First unexpected meet

"Mr Dumas, we apologise for not giving you the gem we planned to. We hope that we don't disappoint you with the new girl we signed for your project," Mr Yang apologised to Augustus. He was being regretful for not providing his company's best model to him.

Guilt was easily recognizable on his face with an odd mixture of disappointment. Yes, and why won't Mr Yang would be seen disappointed?

The girl he treated as his daughter for many years since she joined the company has betrayed him for some boy and gave up on her dreams.

She even invited him to her wedding by Mr Yang didn't show any interest in it. He was disappointed in her stupid decision of her life.

Deep inside he hoped the wedding to get cancelled and Adeline to come back to him but she was late. He had to make some other girl to sign the contract unwillingly, instead of Adeline.

"No regrets, Mr Yang" Augustus smiled reassuringly. "The models you have been providing for us lately helped our business grow double than what it was three years ago. But yeah, today I myself came to get the contract signed for the first time at your place. I hoped to meet your talented and best model of whom you appreciate every day to my father."

Augustus laughed with his last sentence. Mr Yang always praised some girl who came from the countryside and who is said to be a talented model and pride of the nation but she didn't show up herself on such a big day of her life, it was amusing for him.

Augustus is been so busy with his work life and managing his dating scandals to be kept private that he never got to see who is the fashion diva and pride of their nation winning miss universe last year.

He hoped to meet her today, but she didn't come due to some personal reasons. Of course, Mr Yang was ashamed to tell him about what his model has done.

"I'm sorry, Mr Dumas" Mr Yang bent before him as he apologised before walking with him downstairs to escort him to his car with respect.

Adeline was in hurry, all her way praying that the contract must have not been signed by someone else before her. She hastily stepped out of the car before her driver could open the door for her.

She looked up at her management company. "Nothing has ruined yet," she said to herself.

Picking up her flared heavy gown a little, she managed to run inside her management company in her high heels and meet her CEO as soon as she can.

"Mr Yang!" one of the employees quickly ran towards him when he walked out of the elevator with Augustus. "Can you please take a look at this?"

The employee showed him something in the tablet that made Mr Yang ask for Augustus to give him five minutes.

Augustus nodded to him and continued to walk to go to his car and attend the next meeting he has in his schedule.

Meanwhile, everyone was stunned to see their diva running in a wedding gown into the company and making her way towards the elevator.

Augustus could see a girl in a wedding dress running in his direction. He was quite puzzled by the lady who was running in his direction.

"Why is she running towards us?" Augustus quizzically asked his personal secretary.

"I don't know, Mr Dumas," Sejin answered.

When Adeline glanced at him and looked in his eyes, he felt a strange feeling. "Is she someone I dated?" he was puzzled. "Why is she in a wedding dress and running in my direction?" he mumbled looking at her with his narrow eyes.

His hands were shoved into the pockets of his long black jacket that covered a black turtle neck t-shirt tucked into black trousers with a black loafer on his feet.

Adeline got a boy walking in her way too but she ignored him. She didn't even look up at his face intentionally but to see a tall figure coming to her direction. However, she tried to run passing by him but, as it wasn't her good luck day already, her long heels broke just when she came by his side.

Adeline tried to balance herself catching Augustus for support but instead stumbled upon him. Augustus quickly caught her in his arms before she could abruptly fall on the cold floor with a loud thud and lots of laughter over her.

Adeline doesn't know why but her heart skipped when the gentleman saved her from falling. It was just like a dramatic scene between two strangers meeting for the first time. She looked tiny into the arms of the tall figure.

In his arms, Adeline felt like time has suddenly slowed down. She unexpectedly got a chance to take a good look at him. She couldn't help but notice his fitted t-shirt around his chest that complimented the masculine figure underneath.

Soon her eyes met his and as soon as they met, Adeline just gaped. Her heartbeat increased. His chiselled face and sexy lips were enough to drive any woman crazy.

His shiny black hairs combed backwards made him look more sexier and attractive. He looked as if God made him himself with his hands with a lot of patience, love and care.

Adeline was sure that she has never ever seen such a handsome man in her life. Even Jack was not as good looking as this man is.

Agustus has a strong, defined and masculine jawline with perfect pair of sharp eyes that only kept staring at her. But if she was wrong to realise it, he was glaring at her.

Adeline was making him late for his next meeting and he never likes to be late.

Adeline still didn't get about his glares, she didn't urge herself to stand in her place but keep looking at him and stay longer in his comfortable arms. She was impressed with his beauty and appearance which made her almost forget she was dumped a few minutes ago and that she has to get her contract signed.

"How can you look so stunning handsome?" she mumbled in a low voice that was only audible to Augustus.

He chuckled proudly to listen to that compliment he has no time for thanking.

Finally shifting his gaze from Adeline, he looked around to see a crowd surrounding them with taking their tons of pictures. Augustus quickly made the lady stand back in her place and cleared his throat looking away from her.

"Adeline!" Mr Yang called out her name from behind.

He looked glad to see her back but that look didn't last for any longer. His eyebrows met together in nervousness when he glanced down at his mobile phone.

"Mr Yang!" Adeline was glad to see him too. She was finally dragged out from the handsome face distraction and quickly took off her broken sandals to walk near him. She came to her senses of why she came here that she didn't put any other glance back to Augustus.

"We must leave," Secretary of Augustus said him, dragging him away from the crowd that was taking his pictures with the girl.

His Secretary reassured him on his way that he will take care of the pictures taken of him with the girl and won't let any rumours to pass out.

"Mr Yang! I'm sorry, please let me sign the contract." She requested him instantly after stepping closer to her CEO.

Mr Yang sighed, "Let's get into my cabin and talk about this."

Mr Yang nodded to his secretary before walking away with Adeline from the crowd while Secretary of Mr Yang asked for everyone to delete their pictures.

He said them if any of the pictures get out from there then they will not be left with any other job to do as Mr Dumas doesn't like anyone invading his private life.

"Punishments can get even worst," he added before walking away while everyone quickly started to delete the pictures.

"Mr Yang, is something wrong? It's okay if this contract is already signed, I will be okay with other works and overcome this loss."

Adeline was still not getting anything. She took it lightly to lose such a huge opportunity of her career that closed all the other doors for her career to stop right there.

The rumours passed out everywhere around the nation like a plague about Adeline and her dating scandals. The rumours included about her luring men and spending nights with them to reach at this height of her career.

Jack belonged to a well-known respected family, rumours of Adeline with him helped put more oil into the fire.

Adeline was also unknown with many haters and enemies surrounding her this many years and naming it as a friendship, they all had two faces.

They couldn't see Adeline getting success over success every day that they all held grudge against her to someday get a chance and ruin everything that she has gained.

"Adeline," Mr Yang finally gained some courage to show his beloved girl about what has happened she isn't aware of. "You must take a look at this."

Taking the tablet in her hands that Mr Yang gave her, Adeline's heart crumbled. She read all those heart-clenching articles and news that has been shown right now on every news channel around the nation.

The girl of whom everyone was proud of is actually a shame for her nation. She must be boycotted from the respectful fashion industry whose name gets abused due to such people like her. She is not a diva but a whore and Carters did it right to not let their son get trapped in her magic.

The floor underneath her foot slipped reading the headlines. She finally realised that she lost it all in a single day. Her nightmares were turned into the reality of which she was scared a lot.

Meanwhile, Augustus took a ride in his car heading towards his company, he listened to the news and read the articles going viral around the internet including the pictures of Adeline running in her bridal dress.

"Secretary Han, I want to know more about this girl. She is interesting," Augustus said to Sejin, his only friend and personal Secretary.

"Actually I was thinking the same as you," Sejin looked behind at Augustus from the rear mirror. "She seems to be perfect for the girl that you need. It's just that we need to do more research about the rumours and her past."

"That is why I said she is interesting. Once I catch her weakness and she will be mine." Augustus said smugly, glancing out at of the window and looking at the large advertisement banners of Adeline that he had never seen before carefully.
