Chapter Two: First day in human school
A large area of land is occupied by huge buildings. It has beautiful gardens, water fountains, gazebos, outer swimming pools, a huge track field, a basketball and tennis court and a stadium for concerts and school events. Each area is adorned with beautifully dressed flower beds and pots. There are four huge buildings used as hostels for the students who wiahed to stay at school. There's an area that has an amusement park and a shopping mall that has arcades, a cinema and fun places for kids. A statue of a man is placed at the center of school. There are street lights and trash cans placed at different locations of the compound with benches. At another side, there is a vast area of trees and a river with a bridge over it leading to a lane. A beach is also located there and at another side a harbour is placed in the sea with a dock, a liner and a cruiser at bay. At the parking lot, a lot of coaches are parked beside each other. There's a very tight security and cctv cameras placed at different places in the compound. This area of land happens to be Blackwood academy- the most prestigious school in the country. Most students here are from very important families and the school is feared all over the country for it's strict measures and crazy teachers who are obsessed perfectionists.
It's the first day of a new school year and the students are seen walking toward the main building. They are being checked and clarified at the security post before they enter the main school premises.
Inside the school building on the fourth floor corridor, a bunch of students are hanging around the corridor talking to each other while some are standing in front of their calsssroom doors and othes are looking out from to window to see what's going on.
Two girls walk into the corridor and then walk towards the other students. A group of boys standing beside the first classroom in the corridor sees the girls walk pass them and then they raise an alarm to know who the girls were especially the girl behind. The other students notice the alarm and set their gaze on both girls. They start to whisper and some make comments.
"She's so hot".
"Her uniform brings out her body shape perfectly".
"I definitely want to do her".
"Who's the ugly duckling standing in front of her?".
"With her here i doubt we are going to get any hot guy for a boyfriend".
"Why is she so damn hot?".
The students weren't lying, the girl behind was the perfect definition of the word beautiful. She had long dirty blonde hair almost reaching her hips , her eyes are bright, bold and have hazel for their color. Her lips were as rosy pink as her cheeks and her symmetrical face pulled everything together. She is wearing a white blouse covered by a navy blue blazer which brings out her upper features and a khaki high waist lace up pleated skirt which brings out her curvy figure. She's also wearing a navy blue tie with polka dots, black knee high socks and white sneakers.
The other girl has dark blonde shoulder hair with marine green eyes. She's wearing the exact same uniform as the girl behind.
"What are they so worked up about?", the girl behind asked wondering why everyone's eyes were on her as she walked down the corridor.
"Well what else would it be if it's not your beauty", the girl in front replied.
"Humans, so typical of them. They act like they have never seen someone as beautiful as i am".
"Yes they act that way because they haven't".
"Meaning?"
"In case you forgot you are a demon and demons have stunning appearances so that means they haven't seen anyone as beautiful as you".
"I know but why the hype about my apppearance?".
"Really?".
"It's not like am that pretty".
"Nikki you are so pretty that two princes from the upper chamber fought because of you".
"Yeah i still can't believe they did that. You know what Amber? I love it when you compliment me", she said with a smile.
"You tricked me into saying all that?".
"I did no such thing".
"You're so lucky that i love you".
"I know but honestly can't i just meet one guy who isn't crazy about my appearance", she said with a sigh.
"Wow do you know how many people would kill for the attention you have", Amber asked wondering what was going on in Nikki's head.
"I'm not people Amber".
"Anyways i can't believe these humans called me an ugly duckling. I'm number five on the list of the prettiest girls in the middle chamber. How dare they belittle my beauty?", she asked furious at the students comments.
"Don't fuss about it Amber".
"You have no idea how it feels".
"Let's go number five", Nikki said with a mocking smile.
"Nikki I'm so going to kill you", Amber said as Nikki walks pass her and she trails behind Nikki complaining.
At the cafeteria
12:00pm
It's lunchtime and everyone is seated at their different tables. Some in twos, threes and even more. Alan walks towards the serving table and picks up a tray. He then walks towards the lunch lady and smiles at her.
"Can i have a chocolate pudding?"
He looks at the lunch lady and is confused. How did she know i was going to ask for that?", he thought.
"There's only one left", the lunch lady replied.
"Did mom send someone to tail me again?". It wouldn't be the first time she's done that. He remembers that on his first day of middle school, she made more than twenty superheroes act like the employees of the school. His mom is overprotective and sometimes she could overdo it.
"He looks confused so why don't you give it to me", Nikki said and that was enough to bring Alan back from his thoughts.
He turns around towards her and folds his arms.
"What do we have here?", he asked facing her.
She is about to reply but when she sees his face, she's at loss for words.
"Why is he so cute?", she thought as she stares at him. He was by far the most good looking boy she had ever met and honestly she had met her fair share of good looking boys in her lifetime. His jet black hair was done in messy curls which matched his lunar shaped ice blue eyes which felt like a gateway to his soul. He had a dashing gym honed physique. He had a dashing personality and a cosmic smile. His glasses made him even look cuter. She had never met anyone like him who took her breath away.
"Are you done gawking?", he asked with a wicked grin on his face. She immediately fell out of her trance. She was so distracted by him that she didn't realize she was staring for too long.
"I wasn't gawking", she said with her cheeks reddened.
"Of course you weren't", he said with a cute smile.
"I'd like to get my pudding now", she said staring at the lunch lady.
"I said there's only one left", the lunch lady said expecting the both of them to leave do she could continue watching her k-drama series.
"Well that means I get to take it", Nikki said.
"Not so fast shortie. I came here first", he said.
"Who you calling shortie?"
"You", he replied with an annoyingbdd as smile.
"Can you two just settle this somewhere else?", the lunch lady asked.
"I came here first", Nikki said totally ignoring the lunch lady.
"Who came here first?", Alan asked the lunch lady as both of them looked at her like expectant puppies hoping for her to choose them.
"The boy came first", the lunch lady replied.
"Do you have anything you want to say?", he asked.
"Just take it and get away from here", the lunch lady replied.
"Actually I don't want it anymore so you can give it to her".
"I don't need your sympathy".
"Trust me when I say I'm in no way trying to show you sympathy. I just feel like I could get a better one on my way home so why argue with a shortie for a worthless cup of chocolate pudding. Think of it as my way of saying welcome to high school", he said as he walks away leaving Nikki stunned.
"Who the hell does he think he is?", she thought as Amber walks towards her.
"Hey Nikki what's going on? Why are you taking so long to get just one pudding?"
"Sorry I had to use the rest room", Nikki replied as she grabs the pudding and smiles at Amber.
"Let's go lunch will soon be over".
"Sure", Nikki said.
"Why do I feel that I have met him before and why do I feel upset that he didn't treat me the way the other humans did? I must find out who he is", Nikki thought as she walks away with Amber.
