[CHAPTER] 09 MEMORIES

"Yeah, Thank-you son for taking care of my daughter. I am really thankful to you." Mrs.Vincent said while wiping her tears. "No need Aunty. Where is her bedroom??" I said to her and she told one of the servants to show me the way to her bedroom. Her room was on the second floor. It took us five minutes to reach there. The servant opens the door and I just told him to leave and he went back. Slowly, I stepped inside her room, firstly I hesitated a bit because it's inappropriate for me but soon I shook my head and stepped forward. When I completely enter in her room, my eyes roamed around to take a full view of her room and it was just like I expected from her. Simple but classy, I put her on the queen sized bed and put the comforter on her. She was like a sleeping beauty. I just looked at her for few minutes and turned around to leave but then something caught my attention. There were so many photos hanging on the wall like a collage, I stepped towards the wall and saw our childhood pictures, our parents pictures, pictures of hers on her every birthday which I missed since when I left for boarding school. She was looking amazingly adorable, elegant and beautiful. By looking those pictures I feel like I lived those moments now. I glanced at her and left the room. I bid my goodbyes to Uncle Rayn and Aunt Rose and left.

I woke up when I heard a knock on my door. I opened my eyes and sat up properly. It takes me few minutes to realize that I was in my own room but 'Didn't I was with Nate?? Then how did I come here?? Did I fall asleep in the car??' I was so lost in my thought that I didn't notice when my mom and dad come in and sit next to me. When dad placed his hand on my shoulder I came back to reality. They told me how I came here and told me to thank Nate for taking care of me. My inner voice said 'My parents are so naïve that they believe him. Dad, Mom, if you both know that the actual reason behind this was him, you never told me to thank him.' Unfortunately I can't say my thoughts aloud so I just gave them a sweet smile. After a family hug, we went downstairs for having dinner. I don't have much appetite so I just ate a little and then went to my room. I sat on my bed and start recalling what had happened today. It was indeed a long and rough day but quite shocking also. I didn't expect him to be this much caring and gentle towards me. Then I just gave up on thinking and lay down to have some more sleep after all I have to attend the school tomorrow. Soon I fell asleep.
