5 Flashback IV

"No need, I choose her to be my wife." Jayden rose from his throne, his words made the Queen dumbfounded.

"JAYDEN?!" yelled the Queen, her face still trying to remain calm, even though her emotions were running high.

"What?? Don't I have the right to choose who will be my wife?" Jayden felt nothing wrong with his words. The girl was one of the candidates, so Jayden could choose her.

"But she must meet the criteria. She only won a singing competition." Queen Dyna rose from her seat.

"Aren't these ten women the SELECTED candidates? So? She is more than worthy to be my future queen." Jayden asked Dyna back.

"Jay, she is not a smart and talented woman," argued Dyna, "You must marry a smart woman to bear a smart offspring to be the heir of a king!!"

"Wasn't she nominated? Her name in the list. Does Her Majesty the Queen mother question the correctness of the system of her own country?" Jay smiled wide, he always counter-attacked the queen's argument.

"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen. Mom and son talk!!" Dyna lightly grabbed Jayden's arm and pulled him into a deep conversation behind her throne, so no one could hear them talk.

"JAY!! She will be your wife! Crown Princess! Future Queen-to-be!" Dyna heat up and whispered loudly in Jayden's ear. Trying to make her son understand, that this was not a game.

"I love her, and I will marry her no matter what. Relax, Mom. I will educate her myself as my future Queen." Jayden looked at Dyna with sparkling eyes.

"Don't look at me with your puppy eyes! It won't work." Dyna folded her arms.

"Oh really?" Jay looked at his mother's eyes again, more spoiled.

"JAY!!! PLEASE BE SERIOUS MY PRINCE!!" Dyna screamed.

"Come on, Mom. Jay loves her as much as Dad loves you. And Jayden wants to marry the one I love." Jayden stroked his mommy's hand to persuaded her.

"How could you said you love her?? You've never even met her before?"

"Love at the first sight, maybe..." Jay replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"With that photo? Seriously, Jay?" Dyna pointed at the girl's photo in astonishment.

"Yeah." Jayden nodded, looking at the photo with his blushing face.

"Oh God, what kind of joke is this again?" Dyna rubbed her forehead in annoyance.

"Come on, Mom! Let me marry her. They're waiting for our answer." Jayden persuaded.

"Fine, it's up to you, but there are conditions." Dyna held her breath up and down. She always lost her resolve when facing the wishes of her only son.

"What?"

"If in one year she can't meet the criteria as a Crown Princess, you must divorce with her." Dyna gripped her fingers tightly, trying to weigh whether her decision was right. But, her love as a mother pushed her to break through between right and wrong.

"And you are forbidden to have a baby first!" she whispered.

"You don't want grandchild, Mom?" whispered Jayden back.

"JAYDEN LENNART!!"

"Don't be mad, Mom, remember you'll get more wrinkles later." sneered Jayden.

"Oh, My God. Help me." Dyna stroked her chest and took a deep breath before sitting back on her throne.

Jayden took a deep breath and then spoke out loud, "I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication in this election, My Lord and Lady."

"By the law regarding the selection of the Crown Princess. I, Jayden Lennart, the second of his name, the Great Sun's Son, choose Renny Asteria as the Crown Princess of the Kingdom of Wei." Jayden smiled as he concluded his decision.

"Long Live the Crown Pince Jayden and the future Crown Princess. May God bless your family dan your reign." Jayden's decision was greeted with applause and cheers from across the Royal family and administration staff. They didn't know whose fault it was that Renny Asteria's name was included in the list of the best candidates. But, one thing was certain, they were happy because they were free from the terrible punishment from the Queen.

Crown Princess Resident, Gold Jade Palace.

Jayden threw off his coat and threw himself onto the velvet couch. His plan to marry the girl he loves succeeded. He smiled triumphantly. In front of him, there were so many photos of Renny Asteria pasted on the wall of his secret room. From childhood until now, Jayden watched from distance the progress when the girl bloomed into a woman. Jay was indeed obsessed with Renny. He was crazy about her. Jayden felt that he must have his lover even though he had to sacrifice everything for it.

Knock... Knock... [Door knock sound.]

"Your Highness." Kai's voice came from outside.

"What's wrong, Kai? Come in!"

"What should I do with that man?" Kai awaited instructions from his Prince regarding the fate of the hacker who helped Jayden sabotage the Crown Princess election.

"Just let him live, give him a new name and identity." Jay turned to Kai, His way to said thanks.

"As You wish, My Prince."

"Wait, Kai!! But make sure you cut off all his fingers so he can't commit any more crimes." Jayden added more.

"Yes, Your Majesty, I'll take my leave first." Kai left.

"Thanks, Kai."

Jayden got up and stretched his arms. Standing near Renny's photos, looking at them with eyes full of longing.

"Wait for me, My Girl." Jayden smiled meaningfully.
