Chapter twenty-one : The Surprise

Ephreona's P.O.V.

When I turned to see what Brandon was talking about, I was taken aback. I could see from afar a city. It was beautiful.

I didn't even think zombies had seen this place. But I noticed that the city seemed to glow. The gates looked like they were made from gold.

"Hey, let's hurry up. I can't wait to see mum. She'd be very happy to see me…I miss everyone so badly." Brandon said while we were walking.

"Brandy, I can see you're very happy to get home. I wish I also had a family to go back to." Senah said. I smiled sadly at my sister.

"Hmm…Is my new nickname Brandy? Well, I love it. I'll take it as a gift from you, Senny." Brandon teased and the two kept running around in circles.

Senah and Brandon had gone in front and were playing around. When Xavier noticed that we were alone, he increased his pace.

I didn't know what I had ever done to him. I estimated about twenty more minutes before we got to our destination.

And surely after about twenty minutes, we got to the entrance of the town or city. I didn't know what to call it. I was sure Xavier and Brandon were proud of their hometown.

When I turned to look at both of them, I noticed something different. It wasn't about their handsome features but they were glowing. I wasn't sure if Senah noticed it.

Xavier in particular looked like he was working out some magic in his head. He opened his mouth a bit to whisper a few words to the wind but I couldn't make out what he was saying.

Within two to five minutes, the gates were opened and a guard looked at me and then over to Senah but when his eyes landed on Xavier and Brandon, he seemed excited.

I thought maybe he recognized them because they were inhabitants until I heard the guard's shout and the whole world stopped before my eyes.

"Hey! Everyone, the crowned prince and his younger brother have arrived!"
