Date in dunegon~ 1!

My knowledge about Necromancy was limited only to a certain manhwa which I read three decades ago. I knew I had the power to rule on the dead but to which extent and what were the shortcomings, was still unknown.

The reason I asked for this power was that I wanted to ensure the safety of every person I love and for that, I needed loyal subordinates. My women were powerful that was for sure, and I highly doubt whether I would ever find any shadow capable of suppressing those who might harm my lovers, that's where my second wish comes.

As I recall, shadow exchange could help me interchange my position with any of my shadows wherever they were. Again, I didnt know whether I had a timeout or something like that or not.

So to find my answers, I planned to visit the paradise of hunters.

'Dungeon'.

Subaru took the respective classes he was directed to during the daytime. In sorcery class, he was able to draw the magic which was asked by Natasha and in survival class, where students were given extreme resistance training, Subaru excelled it comfortably.

The day went by normal, making Subaru bored and his will to leave the school more certain. He didn't find anything new that he wasn't able to grasp outside of the school. And with the new power boost, he had become an entity that even he didnt know until yet.

Ririka was busy learning various things and continued to shine in the class. Her determination didn't waver at all even there was a couple of students, including Yuno, who was matching her pace. She wasn't at top of the class but still attention always drawn up to her.

Since the conversation, Subaru had with Yuno near the fountain, Yuno never approached him. Subaru knew that Yuno was keeping a record of Subaru by following him as much she can, but much to his surprise she has restricted herself from associating with Subaru.

'I should talk to her when the time seems right.' Subaru thought while walking on the empty highway of Tokyo.

It was a late evening near 8. He teleported back only to find a dungeon and test out his new powers. Since the school wasn't allowing students to go inside a dungeon until they gain a certain amount of training, he didn't bother with the school and decided to come up on his own.

The power of the shadow monarch didn't differ anything in his usual senses, he just became a little more sensitive about the mana flows of his own as well as others, regardless they were people or things. He could see someone's or something's power level by seeing them but the problem lies the same as back then...

'I still can't differ'. Subaru sighed as he took out the phone from his dimensional storage.

A message was displayed on the screen. Unlocking the phone, he found it was from. Fubuki.

Ms. Principal: [Can you help. There seems to be some problem].

He frowned his brows and without replying he traced her mana.

It took him half a minute to find her and when he did, he was somewhat surprised.

[Hunter's Association HQ]

[Shinjuku, Tokyo]

On the 54th floor of the majestic building, several busybodies could be seen. These people were all employees of the Association working overtime because of a certain reason.

'An undiscovered gate'. An 'A' rank gate which suddenly was reported by a family has made the association quite troubled. The family was out for five days and when they returned, they found a humongous open gate in their backyard. Since they lived on the mountain peak in the Kyoto region, no neighborhood was there to inform them about the gate.

(A/N: Some gates pop the monster out suddenly while normal once takes 7 days at least to allow them to trespass the gate. And it only is possible with high-rank gates.)

The family informed the association about it and within an hour they were evacuated from their home. There were thousands of mana detectors spread across the country, covering each region of Japan. Since these sensors were able to detect the peculiar mana leak of dungeons up to 10-kilometer range, they covered most of the region and informed the monitoring department of Hunter's Association.

Those areas that weren't covered by mana detectors were informed by people.

The mountain in Kyoto was in the range of one of the detectors but since the amount of flora and their magical energy was dense, the detector seemed to get muzzled around that area. Or so the Association thought...

At present, it was the sixth day since the gate appeared. There were only three S ranks available in the country including Fubuki. But the problem was, that the other two 'S' ranks were severely injured in a recent red gate.

Because of that Association had to ask the only 'S' rank available in the country.

(A/N: Sasha left a detailed 'sayonara' note before coming to the school that's why everyone knew she was out of reach.)

Fubuki also agreed instantly. She became a hunter to protect people and this feeling was still alive in her soul. She just couldn't see people dying when she have the power to help them. And leaving an 'A' rank gate to get bypassed from the other side, would be disastrous.

Due to the favorable amount of 'S' banks in the nation, the association always commissioned two S ranks for an 'A' rank gate regardless of its magical energy. But they didn't have an option in this one.

Even the magic energy of this A rank gate was much higher than an average A rank and almost nearing 'S' rank, they couldn't help it.

They could only ask help from small guilds to supply their best A rank hunters to accompany Fubuki and wish her luck.

Fubuki was still up for it even she knew that coming back alive was still uncertain. She knew she was doing something irresponsibly, but her principles weren't allowing her to think about herself first.

Only one thing she did was not in her plan.

In the evening just some hours ago from leaving for the dungeon, she texted Subaru and asked for help.

She knew he won't be able to come here so suddenly and what she did only would make him worried but the love she carried for him made her send that message.

Sitting inside the meeting room she was going through the briefing about the hunters she would be working with.

She would be the captain without a doubt so she had to know her teammate's merits.

In the room, Shigeo was also present alongside several other higher-ups.

It was nearly 8 when she saw the message she sent to Subaru being read. She clutched the phone and got a little disappointed on not receiving even a single message in reply.

After sighing, she continued focusing on the briefing.

Shigeo's POV:

"These will be the tanks in team A.." The briefing continued as my secretary told Ms. Fubuki about the assigned raid team for the unexpected gate that occurred in the Kyoto region.

It was unfortunate on our part that even having 13, S ranks in our country we have to rely on an ex hunter. But we couldn't let people suffer just because of our prior negligence. Our technical department, as well as the development department, were already working on the solution for the limits of the detectors.

I was glancing sometimes at Ms. Fubuki as despite being a mother, she didn't lose her charm. She still looked attractive as a woman in her prime.

'Sigh..' Sighing I shook my head and threw all the unnecessary thoughts out of my mind. Angering her would be the last thing I would like right now.

The meeting was about to conclude, with Ms. Fubuki leaving for Kyoto when suddenly someone appeared in front of the projector screen. Since the blinding light of the projector was covering the person's face, it was hard to recognize him.

Everyone stood up immediately including me with their guards up as how much the person tried to suppress his mana, his magical power was overflowing out of him.

The person walked only two steps to reveal his face.

My breath was choked in my throat as I saw who the intruder was.

Those who didn't know him suddenly threw started chanting their magic.

I was so terrified to see him that my yell at them never came out and before I could run up to him, a magic arrow was shot at him.

I knew the person who shot it was a B rank and currently working as the field adviser, so the arrow wasn't something to ignore even he was on the caliber of being the next S rank

I was expecting at least for him to attack back or even dodge it but he did nothing of them. He just stood there and before the arrow could reach his left eye, the arrow disappeared in thin air, like it never was being shot in the first place.

He glanced only once toward the staff who were standing side by side while still chanting their spell. Suddenly everyone except me and Ms. Fubuki was kneeling on the floor with their mana disappearing and blood coughing out from their mouth.

I gulped hard when I realized the undeniable fact...

'He has gotten stronger.'
