"Hey," Finally after he was able to leave the hospital, Tian Zi went straight to his mansion which was currently occupied by his runaway friend, Jonathan, and his now unsurprisingly girlfriend, Remi Long. Of course, Tian Zi was a little surprised at first but knowing that Jonathan had always been easy to fall in love with, he recovered almost immediately when he discovered. He was just wondering how much will it lasts this time around.

"Hey, my friend, sorry to have you help me again like this," Jonathan welcomed, extending his hand to Tian Zi who just arrived. Tian Zi extended his hand as well to accept Jonathan's as their shoulders briefly touched as they greeted while patting each other's backs.

"If you're really sorry then stop running away from your responsibilities and give me some peace of mind," Tian Zi countered. This friend of his had been causing him trouble since they were 10. At first, he didn't even want to be friends with him but their circumstances just forced them to be one. Also given the fact that Jonathan had always been such a clingy person, he could never push him away no matter how much he tried and so in the end, they became what people called friends.

"I truly am sorry, Zi. But what can I do when my family's forcing me to take over the household when I have no desire to. I'm also the third child but why are we so different?" Jonathan complained, pouting cutely, however, Tian Zi who is the audience, only showed a disgusted look before he dismissed Jonathan and walked towards the living room, sitting there with a huge sigh as if he was someone exhausted from work.

"So? Where's that person you want me to meet? I came here for that," Tian Zi asked monotonously because although he said that he came because Jonathan texted him about it earlier, he wasn't in the slightest bit interested. The real reason why he was here was because he just wanted to leave the hospital quickly and at the same time doesn't want to go back to the main estate.

"Ahh, he's Remi's younger brother. They're currently out somewhere, I'm sure they'll arrive soon though so just wait," Jonathan replied leisurely before he went to the end table where there was a fancy glass bottle of liquor and soon poured himself a glass and another for Tian Zi.

"Oii, aren't you supposed to protect Remi Long? And here you are carelessly drinking, just when I was finally able to use your useless ass," Tian Zi said without reservation, making Jonathan laugh heartily.

"Your words are harsh as usual Zi but even I'm upset that I wasn't able to go with Remi today, her brother just hates me," Jonathan complained, shrugging his shoulder before gulping on his liquor.

"Who would like you anyway?" Tian Zi snorted before he closed his eyes thinking of relaxing his earlier tortured mind.

"Oh but I think he hates you more. I actually thought you knew him, maybe broke his heart long ago or something?" Jonathan said not any more affected by Tian Zi's cold and harsh remarks.

"Ahh but that's impossible, even though you're as attractive as your brothers, everyone is just afraid of approaching you and if you're the one approaching, it's always your older brother Hanlu's partners. I forgot you're someone with a weird fetish," Jonathan said again, shaking his head remembering who Tian Zi was as a person. Jonathan also has an older brother but he could never bring himself to fuck the girls he fucked. The thought of it disgusts him and gives him endless goosebumps.

"Shut the fuck up man. I told you that wasn't it. I haven't slept with any of them, that was all to test them out, " Tian Zi yelled this time throwing a pillow at Jonathan who only laughed catching it.

"Still man, you have some sick hobbies,"

"Whatever! Just tell me who's Remi Long's brother?? If he hates me then why does he want to meet me?" Tian Zi said with a huge sigh, leaning back to the sofa feeling exhausted trying to explain himself again to the Alpha when he doesn't even plan to listen to him.

"He doesn't. I just thought it's fun for the two of you to meet. I heard he's pretty good with tech as well. Does the name Fyre Long ring any bells to you?? You might know him in the hacking industry if that's a thing now," Jonathan said waving his hand, causing Tian Zi to try and think but the mentioned name just doesn't ring a bell.

"Doesn't ring any bells. Also, what hacking industry? Do you think I'm going around participating in such communities?!"

"Oh right, I forgot you have another weird habit of spying on your brothers. Damn, you huge bro-con. Seriously, is that a thing in the Mo household? Your older brother seemed to be obsessed with your eldest brother too,"

"Say, it's been a while since we had sparring. 146th draws out of 146 matches, right? I'm going to break that record and beat your sorry ass," Tian Zi mentioned with a deeper tone than usual while glaring at the now smirking Jonathan.

"I should be the one saying. I'm going to beat your ass this time around and break the record with a win and then you can go back to your brothers and have them comfort your crying face, you bro-con," Jonathan chuckled at first before further provoking Tian Zi. They glared at each other for a quick second before Tian Zi finally stood and started walking somewhere to which Jonathan followed in an instant.

The first time they met, it was a small exclusive gathering hosted by the Wood household for the young Jonathan to make friends with children his age from the most influential families in the world. As a person with noble status in the modern world, it is crucial to follow these traditions to preserve the culture of Nobility. And so at such an early age, Jonathan was used to gatherings because his household held exclusive events like that since he was 6 years old.

However, usually, participants in these gatherings are also children with noble or royal status but when he turned 10 years old, Tian Zi was the only boy who had no royal or noble blood but was able to partake.

That time Jonathan was curious and his older sister especially told him to be nice to him as he was someone who will become important in the future despite not being a royalty.

Young Jonathan of course had no plans to make friends but Tian Zi was a unique boy. At first glance it looked like he was someone who would get easily bullied due to his cute and delicate appearance, it was his dark secret that he once felt for the Alpha but he quickly got his heartbroken when he realized Tian Zi was actually a wolf in a sheep's clothing. And that instead of a childhood sweetheart, he gained a bestfriend who he both hated and cherished.

"And you used to be so adorable when we were younger," Jonathan mumbled silently making it difficult for Tian Zi to understand. They just finished changing into a proper sparring attire, and now wrapping their hands with a cloth for preparation for the combat.

"What!?"

"Nothing... Anyway, do you perhaps know Veronica Chime's location? Remi's looking for her, the vile woman was supposed to visit last night but she didn't come so Remi has been worried," Jonathan chatted remembering his girlfriend saying she and her brother were going to go and visit her along the way.

"Well, she might be in that man's hands now. Older brother Hanlu wanted to put her in prison but Ethan Morris begged for her freedom in exchange for his service," Tian Zi replied and on cue finished wrapping both his arms tightly.

"And your older brother agreed? Is that man even worthy?" Jonathan said in surprise. He didn't think Mo Hanlu and Mo Laotian were such merciful individuals. Additionally, what's with Ethan Morris that the Organization would want that they're even willing to let go of such a vile woman.

"I told Older brother that I wanted the man in my team. He's very convenient in gathering information that isn't available on the internet," Tian Zi simply replied to which Jonathan quickly understood. He also very much knows that despite their seemingly competitive relationship, Mo Hanlu does dote on Tian Zi even more so than Mo Laotian.

"Anyway, stop jabbering, and let's start. I can't wait to claim my win today," Tian Zi added looking sharply at his friend with a slight tilt on his lips. Both of them joined the same elite self-defense camp so they've been in competition for almost ten years now. It was no ordinary camp as it teaches different kinds of fighting techniques ranging from firearms, boxing, kickboxing, taek won do, kung fu, ninjutsu, judo, tai chi, and many more offered in the program that it was safe to say that none of the two would be easily defeated.

"Don't cry when I beat your face out of form," Jonathan laughed before suddenly they started sparring with him doing the first move. Both of them have the same level of strength and even had almost the same techniques due to having the same master so looking at their fight, none of them seemed to be at a disadvantage yet, they're both efficiently blocking each other's move without a problem.

A quick 20 minutes had passed and both of them hadn't broken a single sweat but they stepped away from each other trying to strategize how to defeat the other. This time Tian Zi was the first one to move and as a habit, he tried to kick Jonathan aiming high however knowing that Tian Zi's kicks were ridiculously stronger than his punches, he didn't dare block it and instead quickly stepped back avoiding that killer kick.

"W-What are you two doing?" As they were about to launch at each other again, a woman's voice said from the background causing them to halt especially Jonathan who knew full well whose voice it was. Tian Zi took this opportunity and thrust forward to which Jonathan wasn't able to avoid resulting in him receiving a blow on his abdomen to which also earned a surprised yell from Remi running towards her lover.

"Ack! Seriously?" Jonathan gritted, holding on to his abdomen.

"That single distraction could have killed you in a real encounter," Tian Zi simply said, repeating what their instructor used to say making Jonathan unable to retaliate.

"I guess today's finally my first win," Tian Zi declared, making the Alpha curse. And even though his win was quite unfair, Tian Zi smiled triumphantly before gazing his eyes on Remi Long and another one smaller that was too difficult to ignore with his death glare.
