Chapter 45 : Shopping Time
Approximately thirty minutes, Kiki and Isabella arrived at the supermarket near Isabella's house after parking the car. Kiki got out of the car together with Isabella after locking the car. The two of them walked side by side while chatting into the supermarket, Kiki took a shopping trolley and a shopping cart. Isabella took the shopping cart while Kiki pushed the trolley. The two of them together looked for anything to buy such as meat, eggs, vegetables, bread to fruit - they also bought snacks such as chips, chocolate, candy and various other snacks. When Isabella was choosing meat to buy Kiki went to buy their snacks, but when he came back the trolley was full of chips and chocolate which made Isabella scold Kiki.
"What are all these snacks for Kiki?" Isabella asked irritatedly at Kiki who smiled innocently and scratched the back of his head.
"Of course, it's a snack for Miss Kim to eat~ hehehehe" Kiki's answer made Isabella wipe her face and then asked Kiki to return some of them.
"Give me come back now! Because we only buy snacks for a few days Kiki, not for a month." Isabella ordered pointing towards the snack aisle, but Kiki was still trying to persuade Isabella.
"Come on princess~ just this once, hmm?" Kiki's persuasion showed his puppy-like face but didn't affect Isabella at all.
"Don't give it back now." Isabella shook her head and then went back to choosing the good meat. Unable to persuade anymore in the end Kiki gave up and pushed the trolley towards the snack aisle and returned some of the snacks he had taken.
After choosing meat Isabella immediately went to find other ingredients she took eggs and put them in the basket after that she went to buy vegetables. While she was picking carrots, Kiki was already beside her yawning.
"Princess~ let's stop by to buy some food I'm hungry." Kiki held his stomach which suddenly made a loud sound. Hearing that made Isabella laugh then turned to Kiki.
"Isn't it too early to eat Kiki? It's not even lunchtime yet. Didn't you eat a lot this morning didn't you?" Isabella smiled at Kiki whose face looked like someone who hadn't eaten in a week.
"But I'm hungry again princess~" Kiki answered while holding his stomach.
"I wonder why you eat so much?" Asked Isabella who returned to choosing carrots.
"That's an obvious reason. Since I'm still growing, it's only natural that I eat a lot right." Kiki's honest answer made Isabella laugh until she had to cover her mouth so as not to disturb other people. Because she couldn't bear it with Kiki, after shopping for vegetables, Isabella decided to stop by the hamburger stand for a while to buy food for Kiki. As soon as they arrived, Kiki ordered a very large hamburger, French fries and a large soda, while Isabella ordered only one small French fries and a small soda. The two of them sat at the table provided and ate their food.
While Kiki was eating his food voraciously, Isabella who was sitting opposite him ate her french fries slowly and drank her drink while looking around her. For a moment Isabella seemed to see the shadow of someone watching her and Kiki from afar but after one more look, the person's shadow disappeared. Making Isabella unconsciously frown, made Kiki, who was drinking his soda, confused about what Isabella saw.
"What are you looking at, princess?" Kiki's question made Isabella realize and then immediately turned to Kiki who was also watching her.
"Ahh, it's nothing Kiki I was just looking at the clothes shop over there." Isabella pointed at the men's clothing store which was opposite the hamburger stand.
"Ohh~ do you want to buy some clothes, princess? But that's a clothes shop for boys, want to buy clothes for Aska and Defka?" Kiki also looked at the shop that Isabella pointed to but he was confused because it was a men's clothing store.
"Well, maybe I think they will both be happy because soon they will be leaving abroad for their Olympics and they will be happy if they buy new clothes," Isabella answered with a smile on her face. Kiki who saw it also smiled.
"In that case, okay. What if after we finished shopping for groceries we also shopped for clothes for them, besides, I also felt like buying a new jacket and hat. What do you think, princess?" Isabella smiled and nodded her head.
"Hmm~ Alright but we shouldn't be too long because we have to get back before lunchtime. If we come home late Yifan and Master Cho will be worried." Kiki nodded to Isabella's answer. After that they continued their meal in silence Isabella apologized for lying to Kiki but she couldn't possibly tell Kiki that at first glance she saw someone watching them. Isabella doesn't want to make Kiki worry just because of her hunch and also because recent events have made her two cousins exhausted both physically and mentally. She doesn't want to make him sad or even hurt for the umpteenth time.
Right after they finished eating Kiki and Isabella proceeded to buy the remaining groceries such as fruit and bread. They also bought a few pieces of chicken and sausage for extra and lastly they bought drinks like milk, coffee, juice and a few cans of soda. After that, they went straight to the cashier to pay for everything. After they finished paying, Kiki and Isabella each brought two shopping bags in their hands but after that Kiki took two shopping bags from Isabella.
"Just let me carry it, princess." Kiki carried two shopping bags in each hand.
"But Kiki I can still carry it too." Isabella tries to take it back but is immediately stopped by Kiki.
"Come on, princess. Just let me carry it okay? After all, a man who lets a girl carry heavy things is weak. And of course, I'm not one of them." Kiki said while winking one eye at Isabella. Which made the girl smile and sigh.
"In that case, okay. My cousin is the most powerful person in the world!" Isabella answered who was walking beside Kiki. The two laughed casually then and walked side by side towards the clothes shop to buy clothes for Aska and Defka as well as Kiki who wanted to buy for himself. And when the two of them entered the clothing store, they both didn't realize that someone had been watching them both.
