Carina was fully in contemplative meditation when her door slowly creaked open and shut again. That was probably the Flight delivering her food for the day. Her stomach rumbled, loud in the silence that had surrounded her in the days of her seclusion. There was a comfort in the silence that enveloped her chamber and she had very nearly stopped thinking about Ishaan. Her first days had been difficult and she had spent more time in tears than she had in contemplation.
But she was better now, she was the Soul of the Flight and Carina had been banished to the depths of her mind where the silly girl still cried for her heartbreak. The Mother had said that she would speak with Ishaan and would see if he was worthy but he had never come. So he hadn’t been worthy and she needed to put him from her mind.
