Lauren: Find Survivors

"I told you it was a stupid idea to take the car." I turn off onto yet another side street. We've moved at a crawl; every time we make progress, a road is blocked by bodies or debris. Some buildings have crumpled, probably attacked by monsters. Most are still standing. But several cars, corpses, and the occasional monster carcass litter the roads.

"What, you think it's smarter to walk through that?" Randall grimaces. "Don't be an idiot."

"We'd be farther if we walked. We keep backtracking. The roads aren't clear, Randall. And we're making too much noise. Something's going to come looking for us."

"Nothing has yet," Marissa points out in a small voice. She and Marian have been huddled in the backseat together.

"Besides, we won't be able to carry everything with us if we walk," Randall reasons.
