Julie Madrigal was a mother of two children. Once she was legally separated from her ex-husband, she went to the only place she felt safe. The Scottish Highlands. Then again, she had only seen the place in books and videos, but the land called to her. And she wasn't expecting love. Duncan McLaren was the current Laird of the land. He was charming, helpful, and the epitome of a perfect man. Yet he hides a secret that would destroy the very thing he hold dear to his heart. Meeting Julie was kismet and he would gladly give up everything to be with her and the kids. But will love be enough to keep her? Or will the past destroy everything?
We stayed at Paradise City for a night.
The same place where the Korean song that I liked was filmed. Walking to the front of the hotel, I cannot help but smile and hum the song.
"Lass," Duncan called me, amusement could be heard from his voice, "you are no' going to suddenly sing, are you?"
I did the opposite. I danced to the music I could only hear in my head. Nicole saw me and danced along. Duncan laughed and waited for us to stop.
"Come on, lass," he kissed my forehead before herding me and Nicole to the front door of the hotel.
I had to blink several times. I opulence of the place was beyond words. I heard my kids' gasps in amazement too. I get it, never in our wildest dreams could we afford to stay in this kind of place.
