"I am not just afraid of her, I am afraid of your fan girls, too," Delilah shook her head.
"I just do not want some random nobodies attacking me for something I am innocent of," she said in a cold voice that made them shudder.
"I hope classmate Frederick understand"
Frederick muttered, "So it is my fault, huh?"
Anna hurriedly said, "Yes, it is, so please leave."
" I hope classmate Frederick understands…. Many students are watching, please leave, Delilah continued.
" I won't leave unless you accept my gifts" Frederick furrowed his brows.
" Are you being serious?" Anna crossed her arms over her chest and snorted coldly.
" Yes, yes I am", Fredrick nodded earnestly.
Delilah sighed and collected the gifts, she squeezed her lips into a faint smile and said," Thank you classmate Frederick, please leave now"
Fredrick smiled from ear to ear, he nodded like a gentleman and left.
" So annoying!" Anna looked like she was about to explode. Delilah chuckled and softly pat her back after putting the gifts away.
" It's fine, let's head to the infirmary before we go to the cafeteria"
As the two girls made their way to the infirmary down the hall, Delilah noticed a familiar figure ahead of her. Whether he was conversing with a girl, or was the girl conversing with him, she can't tell.
Her heart skipped a beat when Harrison locked eyes with her, it lasted nearly ten seconds before he averted his gaze.
His eyes were so emotionless that they were almost freezing. His eyes glistened as they locked gaze, and she could see the layers upon layers of frost that suddenly formed seconds later. It seemed as though his eyes wanted to swallow her whole.
What does it mean? Was he upset with me? Or was he aware of what transpired with Fredrick? Or is he not able to recall me?
Her head buzzed, and a sharp pain shot through her head. Before everything went black, Delilah heard Anna calling her.
" Delilah…. Delilah…. Wake up!"
When Anna noticed that Delilah was not answering when she was talking about the possible lunch purchases, she turned to face her and saw that she was once again thinking. Just as she was about to reprimand her, her body swayed.
When Delilah passed out in her arms, the students flocked to her side, but none of them wanted to assist her—the girls wouldn't because of her close relationship with Fredrick, and the boys could not because they hated her for defaming their goddess, Amy.
While trying to carry her, Anna sprained her wrist.
" Come help me, will you?" Anna yelled.
" Why should we help her? She deserves it, attempting to be friends with Fredrick," a slender girl sneered.
"Yes, passing out to win people over. I have never seen someone so shamelessly dark-hearted," a big-eyed girl remarked.
"She also embarrassed Amy the other day; what right does she have to receive our sympathy?" scoffed a boy with a pimple-filled face.
"You crazy fools, will you just watch her die here? She detests Fredrick just as much as I do!" Anna disputed, but the students gave them contemptuous looks.
"Let me…" a captivating deep voice resounded in the hallway as Anna attempted to carry her once more, and the students gasped. Before Anna could react, the person had already taken Delilah from her.
Harrison delivered a lot of face-slapping when he simply carried Delilah in his arms in a princess-like manner. As they left, Anna could not help but look in awe at Harrison; she could hear the girls crying and their hearts breaking.
