she was reluctant

his lips twitched slightly at her reluctance

"you should know what this is and you know

what it's used for ...am not trying to poison you"

the young lady reluctantly opened her mouth and Lu Bingwen inserted the thermometer a

minute later he removed it and spoke

"mmh 36° , I'll give you a shot now to make you sweat out the remaining fever in your body and

then you'll be good to go"

"Thank you"

"You should thank Chief

you were drugged last night and if not for him God knows what would have happened"

The woman stared at him in surprise

"Drugged?How did that even happen "

"I don't know...don't you have a recollection of what happened last night and how you got here "

"no it's blur "

" Okay...do you know about your allergy to

alcohol "

"No"

"okay now you know "

As she was speaking the door to the room opened and a tall figure stepped in and once

she saw him she sucked in a cold breath....

the man before her was 1.9m in height the had a very tall and broad frame with very long legs to accompany his figure...he had deep set eyes his eye brows seemed to have been crafted delicately ,he had high cheekbones and a straight nose and to accompany all this was his thin straight lips and a chiseled jaw

he looked like he had just walked out of a

painting

Although, Lin Rouxue had seen her fair share of handsome men but looking at him,it seemed as though he was blessed by God more than the other men she had seen

"Oh that's my chief"Lu Bingwen replied to

answer he question

"oh"

"I'll get going now"

as he said that he didn't waste one more second

and rushed out of the door

as he brushed past Gao Yi he gave him a knowing look that said 'this is your chance now' but Gao Yi pretended like he didn't understand

once Lu Bingwen left ,The man and the woman

both stared at each other for a while before the man spoke first

"How are you feeling now"

"Am fine now...Err thanks for last night though

but I won't like to know something "

"Speak"

"How did I end up here"

"Through the balcony window"

the woman's eyes widened in surprise and

disbelief

"Through the balcony window!!??(☉｡☉)!.... how's that even possible? I don't remember knowing how to climb..."

As she reasoned all this out she heard the man's deep voice again

"Miss Lin...don't you remember how you climbed from the suite above mine to my room balcony?or how u even got to that room you were trying to run from?"

"No"

"that's okay... we'll try again another day"

"Another day?"

"Am sorry mister I would like to take my leave as it's getting late and my family would probably be looking for me"

the woman replied indifferently

the man's eyes flashed with something that looked like pain but he recovered from it quickly before she could notice anything

"where do u stay I'll drop you off"

The woman smiled a stiff smile and spoke again

"No am okay I'll just take a cab"

The man didn't want to look to desperate

"okay"

30minutes later

Lin Rouxue and Gao Yi walked out of the hotel

together

once they reached the entrance of the hotel she stopped and turned towards him and bowed

"Thank you Mr_"

"Gao Yi...just call me Gao Yi"

"Mr Gao"

"mmmh"

the woman hailed a cab and got into the vehicle

and gave her address to the driver

after she left,Gao Yi stood there and watched as

the cab drove off

turning around he walked into the hotel again

as he walked in his phone rang, reaching into his pocket he brought out his phone and once he saw the name on the screen his usually cold gaze turned warm he answered the call

immediately

"Mother"

there was silence on the other side for a while

before a soft voice spoke

"Xiao Yi"

"Eh"

"I heard you are back"

"Yeah"the man replied in a deep mellow voice

as he walked towards the elevator,he attracted

alot of stares from Both men and women because of his extraordinary looks

"why didn't you tell me you were back"

"Mother....I have been busy lately and I just got

last night I was too tired to come see you but I'll be coming home this evening"

"That's okay, then what time would you be back

I have some guests coming over"

"I should be home before 7"

"that's great"

"I'll hang up now "

as soon as he finished speaking he the elevator

doors opened ad he walked out and towards his

room

In an apartment condo, Lin Rouxue just got back

home and walked straight to her room and closed the door.

once she was in her own space the let out the

tears she had been holding

she crouched down by the foot to her bed and folded her

knees and buried her head in-between them and

cried to her hearts content

while she was crying she heard the sound of the

main door been opened and sound of foot steps In the hall

soon the door to her room opened and a young woman walked out,she switched on the light and saw the person she had spent the whole day looking for

"Rouxue"she called out in surprise she walked towards her when she noticed the woman was crying

her lips twitched and she hurried toward her best friend and crouched down to hug her

after Lin Rouxue had cried for a while she raised her head and spoke

"xuiying what should I do... wuu wuuu... how can

Han Ping Cheat on me and with my cousin of all people

I thought he loved me"

"Am so sorry xuexue I couldn't do anything when

all that happened....but it's not your fault maybe

this is God's way of saying you deserve better"
