chapter 43: the Devilio team's combat

THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW

"At last, we finally arrived here in New York City." Matthew said as his family looked around.

"Alright everyone, let's stick to the plan." Maria said as she looked at them.

"Yes, Mom." Reina said as she and Matthew nodded then Maria evilly smirked.

Timeskip as the McAdams and the Vespaire family arrived at the restaurant. All of them had an amazing conversation towards each other as Heather forgets that she will lose her memories in the next hour. Meanwhile, Juliet began to worry in the parallel universe on why Heather isn't on position right now before she loses her memories. Based on what Juliet saw through Heather's vision, she noticed Romeo, the man who he used to love and that she wanted to head back to the real world for the last time. But she saved her last portal in case it is needed later.

Lauren and Travis, on the other hand, looked everywhere for Jonathan since his plan all along is to destroy Heather's gadget to communicate with Juliet. Speaking of Jonathan, he stalked the Vespaire and the McAdams families outside the restaurant. Jonathan had no choice but to call Heather.

"Hey Jon, what's up?" Heather asked as she smiled and answered the phone.

"Hi Heather, are you at New York City right now?" Jonathan pretended to ask.

"Y-Yes, why?" She asked as she frowned and the rest of their families continued talking to each other then Rafael looked over her.

"Oh, that's why I saw a familiar face inside the restaurant called 'The Modern'." He replied as he chuckled then she gasped as she looked outside.

Jonathan waved at her as he smiled then Heather squealed in excitement.

"Do you mind if we talk for a bit outside?" Jonathan asked as Heather and Rafael looked at each other.

"S-Sure! Rafael is in here too, by the way." Heather replied then Jonathan rolled his eyes.

"Th-That's great, come on I'll be waiting for you outside." He nervously said then she nodded and he ended the call.

"Was that Jonathan?" Rafael asked as Heather grabbed her things.

"Yes, it was. Oh, and he told me that we have something to talk for a bit outside, I'll be quick." Heather replied as Rafael and their families looked at her.

"Keep safe outside, darling!" Mrs. Vespaire said then Heather nodded and left.

"Wait, what time is it right now?" Romeo asked then the others looked at their watches.

"It's already 7:30, Sir." Mr. Vespaire replied as Rafael started feeling panicking.

"Heather. Her memories." Rafael panickedly said as he stood up then he left.

As Heather walked outside, her phone rang then she immediately answered the call.

"Hey Juliet-" Heather said then Juliet cutted her off.

"Heather Vespaire, I hope you didn't forget that you will lose your memories in the next 40 minutes." Juliet panickedly said as Heather gasped.

"Oh no no, I forgot I-" Heather panickedly said then Jonathan cutted her off as she arrived to where Jonathan waited.

"Heather Vespaire!" Jonathan said.

"I-I'll call you back, M-Ma'am." Heather panickedly said then she ended the call as Juliet sighed.

"A-Are you okay?" Jonathan asked as he looked at Heather and they started walking on the streets.

"Of course, I-I'm just panicking because since I'll be losing my-" She replied then he cutted her off.

"About that, there is actually one solution on how we can fix that." He said as she looked back at him.

Meanwhile, Rafael followed them as he brings out both of his hands then he accidentally touched his Devilio ring. From that moment, he remembered that he should've destroyed it back on the plane. He could've do it now but he is out in public.

"This is your last chance to be part of us once again, Rafael McAdams. Transform as Saville and the battle we planned for won't happen or else something bad will happen to the person you love the most." Maria said as Rafael's surroundings stopped and turned into black.

"How many times I will tell you that I am done with your threats, Maria? And if you dare to do anything, I will arrest you and the rest of the Devilio team just like what happened in your first ever battle with my Grandpa and the Magicia team back then." Rafael said in anger.

"And what proof do you have, Rafael McAdams? None. So, I suggest you to decide this instant or-" Matthew said then Rafael cutted him off.

"Let me guess, you're Maria's son, Matthew Greene. Look Sir, the moment I said I am done with all these evil doings, I meant it and I won't take it back." Rafael said as he started raising his voice.

"Fine, we won't force you then. See you on the Pisces St., McAdams." Maria said then she evilly laughed and the ring sparked as Rafael quickly removed his fingers from it.

Meanwhile with Jonathan and Heather

"I-I am sorry but to be honest Jonathan, that isn't a best solution for this matter." Heather said as Jonathan crossed his arms, glaring at her.

"Look Heather, I know you don't want to lose your memories at this time. If the gadget you used to communicate with Juliet Fitzroy will break the connection between you two, it will avoid you from losing your memories since basically you are her second life." Jonathan said as they looked at each other then Heather stood up infront of him.

"I still don't why you figured out about me being Juliet Fitzroy's second life but I'm telling you that it is either the wrong thing to do or if we would actually do it, it won't work at all." She said as she glared back at him.

"I don't have time to explain how I figured it out but if you please just give me the gadget you used-" He said as he sighed then Rafael cutted him off.

"Heather, Jonathan. You two need to get off this street right this instant." Rafael said as he ran towards them.

"Rafael, what—I mean, wh-why?" Heather asked in confusion as Jonathan stood next to Heather and he crossed his arms.

"Yeah Rafael, why?" Jonathan asked as he glared at him.

"I'll explain back in a safe place we can stay, just please do what I ask you to!" Rafael panickedly said then he grabbed Heather's hand and Jonathan followed them.

They started running away as fast as they could. There was a struck of lightning behind them as they shouted in fear. A dark cloud appeared from above with the Greene family on top with it, bringing their weapons. As Heather, Rafael and Jonathan passed through a huge bush, Rena peaked them and she looked above. Maria did her evil laugh as Matthew transformed himself into Juliet.

"Heather! Heather, help me!" 'Juliet' shouted as Heather, Rafael and Jonathan faced behind and looked up.

"Juliet Fitzroy." Rafael and Jonathan mumbled.

"Th-That can't be-" Heather panickedly said then Maria cutted her off.

"Heather Vespaire, it's good to see you for the first time in this real world." Maria said as she evilly smirked and she went closer to Heather.

"Get away from me." Heather said in anger as Rafael and Jonathan looked for a hiding place to transform.

"What if I won't?" Maria asked as she evilly grin then she used her Devilio Magic to handcuff her around her wrists.

Reina uses her magic to start the Devilio wind smoke as Heather started panicking and she moved closer to Maria. Rafael and Jonathan, in the other hand, went to the same hiding spot for them to transform.

"What are you doing here?" Jonathan asked in anger.

"H-Hiding?" Rafael nervously said then Jonathan glared at him.

As Jonathan was supposed to speak, someone grabbed Rafael then Jonathan sighed in relief.

"By the power of Magicia, I ask to transform me as Zane." Jonathan said then he transformed.

Jonathan grabbed his Magicia mirror from his pocket as he coughed because of the wind smoke then he called Lauren.

"Grandma, Grandpa, I need you two to use your Magicia powers, the Devilio team suddenly showed up and they are planning on doing something to Heather. We are at the Pisces St., please hurry." Zane said as Lauren answered the call.

"Copy that, Zane. Please be careful." Lauren said as Travis nodded.

"You and Grandpa as well." Zane said then he ended the call.

Meanwhile with Rafael

"Hey, if you are trying to kidnap me, now is not the best time." Rafael said as he arrived to another hiding spot.

"I am not kidnapping you but I need you to give me the Magicia bracelet this instant." Rena said as she wore a helmet.

"How do you know about it?" Rafael asked.

"Just give it to me already because we have some saving to do with your girlfriend." Rena replied then Rafael sighed and removed it.

"Now, transform right now with the Devilio one." Rena continued then Rafael sighed.

"By the power in me, I demand to transform me into Saville, the Devilio Magic's holder." Avior recited the spell as a black smoke surrounded him.

Back with Heather and the Greene family as Jonathan and Rafael transformed

"That Juliet Fitzroy you have is an illusion!" Heather said in anger as she looked at Maria and Heather slowly fly towards them.

"And how would you know, Heather Vespaire?" Maria asked as she glared at her.

"Heather!" 'Juliet' yelled again as Heather worriedly looked at her.

"What do you want from me, Maria?" Heather asked in anger.

"I know you are the holder of the Magicias and that you are Gemini, one of the Magicia users. I want your precious Magicia jewelry and we will get this over with." Maria replied as she reached out for the earrings.

"So, I'm guessing you are both evil and a dumbass villain at the same time." Heather said as she scoffed and Heather moved her head.

"You're such an asshole just like Saville." Maria scolded.

"Please, don't compare me to your little pet." Heather said as she started raising her voice and Maria puts her hand down.

"What if I tell you that the little pet of mine is your loved one?" Maria asked as she evilly smirked.

"Like I would believe a villain like you." Heather replied then she kicked Maria's chest and Maria groaned in pain.

"Reina, do your thing." Maria said as she evilly smirked then Reina nodded.
