Chapter 37: Wearing The Same Outfit
Charlotte Cooper felt that Henry Russell was rather odd today, but she couldn't quite pinpoint why.
Henry Russell cared for her, but rarely took interest in her friendships or work. He rarely inquired, knowing that she didn't like it. But today, he spoke quite a bit more.
"I have no ulterior motive, it's just that things are messy in our circle right now. I don't want you to have an unstable agent," Henry Russell said calmly.
Charlotte knew the importance of an agent, nodded, and didn't argue.
After lunch, Charlotte kept Henry Russell company during his afternoon nap, then went home.
In the afternoon, she received an invitation to a charity banquet held by A Magazine. A Magazine claimed to be the pioneer of the fashion world, and the banquet it hosted was full of celebrities. The auction that night was particularly noteworthy.
After reading it, Charlotte put it casually on her dressing table.
