LOVE AFTER BROKEN

"Please don't do this to me, Marco. I didn't cheat you, believe me, please." "I don't know what else to say about our relationship, Katleah. Sign the divorce papers and get out of here before I lose my mind. I hope I don't forget who you are, because if I do, I'll kill you as soon as I see your face when I get back." Marco began to walk away, but Katleah grabbed his legs and stopped him. "Let me go, Katleah. Don't wait for me to stamp you." Katleah's heart shattered after hearing what he said. He doesn't love her, so she has no reason to beg. "Marco! I don't understand why you are so quick to trust other people over me. I thought you were in love with me. You always tell me that you can't lose me in your life, but as soon as you see my naked pictures, which I don't know who sent you, you forget all your promises? You want me to explain it to you, but what good will that do if you're unwilling to open your mind and accept what I'm saying? You're such a cruel person to love, babe! Knowing how easy it was for you to love me back then made me realize how easy it would be for you to leave me now. But I don't blame you; if that's what you want, I'm ready to disappear from your life." After seven years, Katleah returned on a private plane as a renowned surgeon, a billionaire heiress, and the devoted mother of two adorable 6-year-old twins. Will she be able to exact her revenge, or will love triumph between them?

CHAPTER 9- YES I DO

Katleah is still reeling from what happened earlier. The more he seems to interfere with her life, the more he annoys her. She didn't want to think he had feelings for her, but with everything Marco had done for her in the last few days, should she? No, she is unable to fall in love with a man. She is terrified of being hurt. So she doesn't want to think about it until she meets her real parents. Upon hearing Marco's voice, she immediately regained composure.

"Why were you in such a rush to return to the supermall? Didn't I tell you you had nothing to do but relax at home?"

"How kind you are, Mr. Dela Vega, but I should let you know that I won't be telling you everything I want to do. Who am I to you, anyway? We don't have enough of a relationship for me to even consider saying goodbye to you before I leave."

He froze when the girl gave a seemingly unrelated response to his inquiry. Why did it turn into what kind of relationship we have? As he turned to face Katleah, he smiled mischievously.

"What I want to know, Mrs. Dela Vega is why you went out instead of staying home to rest. How did it get into our relationship?"

His question made her flush. She shifted her gaze outside the window to hide her embarrassment. In retrospect, her initial response was incorrect. Once again, her mind is wandering.

"Besides, should I be asking that? Furthermore," he added. "I don't want people to make your life an appetizer because you will eventually become my wife, which is why I'm doing this."

"Is that it? So you're telling everyone that I'll be your wife soon? You're just putting me in a more conspicuous position to pique their curiosity. I don't know why, but some guy named Marco Dela Vega assumed that I was the intended bride." She paused before adding, "You're not helping, Marco. You've just made matters worse."

"How exactly am I making things worse for you?" I've simplified everything. Perhaps you would have returned to your job tomorrow if I hadn't come to see you. At the very least, I have given them a valid reason for your immediate resignation. Then why do you continue to make a fuss? If I were the only one, I'd fire your manager. It's best if you don't feel embarrassed, which is why I was still good to them earlier. Okay? So, you will serve as my secretary and future wife from here on out."

Katleah remained silent and focused on the breathtaking views outside the car window. Fighting with the man only ends in defeat for her.

"Keep your eyes on the road, Tomas!"

"Yes, Boss. Tsk. Tsk. The boss is awful; you'd think he'd notice me looking at them from the rearview mirror, but his boss fixed his gaze on Katleah as he looked out the window. Tsk. Tsk. His boss is madly in love but is unaware of his feelings.

Soon, their car stopped in front of the Mansion, and they waited for the two guards to open the gate so they could go inside. Katleah was taken aback by the size of the mansion. She examined it closely and was amazed by its distinct design, which smelled strongly of Eden's Palace. It stands in the middle of a large garden, surrounded by beautiful dancing flowers. She noticed a small tunnel leading to the woods at the end of the gardens. She was curious about where that tunnel led. Something immediately came to mind for her. She'll find out later and discover where that tunnel leads. She exited the car as soon as it stopped in the garage and went straight into her room.

Marco kept his gaze on her, knowing she was still getting used to his behavior. He took out his phone and dialed James' number. He hadn't brought her along earlier because he still had a lot of work to do in his office.

"How are you, Boss?"

"Do you have a girlfriend yet, James?"

James looked at his phone in surprise before returning it to his ear. Don't tell me my boss is in love with me. Boss, I already have a girlfriend, so I can't be with you anymore." James responded in a panic, fearful that his boss would flirt with him.

"What I mean is, have you ever fallen in love? You're crazy, James; you even made me gay with your stupidity."

James blinked in surprise at Marco's question, but then he blurted out, "Ah, of course, boss, I've experienced being in love with my girlfriend now."

"Uh, what does it feel like when a person falls in love?" Marco asked James out of curiosity.

"Of course, boss, you'll know you're in love when, the first time you see her, your chest feels like it's going to explode with nervousness, and you're always excited about seeing her again and being with her; you get agitated whenever you can't see her. You constantly want to hug her and make her happy. When you kiss her, you feel like floating on a cloud, reaching for the sky with joy." But his boss's subsequent responses made his mouth water.

"James, I would appreciate it if you could buy my wife several matching pajama sets. Also, add dresses. Never mind; I'll buy them alone. I'm afraid you'll buy something else and aggravate my woman rather than make her happy. He hung up the phone and directed the driver to the upscale shopping center.

James frowned and looked at his phone at the other end of the line. His boss's words had now perplexed him. "What happened to him? Could he have fallen in love with Katleah?" He scratched his head and continued with what he was doing.

Meanwhile, at the Mansion, Katleah carefully exited her room and descended the stairs. Outside the garden, she met Ador, a mansion gardener.

Where are you going, Ma'am Katleah? "

"Just give me a moment in the garden, Mr."

"Please address me as Ador, ma'am. Do you want me to accompany you?"

"Oh, don't worry, Ador. Just keep doing what you are doing. "I'll look after myself."

"Oh, I see; I'll excuse myself, ma'am. Be cautious, as the rain from yesterday may cause you to slip. "The ground isn't parched yet." He reminded her.

"All right, Ador, thank you." After waiting for Ador to leave, she hastily made her way to the far end of the plant and walked through a hidden tunnel. The further she walked inside, the more astonished she became by what she discovered.

Her vantage point allowed her to see two tall, rifted rocks off in the distance, which created a downstream waterfall effect. It reminds her of autumn rain. The crystal-clear water that flowed down from above captivated her immediately.

What if she bathes? She longs for the rushing water of her home province. For some reason, the thought of going to the pool made her very happy. It was only after a glance around that she stripped down to her underwear.

"Wow!" It's freezing!" She exclaimed as she immersed her entire body in the swimming pool as if freezing in the cold. She ran to the edge of the pool and looked down at the water level up to her neck before jumping in. She longs to relive her youth despite being an adult. Since there are so many trees nearby, she doesn't think anyone will notice her until after dark. The Mansion is utterly unseen from her view. Thus, she is confident enough to take a dip in the water.

With her eyes closed, she floated with her body stretched out in the water. She liked how the water cascaded down from above at the pool's deep end. Even though she was in the middle of the pool, she could still feel the water splashing against her. While lying in the water, she appeared to want to sleep.

Even after circling the entire garden, Marco couldn't see Katleah.

"Katleah, according to Ador, is only here to vent." He muttered to himself. He went straight into her room with his shopping because he had arrived earlier, and that's when he discovered she wasn't in her room."But where could she go?" His gaze scanned the mansion's perimeter, and he noticed a tunnel at the end of the garden. Because there are showers falling inside the woods, he built that tunnel on his own. He didn't even renovate the surrounding area, instead, he built a swimming pool. He is the only person who bathes there. He does not request that others clean it because he cleans it himself. "How could he go there?" He made his way through the tunnel and was astounded by what he saw when he arrived. He always takes a bath here when he doesn't have work, but now he realizes that it is better to look at these showers, especially when a beautiful fairy is floating in the water with her eyes closed. She didn't even notice his presence.

He also gradually removed his clothes, leaving only boyleg shorts. He jumped into the water while screaming. "Hoo!"

"Oh, cough! cough!" Katleah was shocked that she had forgotten she was floating in the water. She intended to stand up from floating, but she did not reach the bottom of the swimming pool, so she sank to the bottom and drank a lot of water.

Marco immediately embraced Katleah and assisted her in getting out of the water. "Are you okay, baby?" He inquired, concerned.

Katleah glared at him! "Look at you, Ah! You're vexing! How come you're shocking me!?"

"Huh? Baby, I didn't know you had a habit of sleeping in the water, so I didn't think you'd be surprised; I thought you noticed me coming," he lied while still carrying Katleah.

"Cough! Cough! Marco, you always enrage me; what else can you do other than shock me?" she exclaimed as she looked up. She had not anticipated Marco bending down to face her. Their lips accidentally brushed against each other, causing them to freeze.

They exchanged long stares while their lips were still touching, and they could feel the strength of their hearts beating in each other. As they touched each other's heat, their bodies were pumped with more electricity. Marco can't hold himself back any longer; he wants the girl to feel the warmth of his kisses."

"Katleah. How about we get married? " Marco's voice was hoarse as he spoke into Katleah's ear.

Katleah seemed to drown in happiness while her hands were still hugging Marco's neck. The hairs on his body stood up when he felt his hot breath touching his neck and ears. It was as if a strange sensation enveloped her entire being, and the cycle of her world suddenly changed. She has fallen in love with the man. She felt it. No matter how much she restrains herself, she cannot do it because, right now, her heart exists. In an instant, she completely forgot her life plan. Even though it will be difficult for her, she will still gamble. She hopes he will one day tell her he loves her too. She heard him ask her again.

"I need an answer from you, Katleah. Will you be my wife? Are you ready to spend the rest of your life with me? "

"Yes. I will marry you, Marco," Katleah stammered and nervously answered.

When he heard the girl's response, Marco's face lit up. He was happy because he would finally marry the woman he desired. Marco kissed her on the lips unexpectedly. When Katleah kissed back, the simple act escalated into something much more passionate and bewildering. When they finally broke apart to catch their breath, that's when the kiss ended. They embraced one another for an extended time and felt each heartbeat their hearts desired to express. They returned to the pool after a few minutes, laughing and frolicking like children.

They don't even say they love each other, but they both feel a new hope is emerging. Katleah got out of the water first and looked for her clothes. She was about to get dressed when she realized that she had been wearing nothing but panties and a bra since earlier.

"Oh my goodness, Katleah! You're incredibly foolish. You fell in love and became stupid?" She fled to a nearby tree and changed clothes there.

A smile appeared on Marco's lips when he saw the girl's reaction. It seems to be even cuter in her eyes when she blushes. Soon, he got out of the water and put on his clothes.

The servants were still surprised to see them still holding hands while entering the Mansion.

"By the way, Baby, next week we're going to Dela Vega Mansion." I'll put you in touch with Dad. So, be prepared, okay?" Marco suddenly said while they were walking.

"Dad?" Katleah asked in disbelief.

"Yes, I still need to introduce you to him; what if he gets ahead of me and marries me to another woman?"

Why did she forget Marco offered her marriage because of his father's term? As she considered the reasons for their marriage, she felt a sudden tug at her heart. Though she no longer displayed her emotions. "Okay. "Do you think your father will like me?"

"Of course," he says. You're sweet and lovely, and I'm sure Dad will like you." He gently kissed her on the forehead.

"Don't fret, sweetie; everything will be all right. Come on, and I'll take you to your room so you can get dressed."
