voice of chirping bird hear from outside the windows. a middle aged woman walking to a room, knock it several times but no answer. she then open the door and walk near the window. "Morning" Mom open the curtain. light from the sun enter my room.

"wake up" mom said

I take my blanket to cover my face, the sun makes my eyes blind, or I just exaggerated.

"Song, wake up. dad is waiting outside for breakfast together " Mom said

I open the blanket slowly

"really? dad is here" I asked

"yup" mom answer

"now sit down and wash your face" Mom grab my hand, pull it, I stand and she pushed me to bathroom.

"we will wait outside " mom shout

I look at the mirror and see my face. it's bloated. I turn on the water and wash my face also brush my teeth. I also shaving, I wipe my face and put some moisturizer. now it's look better and fresh.

"morning" dad said and drink his coffee, he hold a newspapers.

"good morning" I said

"sit here" Mom said

I sit in my chair

"there you go" Mom put a bowl of soup

"seaweed soup?" I said

"ah why?" mom sit down

"looks like our son forgotten his birthday " dad said

"ah" I said

"I'm sorry mom" I said

"it's okay, you were busy these days. you also lack of sleep" mom pat my hair

"happy birthday our son" mom and dad said

"where's nuna?" I asked for my sister

"oh she's left since morning, she have a class" mom said

"but she left this, she asked me to give it to you" mom take out a pretty wrapped gift.

"open it" mom said

I open the gift, it's small and light. when I open it I found a card.

"to my baby brother, happy birthday. I'm sorry I can't accompany you to eat seaweed soup. I hope you eat well. I wish for you luck and success. XOXO, your sister. P.S let's eat together next time"

I open the little box and get surprises.

"what's inside it? what's your sister gave you?" my mom ask

"it's earphone" I said

"I hope you won't lost it again since it's from your sister" my dad laughs

it's a common history that I always lost my earphones, last time is the eleventh earphones.

"yes, I understand. I'll protect this with all my life" I said

"let's eat, it will be cold" mom said

I take a spoonful of seaweed soup, it's common tradition to eat seaweed soup at our birthday. mom's seaweed soup taste like heaven, so delicious, gladly I can come home before my birthday and spend some time with my family.

"Song-a, are gonna eat with your friends?" Mom ask

"hm, there's no sign from them. maybe they forgot my birthday as well " I said

mom and dad look at each other.

"song-a take this" mom gives some envelopes

"what's this" I ask

"open it, it's gift from us" dad said

I open the envelops and I get some ticket. I read it letter by letter, it's a train tickets and a vacation stay in hot spring.

"woah daebak " I said

"it must be costly " I said

"ah no worries, actually we will use it but then dad have other plan so the voucher is a waste if we not use it. and we bought extra tickets for your friend. it would be bored if go alone. enjoy your short vacation with your friends" mom said

"yeah yeah, I'll go this Saturday. we doesn't have a class at weekend. I'll call them it's been a while since we go on an outing" I said

I dial some numbers, I can hear connections sound

"oh... song-a" a deep husky voices heard

"Are you just wake up?" I asked

then I hear another voice, it's girl voice. she said about eat breakfast. that's definitely Hyo Joo, Hyun Jae's girlfriend.

"kind of" he giggling

"let's go on short trip this weekend " I said

he seems not remembering my birthday

"okay, oh... let's meet today. Bom bought new PC games. he wants to brag about it"

"okay" I thought he will say gather to celebrate my birthday, bit disappointing.

I'm waiting at the Cafe, it's been 10 minutes but Hyun Jae and Bom still now show up. I put my head at the table cause I really bored.

suddenly a crowd birthday song heard from inside the Cafe.

turns out all my friends come and celebrate my birthday. Vivi holds the cake and others clapping their hands. I can't hide my happiness and touches feelings over their surprises for me.

they all sits around me, there are Vivi, Hyun Jae, Bom, Hyo Joo, Nana, even Hong jo also comes along. The cake is so pretty, a little chicken decorated with melody sign.

"happy birthday dear" Vivi said and kiss my cheek

my cheeks feel burn and I become so shy from vivi's brave moves. everyone just giggling.

"you didn't think we forgot right?" Bom ask

"oh, why I must think about that?" I said

"heol, he's sound so down when he called me" Hyun Jae said

"no, when I did that" I hit Hyun Jae arms

everyone just laughing over it. we enjoying my birthday party at the Cafe together.

"we also prepared a gift for you" Hyo Joo said

I open mint wrap gift from Hyo Joo and Hyun Jae. I really surprises when I saw it.

"what's that" Nana wants to know

"it's a digital audio workspace" I said

"it's expensive " I said

"Don't worry we bought it together " Hyo Joo said

I take the small gifts wrap with soft pink paper.

I open the gift, it's couple rings with our name on it

"ehem.. I don't bring any gifts. I can't prepared anything but I'll do this" Hong joo stands and walk to Cafe counter talk about something.

the Cafe worker hands him a guitar.

Hong joo take it and walk to us.

"ah ... I almost forgot. look" I place the voucher at table

"it's hot spring staycation" Hyun Jae said

"yeah, we can use one guest house but they just bought 3 tickets, I want all of us going together " I said

"it will be fun to spend a night and grill some meat" I said

"I don't mind to buy my own ticket, it's not far and expensive actually " Nana said

we all except Hyo Joo and Hong Joo goes to market. Hyo Joo need to work and Hong Joo have a class.

"huh, why they must go together " Hyun Jae said

"hahaha, are you jealous " Nana said

I put angry puppy face to her

"Nana, don't tease him. he's not in the mood now" Bom said

"cause he's a fly catcher now, hahaha " Bom laughing

yeah Hyun Jae is walk alone without his girlfriend while us walking together with our girlfriend like newlyweds.

"finally " I shout

we walking inside the train, six of us. we spend good time chatting, take a picture and else. after 1 hour we arrived at the train station. we will take a cab to our destination.

just 10 minutes we arrives in front of our place. so it's hot spring surrounded by room, but also there's several guest house we can book for stay. my parents had a voucher and already paid all of facilities.

the employee give us the key and escorts us to the house.

"this is one bedroom guest house. there's one bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 big space living room, kitchen and private hot spring. you also can do barbecue at mini garden" employee explain

"woah, thank you" I said

"then I'll go now. excuse me" the employee leave us.

"okay, girls will sleep at bedroom and we will sleep at living room. we already told the employee to give us extra mattress and blankets " I said

Vivi, Hyo Joo and Nana walk to the bedroom. first of all the room is big and cozy. Hyo Joo walk around and find some jar. she's suspicious and take it, try to open it.

"what are you doing?" Nana ask

"oh, I just suspicious what's inside this jar" Hyo joo said

"give it to me" Nana said

she shakes it,

"maybe it's candies" Hyo joo said

Nana then try to open it but fails. So she walks out and follow by Hyo joo and Vivi.

me, Hyun Jae and Bom is set up our belongings and food when they all comes.

"Bom, open this" Nana ask Bom

Bom pout his lip but still trying open it.

"silly, it's still sealed" Bom cut the top of the lid and turning out the lid

"clack" the jar is open

"is it a candy?" Hyo Joo ask

since the bottle have no mark and also black, we can't see what's inside it, Bom pouring it to his hands.

a plastic wrap fall from the jar to Bom hand.

"for full protection " Bom read it

"gyaaaaaa" all of girls running of embarrassment while Hyun Jae fall down and I'm laughing like crazy and Bom just stand there like a statue.

so, it's a condom not candy like Hyo Joo think.

"it's lunch time" Bom knock bedroom door

the girls come out while hiding their shy face.

"Nana, help me cut the veggies" Bom said

Nana walk to him and stand beside Bom they begin to cut the veggies. Hyun Jae drag Hyo Joo to prepare some dishes and me also Vivi prepare the table.

we all cooking together and we become silly again. we all eat the lunch.

"oh this is so delicious" I said

"this made by my future wife" Hyun Jae said

makes Hyo joo burst

"hahaha"Hyun Jae laughs

"and who cut onions this big" I ask

"my future ex girlfriend" Bom said

and Nana hit him

we all enjoying our lunch with full of laughs.

"I'm full, this is great lunch. what will we do next?" Vivi ask

"let's go for a walk around. and when we back let's enjoy the hot spring " I said

"great"

"Bom, accompany me to buy something " Nana said

"what will you buy" Bom ask

"I forgot to bring my toothbrush " Nana said

"oh okay" Bom said

"let's go out and back before 4" Hyun Jae said

"can we go separately ?" Nana ask

"yeah it's okay. keep in touch if something happens okay" Hyo Joo said

we go separately to our destination. Bom and Nana will go to shopping around, Hyun Jae and Hyo Joo will walk around and take some pictures and, Vivi will go to a noodles restaurant that been famous recently with me.

"are you open my gift?" Vivi ask

"then..." Vivi ask

"let's go... let's prepares" I said

then we enjoyed just 1 bowl of noodles, cause we already eat our lunch.

Bom and Nana enjoying their shopping time. while Hyo Joo busy taking pictures with Hyun Jae.

"ah... it's cold" Hyun Jae said

"let's back to guest house" Hyo Joo said

"but it's 3 now, no one will back" Hyun Jae said

"camera and my phone also run out of battery. let's get back charge it and take a picture around our stays" Hyo Joo said

"beside my lips already freezing" Hyo joo said

Hyun Jae walk closer and kiss her lips

"what about now?" Hyun Jae ask

"I don't know...." Hyo joo running from him

they both back to our guest house. it's really freezing for them different from rest of us who spend indoor time. they all do outdoor activities, taking picture and walking around.

Hyun jae and Hyo Joo open their wet jacket and run to heater. they sit in front of it, warm their bodies.

"hah... it's so good" Hyun Jae said

"yeah it's warm" Hyo Joo put her head at Hyun Jae shoulder

Hyun Jae touch hyo Joo's face and grab her waist.

"it's dangerous here" Hyun Jae said

he starts kissing Hyo Joo softly. Hyun Jae stroke Hyo Joo hairs gently. Hyo joo right hand stroke Hyun Jae black brownie hairs. Hyun Jae holds her tighter make him can feel all Hyo joo's body.

Hyun Jae stop his kiss and put his hand under Hyo Joo knees, hold her up in his arms and bring her. Hyun Jae sits at the couch and Hyo Joo sits above his laps.

"I love you" Hyun Jae said

"I love you too" Hyo joo kiss Hyun Jae's forehead

"you are a cure for me" Hyo Joo said

"how can I manage all of this" Hyun Jae said

he grabs Hyo joo waist and kiss Hyo Joo passionately.

they both can feel some heat in their body. some electric shocks feel when they hold each other hand and stroke each other bodies. they both stop kissing and looks into each other eyes.

Hyun Jae open his sweater, he wears white sleeveless t shirt. showing his good muscles. Hyo Joo touch his abs from out side his t shirt.

Hyun Jae touch Hyo Joo neck and move down his hand to Hyo joo shirt. Hyun Jae looks at Hyo joo's face, Hyo joo can't hide her shy face. Hyun Jae then holds Hyo Joo hands and kiss it.

"it's okay" Hyun Jae said

"we will do it when we ready" Hyun Jae said

Hyo Joo cover her face. Hyun Jae take her hands and look to her face

"I'm sorry" Hyo joo said

"there's nothing to sorry for" Hyun Jae said and hug Hyo joo.

"let's wrap some for dinner" I said

"let's go back earlier" vivi said

"okay"

when we open the house we already surprises with some sweet view from other couple. Hyo Joo and Hyun Jae fall asleep at the couch together. Hyun Jae sleeping while sitting and Hyo Joo sleeping at his lap.

"ssst" I said

"let's take a picture " I said again

me and Vivi giggling and keep taking some pictures of this sleeping couple. gladly Hyun Jae already put on his sweater before fall asleep.

Vivi and I sits at the edge of hot spring pool. we only put our foot inside the pool. we eat some snack when Nana and Bom comeback.

Nana as expected, smile widely and interrupt our sleeping couple.

hyo joo wake up and realize everyone is back.

"I'm sorry" She said

"it's okay. you two must be tired" Nana teases Hyo joo

Hyun Jae who also wake up then stands like nothing happened. he walks casually to hot spring.

"hey let's enjoy this hot spring" I said

we all sits inside the pool and playing, the pool is not big or small but it's good.

after taking bath we prepared for dinner. I and Hyun jae will grilled some meat. the girls will cook side dish at kitchen and Bom set up other things.

"you know how to grill it" Bom Ask

"of course. do you think we are kids?" I said

5 minutes later

"help, aa... aw... hot... aaa" Hyun Jae husky scream heard all the way

"hey hey give this water " I said

but the fire getting bigger

"wa....." both of me and Hyun Jae screaming

Bom then came, bring some damp cloth and put it above the fire. the fire finally of.

"hey both of you. just wash the dishes later okay"

Bom take over our disaster, we just nods.

We sits together eat our dinner that can happen with helps of Bom.

"wah the grilled beef looks appetizing " Nana said

"gladly Bom came to the rescue " Nana teases us

"who are you to say that, who chop that chonky onions back then" I confront her

Nana put her tongue out

we all know it's all jokes from friend to friend. we all six here have different personalities but we always can overcome our differences and always stand side by side in every situation.

"sleeping time" Bom said

"no..." Nana hugs Bom

"Stop it, sleep inside. it's cold here" Bom said

"huh" Nana let her hugs and stomping to bedroom

"I'll sleep now" Hyo Joo said

Hyun Jae walks closer and whisper something to hyo joo

making Hyo Joo's face turns red, she walks slowly to bedroom.

"bye" Vivi said

we all sleep at living room, it's cold but we have heater and hot blankets.

"hey... what were you did with Hyo joo?" I ask Hyun Jae

"nothing, we play around and feel cold so we back and heat our body and fall asleep" Hyun Jae said

"really..." Bom said

"yeah" Hyun Jae said

"you bad at lying my friend " I said

"and what about you? " Hyun Jae ask

"what are you and Vivi did at the pool" Hyun Jae ask

" we just sits there" I said

"Song-a... you also a terrible liar" Bom said

"I know what you both did" Bom said

"uh ,oh... how" Hyun Jae said

"you two makes some scene, I wonder if this place is clean" Bom laughing while teasing both me and Hyun Jae.

both of us sit and choke Bom neck who sleep at the middle

"let's kill him so or secret is safe" I said

"ahaha please ,help me" Bom laughing

we are all laughing in the living room while Nana who sleeps at the middle already sleeping but the two other girls can't sleep at all.

Hyo Joo can't forget what happened this afternoon. she touch Hyun Jae abs, how an embarrassment acts of her.

Vivi busy with her mind. how she becomes so brave giving Hotel booking cards as birthday gift for Song. she might act cool all day but she already want to scream aloud.
