So We Begin

"I have just finished making the hourglasses." Adal informs his sister. She has been absentmindedly watching the waves as the sun rises above them. 

"That is great." She says without looking away from the view outside the study window. 

"What is it? Are you not feeling well?" He strides to her side and squeezes her shoulder. 

"Just a bit nervous, I guess." She finally turns to face him. "This is going to work, is it not?"

"Of course it will." He reassures her. "We have knowledge that came straight from a God."

"But that God abandoned us." She reminds him. "Can we still trust what he has shared with you?"

"I do not think he would have risked his son's life by sharing false information." Adal tells her.

"His son?" Ylva raises an eyebrow. "You never told me about that."

"My apologies, dear, that was also part of the deal."

"But you can share it now?"
