CHAPTER 42: A NEW PART

As Si Kong served the dumplings, Nuan Nuan's eyes widened.

"They look amazing," she said.

Si Kong smiled.

"Try one," he encouraged.

Nuan Nuan took a bite, and her eyes sparkled.

"Delicious," she declared.

Si Kong chuckled.

Nuan Nuan stood up to get water. Suddenly, darkness covered her eyes.

Si Kong darted towards her. "Nuan Nuan. Nuan Nuan."

He carried her and quickly grabbed his car keys.

When she opened her eyes... "Water."

Si Kong quickly fed her water. "Are you okay?"

"Where am I?"

"In the hospital. You fainted,"

She looked around, her gaze drifting to the pictures of babies on the wall.

Her face froze in shock.

Her hand instinctively rose, hovering over her belly.

She remained motionless, silent.

Si Kong's concerned voice broke the silence.

"Nuan Nuan?"

But she didn't respond.

Her eyes remained fixed on the pictures, her mind reeling.

Si Kong's grip on her hand tightened.
