Chapter 52

He hadn’t heard anyone come in but there was a tray of light food and a large weeping pitcher of something that looked like water and smelled like lemons. He immediately flushed, he hadn’t seen anyone, but whoever it had been had definitely gotten an eyeful. He shrugged, nudity wasn’t a thing for the Flight, maybe sex wasn’t a big deal either. He carried a large glass of the liquid back to Carina and helped her sit up and sip it until it was gone.

He helped her out of her dress and helped her lay back down before tucking her in. “There’s food, you should eat before you go to sleep.” He brought her food and fed her, helping her tired body find sustenance until she waved him away with a tired smile.

“Thank you, Ishaan.” She rolled to her side and her eyes sank shut, utterly asleep in moments.
