Chapter 1- New beginning

Standing rigidly before the school gates...

 Dressed in a midnight blue skirt and white shirt school uniform, her straight silky dark hair ran down her shoulders.

Seeing the figure, one could roughly guess that she was nervous about going in, her hands on the strap of her backpack tightened, and she bit down on her lower lip.

After the terrorist attack, Chen Qing Qing mother died, but she never knew her mother died in the hands of the terrorist, her father lied to her that her mother died of a rare and terrible illness and her last wish was that she, Qing Qing was happy.

Calming her palpitating heart, she practiced her breathing exercise. She breathe in and the rich fragrance in the air filled her nostrils, making her feel a bit comfortable. This is a new journey, a new beginning, and nothing ain't going to stop that. Thinking about this, the girl's eyes shone determination and fighting spirit.

"Delilah… Delilah… " someone called, running towards Chen Qing Qing, the rigid figure turned around to see Bei Xiao Shi (Amy Bei). Amy has been her friend since middle school, and she was glad to have her as a friend.

"Nervous?"  Amy asked with her hands on her knees, panting. She looked up at Delilah, who was also staring back at her.

Delilah shook her head and then slowly nodded with puppy eyes and pouted lips.

"Ha…. Ha… Ha!" Amy laughed out.

"You don't have to be so childish, this is high school, there's absolutely nothing to be worried about, hm!" Amy consoled, patting Delilah's shoulder as she revealed a bright smile that can allow anyone to be lost gazing at it.

Delilah felt much comfortable and a forced smile also adorned her face as she nodded.

" Good girl" Amy clapped Delilah's back. " … Let's go in to check our class list. I hope we are in the same class" Amy held Delilah's hand and the two beauties entered into the school.

Standing before the class list, Delilah's face sunk. Seeing this, Amy comforted her

" It's going to be fine, we may not be in the same class, but we will always be best friends okay"

Delilah had her head downcast, she looked like an abandoned puppy but still, she nodded at Amy's word even though she didn't feel comfortable at all.

" Good girl! Now stop looking like you just got abandoned on your wedding day, you're making people think I'm bullying you" Amy laughed and Delilah hugged her

Amy has always been good to her, and she loves her. She has always been a mother figure to her.
