Love in Destiny: We Are The One

"This has got to be a mistake." He shouted, grasping onto the edge of the table, waiting for an explanation. "Sebastian, you are still the youngest CEO of YD's history, but..." "But what? I am just a puppet of this random woman?!" He pointed at the corner of the room, all eyes on her- the quiet lady who had not made a sound since this uncomfortable meeting started. "You will be the face of YD. Like your grandfather has ever wanted. But you will be helped by our expert group, and one of them is Jen. Jen will be around until you are really ready to take over." Almost holding back tears, Sebastian looked at Jen- this mysterious woman who had been sitting there quietly. "Don't worry," she finally opened her mouth, her voice was calm and light, not bothered by the heavy atmosphere in this room, " Mr. Day, I will never embarrass you in public. Just tell people I am your secretary. Or your nanny." "Sure, we will see." Sebastian thought to himself, "Let's see who is the real boss." Mist Before Truth

Tim woke up on the sofa in an empty room.

Beth was already gone.

Tim didn't like the way Beth described this Gala- and the fact that he was planning to butter some of them up to see if he could do some networking.

"Why are you working for Sebastian?" Beth asked him while taking off her uncomfortable-looking heels.

"I don't work for him, we are friends," Tim answered while trying not to look at Beth whose chest was about to spill out of her top.

"Excuse the outfit," Beth noticed how Tim was visually uncomfortable, "I have to go all the way out for my parents to believe that I have a thing for Mr. Sebastian."

Beth asked him a lot of questions about Jen and Sebastian- she was so curious to know more about this little couple that she was called on to destroy.

"Did Lynn hire you?" Tim asked Beth.

She had both of her hands hidden in Tim's blazer, sitting like a bunny waiting for food.
