180 Political discontent

As Dahlia and Valentina remained together in their own little corner through the evening, the others remained as a separate group. And although they perhaps lacked the same variety of chemistry as the other two did, at least three people had gathered into their own ball of comfort. 

Resting amidst blankets and beside a small fire that had been made, Bessie and Sabrina had found themselves comfortably tucked within Avery's wings, all while Josie somewhat awkwardly sat separately. Despite enjoying the comforting presence of each other though, the current conversations weren't quite so cosy.

"The way things are going, the Grand Duchy is going to turn into a shitshow before another month passes. We might have staunched the initial insurrection but, the way things are going, the Empire might just tear itself apart. Seriously, I have no idea what that Empress is thinking."
