CHAPTER SIX (SHAMELESS JACKASS)

Arielle was too embarrassed to even tell her mother and so she kept it to herself and when they got home, Mrs. Rachel just wanted to keep on talking nonstop about how good the young man is.

Arielle arrived at the company late the next day and went straight to her office. When she woke up, she didn't see her mother at home and so she decided that she would call her when she got to the office.

She called but Mrs Rachel's phone was unreachable. Arielle got up and went out to make herself a cup of coffee and that was when she saw her mom and Marcos.

With a smile, she walked slowly towards them to surprise them both but stopped in shock at what she heard.

Arielle promised to pay for your mom's operation. Mrs. Rachel asked after Marcos bluntly lied about Arielle promising to sponsor the treatment of his sick mother in the hospital.

Yes ma'am. Arielle is so sweet and nice, she promised me her salary for this month and I am so glad that you are here and that I heard you talking about money with the boss. I am sure Arielle has sent you to collect her salary and give the money to me, right? He asked.

His shamelessness was fueling the anger already burning up in Arielle's heart as she heard all of his lies.

Mrs Rachel believed that if her daughter had told him so then she would surely do it and so she brought out a bundle of money and handed it to Marcos who collected it greedily and with a sly smile by the corner of his mouth.

You are so disgusting. Arielle thundered from behind them and everyone stopped in their tracks to look at her.

How dare you lie to my mother to take money from her? Arielle thundered again. She clutched her fist together ready to punch his face with her already hardened hand that was made so strong because of her boxing practice.

Surprised and shaking behind Mrs Rachel, Marcos bowed his head in fear and bite his lips over and over again.

I didn't expect this from you because somewhere in my heart, I thought and hoped that you will be different, sincere, and the absolute best man for me. Arielle said, she was almost moved to tears but kept holding it back. The sight of him was hurting her.

Mrs. Rachel just stood watching her daughter speak with surprise on her face. She had no idea of what was going on.
