Chapter 47 All Under Control

Lisa had left, and Olivia had excused herself, leaving Renata alone at home. Renata was weighing the quiet outside these past few days, thinking it was impossible for Collin to hassle Dudley without any wind of it, when Xzavier called.

"Dudley's in trouble," he announced.

Renata had anticipated this. "Is he still alive?" she asked.

Xzavier replied, "He's been beaten nearly to death by Camron."

Renata paused momentarily.

"What happened?" Renata questioned.

"Collin had approached Dudley earlier, promising to let bygones be bygones if he defected to the Johnson family," Xzavier relayed.

Renata's face turned stern, and Xzavier didn't avoid the truth. "That idiot actually believed it. To save his own skin, he accepted the benefits of the Farley family and pledged allegiance, only for Collin to betray him."

Renata scowled. "What a fool!"

Xzavier added, "Camron's about to beat him to death, and nobody dares to intervene."
