Second Piece~1!

This kind of radio transmission was circulating for a while. It's only an hour past since the dimensional rift slashed in the open air without any summoning dungeon appearance. Before people could properly report and panic, monsters started pouring down like rainwater.

This was the first time anyone had seen these many dungeon creatures erupting at once that seemed like they could even cover the whole Japan beneath them. There was no stop to it.

Immediate help only arrived after almost half a thousand people were massacred. Mana wielder or not, everyone was torn like a piece of old cloth. Mercilessly.

It wasnt like the ability user were weak. There were a couple of A rankers residing in central Japan near the association. But the level of monster was something that they never could imagine when the number of them was in this abundance. The monster was on the middle tier of 'A' rank which generally a couple of similar ranked could handle but the situation wasnt the same. The number of their opponent was unbelievably absurd, so one have to resolve themselves before they could decide to face.

The gray metal-wearing knight monster, who never showed any kind of unnecessary reaction or made a single audible sound, just slashed their razer sharp blades and annihilated humans. It seemed that they were simply programmed to do so and unfortunately, their work was sailing fluently.

Only in an hour, the whole of Tokyo had become the living dungeon on Earth, where monsters' were now habitating rather than human.

About five hundred of them were guarding the rift while the other knights amounting just double of guarding knights, were slowly increasing their terrain. After conquering Tokyo they were on the verge of dominating Saitama and Yokohama.

Today, Japan realized what the word 'Unfortunate', meant. The only time when every 'S' rank was out for a mission, this dark day befell on them. Naturally, the important people of the association including Shigeo had left the red zones and further 'handling' the matter through radio services.

In case of crisis when there were no active 'S' ranks were available only two options were left for the Japanese government and the reason for the hope of the citizen.

First, either they call national rank hunter which might take time and whole worth of the capital amount, or try to contact high-rank hunters from other countries, same as they offered to Korea.

And the second option was to remain self-reliable and take help from old-timers. (Not in literal mean).

"I never thought that we will fight side by side like this again. But here we are". Sasha shouted as she used fire lances to pierce the heavy metal of the knight's. She had to use continuously three lances to kill one knight but thanks to the recent activities she was doing with her baby, her mana pool has slightly increased.

" What can you expect from a world where dungeons exist huh?" Fubuki shouted as well, as she lifted two knights at the same time turning them into a crap ball. They were 'S' rank not only the name.

Where 'A' ranks were finding it challenging to fight a couple of knights alone, these two beauties were simply killing bundles at once.

But to what avail?

As they cleared one section, another downpour of grayish heavy rain happens to result in an unending loop.

"Any word from Subaru?" Even they seemed unfazed from continuous battle, this itch in their heart never settled down.

"Yes. It seems, the radio signal isn't blocked but only the people are forbidden to cross thag scrappy barrier." She just had a chat with Subaru before she came here. Naturally, he told her as well Fubuki to not go but soon he left them as they liked as he knew it was futile to argue with them.

And it wasnt like he loved people dying out of nowhere. He wasnt a hero but not a psycho too who, even having the capability would leave people dying like this. This same thought or rather a stronger was engraved in the two former hunters too, so they rushed as soon as possible after hearing the news.

On the polar opposite side of the group who was fighting along with the two 'S' rank, a boy was struggling with the knights alone.

'Flame breathing. Second Form...'

Creating a wheel of flame, he split the knight into two halves.

'....Rising Scorching Sun'.

The fact that these knights didnt have a body inside the armor was already known by the world, so Kyojuro didnt halt after seeing it and continued his assault.

He was the first person who reacted as an aide and dashed all the way to the center of Tokyo. He did want to save people and help the helpless', but the primary motive for which he came was undoubtedly to enter the rift and take his vengeance.

But looking at the number of opponents in front, he wasnt sure how long it would take him. Even with his inhuman agility and stamina, he wouldn't be able to endure more than a day, however looking at the nonstop monster appearance, he has started having his doubts.

The Momobami clan also sent their troops on the mission to safely evacuate the citizens but not to engage in battle until necessary. This order was natural for them to imply, as any of the hunters in the clan's arsenal wasnt exceeding 'A' rank. If it was was for their advanced weapons, they wouldn't have endured so long and helped so many civilian casualties.

There was no chance the clan and Lord Yama would have allowed Ririka to participate in the subjugation due to various reasons and because of recent incidents, she also accepted her elder's decision.

Japan was in chaos till the time they lost all their precious hunters but now they were devastated to the core. A total hell which one could not help but shiver upon even gawking.

{Cha-In's perspective}

'Were we living in this same world until now?....' I couldn't help but think whether the person in front of me was really existing among us or he just popped out of the heavens. Well, it was rude to think like this about the person who saved my life, but I couldn't help it.

I haven't been since too long but I never had come across a single entity that possessed so much potential. First, his charming anf decisive swordsmanship was a complete treat to the eyes. I have been practicing with a sword since ever, and I think having a duo with him would be interesting but that thought simply started fading away.

He wasnt a swordsman that was clear at the exact moment he used summoning skill. I was baffled to know that a person could carry so many different traits and still never came into the limelight. I was already started to admire him little by little.

After coming out, we spotted that a barrier was created around the island. The barrier wasnt there an hour ago from what Mr. Subaru said. After the annihilation of every single ant, which was a feat to achieve itself, he started analyzing the barrier.

I was never good with barrier identification nor did I try to learn but looking at the boy who looked a little younger, I felt I should have.

"What do you think is he doing?" Ma Dongwook whispered silently on which Hunter Cho explained bits and pieces of barrier evaluation. It's surprising to see the nation's top hunter being respectful toward someone even they have met the person more so small amount of time.

However, it was to be expected. Certainly, from a point of view, he could be counted as a threat too, but even we tried to fight him with our full strength I am one-twenty percent sure, that we would end up in his shadow army.

'It's fortunate for us...no for humanity that he is on our side'.

'Someone doesn't want me to interfere huh'. Clenching my fist I concluded that this barrier was none other than drawn by the rift guys. The ancient runic language was something I couldn't fully understand.

'Guess I have to go brutal way'.

Turning back I walked to the hunter's group who were gawking at the surrounding. Three Japanese hunters were rescued by Beru, adding strong points for his proffer to become 'General.'

"I am creating a barrier around you but the tremors might be felt even after that, so brace yourself," I warned them, as I was at running slow already. Mom and Fubuki were on the battlefield and even after achieving this much power if I couldn't help them then I didnt know what would I do.

The hunters didnt say anything just nodded.

After creating a regular effect negating the barrier, I walked toward away a little.

"Arise".

With the command, some selected warriors from my shadow emerged including the giants, the nagas, and the sole Phoenix and wyvern in my army. I only called those monsters who had the same kind of affinity.

Flames.

Remembering something I turned toward the group of hunters. Their face was sheet pale with their body visibly shivering. It was to be expected. The wyvern alone could take all of them out anytime it wants and the most troublesome thing is that the creature doesn't know how to suppress its aura at all.

(A/N: No name for wyvern until now. Any suggestion?)

" Hunter Cho if you don't mind, would you come out for a second?" Even hunter Cho was defeated miserably in the fight against Beru, it was no denying to say that he is an exceptional mage of the fire element. After mom, I have only seen him so fluent using the flames like he was meant to rule over the blaze.

"Um, su-sure". Giving a forced smile he got up. Baek Yun-Ho patted his back in encouragement before he got out at a slow pace.

" It won't take much time hunter, so don't worry". Gathering everyone sides by side, I gave a single command.

"Fire".

*DNNG*

*SWIISH*

It was the first time I saw so many high-level monsters syncing their firepower, and it was magnificent to watch.

Phoenix and Wyvern had a near close amount of blaze but Phoenix was a little more proficient but the total concentration of mana was capable to destroy a whole city and here the barrier was not even scratched yet.

Raising my hand I also joined the fray.

[Hell fire] Adding Amaterasu with my hellfire, the flames came out blackish-crimson totally overwhelming the other flames. But nothing happened. It was still useless.

I ordered them to a cease-fire and called them back in my shadow.

"It sure doesn't look like mana attack would work on it". I also agreed with hunter Cho as it seemed that the barrier was simply spreading the effect of every mana-originated attack, resulting in our failure.

" You can rest hunter. I will think something". Gliding in the air I approached the end of the island. The blue ocean and the marine ships were visible. I took a deep breath trying to relax my muscles.

'I guess I don't have any other option. ' Physical attack was futile as well the magical ones against this barrier. The time I have wasted was something I was mostly concerned about as knowing the previous encounter with the rifters, I was sure this time the challenge would be more difficult.

Shaking my head to clear my thoughts I started forming the spell which was still not finished yet completely. I knew it was reckless but right now I was in no mood to mind that.

It took me a whole 10 minutes to form the magic formation, supplying the right amount of mana and altering the necessary changes, I formed the spell on my left palm.

This spell was absurd in any way one could measure and I knew it was something no one should have gotten their hands on. But here I was...

[Time-Reversal]

But before I could land my palm on the ground for its activation, I felt my head heavy and in an instant, I fell like a sack on the ground.

The feeling of going numb and manaless was enveloping me and before I knew it, I was again in a room that was imprinted in my mind up to this date.

A/N: Ah it's kinda problematic to write these heavy chapters. Just some more and I will start writing SoL again.

Cha In will take time to become a harem member so be patient. And a little spoiler, after this arc, Subaru will be living in Korea for a while.
