumbfounded)

Mom: I'm sorry I used the money for cosmetic surgery ( she stuttered head down)

I felt my breath fading away ,, I started sweating my whole body turned sodden with sweat. I couldn't believe she just said . After all the sacrifices I made to get the money she used it on her beauty .

landlord: Huli I've made my decision I will take your daughter,

I looked at the man everything started swaying around . I got lost in my own maze of fear . My heart pounded in my chest that it was all I could hear at the moment . My head started buzzing . The man was walking closer to me I could see a zombie ready to tear me apart . I looked at mom for help she just looked away .

Me: y_y_you can't do this I will pay you back your money give me two days I promise ( she stuttered with shaky breaths )

Landlord: pay me with your body ...money is nothing compared to your beauty ( he whispered eyes red with pools of lust )

Suddenly he gripped my wrist with much strength that I felt as if something burned my wrist I let out a scream of struggle and pain . He let go my hand leaving red marks and dragged me by the hair my mom just watched with trembling hands as he took me to my room and pushed me to the bed that's when I felt something underneath the bed . I was pushed to the floor
