Slowly, he dropped to his knees, eyes never leaving hers and crossed his wrists over his heart. He didn’t know why, it just felt right to him and judging from the look on Carina’s face his posture and actions meant something, and it was nothing that she’d expected from him. He remained still, he didn’t want to move and break the moment that they were sharing right then. It felt heavy and important, like he was offering himself to her and he waited breathlessly for her to do what she needed to.

“Do you know what you do?” She asked him quietly, expression puzzled but warm. “Do you truly mean to offer yourself to me this way?”
