I knew that he was trying to provoke me, so I wasn't going to be provoked.

The two of us were in a silent deadlock.

Behind us, Adam and Thea were whispering to each other with their heads put together.

"I don't know if you feel it or not, but I have a feeling," said Adam.

"Me too, but you first," said Thea.

Adam thought for a moment and said slowly, "I feel like I'm like an agent."

"Oh man, we're in the same boat," Thea patted him on the shoulder and said, "Yes, we're both agents for their love."

I was speechless.

They were so humorous that I felt like a clown.

I glared at Jeremy and shoved the plate of cookies into his arms. "Take one for yourself if you wanted one so bad."

"Let's make a deal." Thea poked her head in between me and Jeremy. "Adam and I won't try to separate you. But can we join in too?"

"Shut up," I turned and walked back.

It was not until I had walked off quite some distance that Adam finally caught up with me. "Are you leaving them behind?"
