Nina was surprised by James' sudden action towards her. She didn't expect that he would ask her that question. She understood her feelings. She was very unfair to him from the start.

James looked at Nina with love and desire. He had been controlling himself for four years and didn't demand anything from Nina. He had all the right to take her, and she had an obligation to him. But he respected her and never slept with her.
