"Let's not talk about it anymore." I shook my shoulders to hide my emotions. "Look, after we separated, we both became better people. That's good."

I stopped only thinking about love. He learned to love someone.

I guess so. After all, we fell in love too young and never met the better lover.

On the way back to the hospital, Jeremy did not speak again.

He had rushed over in such a hurry that he couldn't hide his exhaustion. I couldn't help but say directly. "Go home. You don't have to keep me company."

He leaned against the wall and looked down at me. "You haven't slept all night too, have you?"

We were going against each other again.

Nancy eyed Jeremy quietly and tugged at my sleeve. "Heather, I'll stay and watch over your dad tonight. Take your boyfriend home to take a rest."

I explained helplessly. "He is not my boyfriend."

"Oh." Nancy continued in a low voice, "He came all the way here. Whether he is your boyfriend or not, don't be rude."
