Prisoner

Bodil finally manages to sneak away from her chaperone. Using one of the glass balcony doors, she escapes the loud and crowded ballroom of Lady Berg. Nobility has a lot of time on their hands. This is only the third formal event that she is attending, but she has already had enough of the dreadful socializing and dancing. 

She takes a deep breath, filling her lungs with fresh air, and tries to calm her nerves. What she is about to do will require a very calm state. She gathers her silver dress and pulls the hem a little higher than appropriate. It does not matter, though. It is too dark and she has to disappear before someone notices her absence. Actually, she wants someone to notice her absence, but maybe after she puts a hundred miles between her and this place.
