Invasion of the Unknown

Four hours have passed since Kuroi regained his confidence with the help of Rukia. Currently, Rukia and Ichigo walk into the Kurosaki Clinic. They walk up the stairs and Ichigo opens the door to his room. Once the door opens, Kon tries to jump on Rukia.

"Sister!" exclaimed Kon.

Rukia casually lifts her foot and stops Kon from jumping on her. Then, she uses her foot to slam her on the ground and steps on him.

"Long time no see, Kon," said Rukia.

"It is you, sister. Even though we've been separated for the entire summer, you instantly stepped on me. I'm so happy," said Kon.

"Stop playing around and go in," said Ichigo.

"They should be here any minute," said Rukia.

"Who's going to be here?" asked Ichigo.

The ceiling light opens and reveals four soul reapers hiding in the ceiling. They jump down and land on the floor.

"How did you get there and what did you do to my light!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"We were just trying to fix the light," said Rangiku.

"Why are you guys here?" asked Ichigo.

"We need to plan how to deal with these Arrancar. The original plan was to sit around and wait until Aizena attacked the Soul Society, but the Arrancar has already appeared in the human world. That's why Yamamoto chose us to come," said Renji.

"The most important thing is that Aizen is interested in you, Ichigo Kurosaki," said Toshiro.

Everyone turns their heads and sees Toshiro sitting on the windowsill.

"How long have you been there?" asked Renji.

"That doesn't matter. The important thing is that if regular Hollows removed their masks, they wouldn't be a threat to us. If Aizen wants to go to war with us, these Arrancar have to be Menos or stronger. There are three types of Menos. Gillians are the weakest ones and they all look alike. These are the Menos that are usually referred to in textbooks. The second type is Adjuchas. They are smaller and fewer in numbers, but they're stronger and smarter. The final type is Vasto Lorde. They are the strongest, but also the smallest. Similar to the size of a human. The main problem is that their combat capabilities could be stronger than a captain. If he has ten or more of those Vasto Lordes, the Soul Society is doomed," said Toshiro.

"You give Aizen's goons too much credit. All we have to do is train and then we'll be able to beat him with ease," said Kuroi.

The soul reapers turn to look at Kuroi watching from the opened closet.

"How long have you been in there?" asked Ichigo.

"The last thirty minutes. You should start locking your doors if you don't want any weirdos sneaking in here," said Kuroi.

"So, when do you guys have to go back to the Soul Society?" asked Ichigo.

"We can't go back until the Arrancar threat is over," said Renji.

"I'm fine with you guys staying in the human world, but you can't stay in this room," said Ichigo.

"Wha!" exclaimed the soul reapers.

"Then what good are you!" exclaimed Rangiku.

"What good am I! Ask yourself that! Don't think that you can just stay here like a bunch of freeloaders!" exclaimed Ichigo.

Rangiku hears the response and starts to unbutton her shirt. Ichigo quickly covers his eyes.

"Stop at the one button and pull your skirt down and it's riding too far up! Your sexiness will not persuade me! I'm a real man!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"Please don't stop!" exclaimed Kuroi.

"Shut up, you horny bastard!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"Fine. I guess I'll just go to Orihime's," said Rangiku.

"Did you ask her first?" asked Toshiro.

"No, but I can arrange something," said Rangiku.

"Yumichika, let's go. We'll find our cots somewhere," said Ikkaku.

"I'll bunk with Kisuke. I want to see how he made you guys so strong. Plus, I want to talk to him about some things," said Renji.

The soul reapers walk out of the Kurosaki Clinic and search for places to stay.

"So Rukia, where are you going to stay?" asked Ichigo.

"Here of course!" exclaimed Rukia.

"Who said that! You can stay somewhere else! My closet is off limits!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"Your closet is drawing me in! I can't leave!" exclaimed Rukia.

"Stop with that bs!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"I guess that I'll just go. I have some photos to observe in my free time," said Kuroi.

Kuroi jumps out of the open window and lands on the ground. He looks at his phone and stares at the time.

"I should have enough time to fit a quick training session if I get back home in time. The Arrancar won't know what hit them," said Kuroi.

Three hours pass. Kuroi sits in the middle of his room, meditating with his blade. The stuffed animal looks out the closet and sees his master meditating.

"Kuroi. Kuroi, are you here?" said Meinu.

"Shut up. I'm meditating," said Kuroi.

"You've been doing that for the past two and a half hours though," said Meinu.

"I need to train before the Arrancar get here. I can't lose any more," said Kuroi.

"How is meditating going to make you stronger?" asked Meinu.

"It just will, so-," said Kuroi.

Kuroi stops talking and opens his eyes when he senses a large spiritual pressure.

"They're here. Meinu, watch my body. I'll be back in a few," said Kuroi.

Kuroi grabs his badge and taps it on his chest. His soul escapes his body and he jumps out of his window and flash steps towards Chad. He flash steps for a minute until he sees Chad running down the street. Kuroi runs up to him.

"What are you running from?" asked Kuroi.

"Ichigo and Rukia told me to leave while they dealt with an Arrancar," said Chad.

"They're down there right?" asked Kuroi.

"Yes," said Chad.

"Ok. Thanks," said Kuroi.

Kuroi turns around and flash steps towards his friends. He reaches them in a few seconds and sees them standing before an Arrancar.

"It looks like you brought some help," said the Arrancar.

"I thought you Arrancar would be stronger. Toshiro was acting like you guys were a threat to the Soul Society," said Kuroi.

"You can go. I can deal with this guy," said Ichigo.

"No, I want to fight him. I need to gauge their strength," said Kuroi.

"Both of you guys need to move. Let me handle this guy," said Rukia.

Rukia pulls out a temporary soul dispenser and pops a soul candy into her mouth. Her soul is ripped out of her Gigai and replaced with the temporary soul.

"You got your powers back," said Ichigo.

"Yes and I'm strong enough to defeat this guy, so let me handle him," said Rukia.

"But-," said Kuroi.

Before Kuroi can finish talking, Rukia's temporary soul hops onto him.

"Pyon!" exclaimed Rukia's temporary soul.

"Get off me!" exclaimed Kuroi.

"Please graciously clear yourself from the premises pyon!" exclaimed Rukia's temporary soul.

"What does pyon even mean!" exclaimed Kuroi.

"This is the most popular soul candy amongst female soul reapers. I ordered this soul candy from Kisuke, but we got Kon instead," said Rukia.

"Wait! You're telling me that you were going to put this freak in our bodies!" exclaimed Kuroi.

"That's not nice pyon!" exclaimed Rukia's temporary soul.

"Shut up before I kill you!" exclaimed Kuroi.

While the soul reapers are distracted, the Arrancar tries to spear Rukia's body with his hand, but Rukia blocks his hand with her Zanpakuto. Rukia is forced to jump back, but she charges at the Arrancar. Rukia's Zanpakuto and the Arrancar's hand clash in the center of the street.

"Arrancar number 16 D. Roy at your service," said D. Roy.

"Squad 13, Ruk-," said Rukia.

"I already know your name, Kuchiki. If I have to hear the names of the people that I have to kill again, it will just become annoying," said D. Roy.

"If that's the case, I'll annoy you with only one name. The name of my blade. Sode no Shirayuki," said Rukia.

Rukia's Zanpakuto becomes an all-white blade with a white ribbon on its hilt. Rukia holds it in a counter-clockwise direction.

"Beginning Dance: Tsukishiro," said Rukia.

A patch of ice appears under her and the Arrancar. The Arrancar flies into the air, thinking that he has dodged the attack.

"My specialty is flying in the air. Your blade can't affect me in the sky no matter how many parts of the ground that you freeze," said D. Roy.

"Indeed, it is quite regrettable that Sode no Shirayuki does not only freeze things on the ground. You see, anything that lies within its circle has sealed its fate," said Rukia.

A large beam of ice shoots out of the circle and traps the Arrancar. As the giant iceberg cracks and breaks, the Arrancar body cracks and well and dies in the conglomerate of ice.

"Rukia, that was cool," said Ichigo.

"I've trained very hard to acquire this Shikai. It's expected for me to destroy weak enemies with it," said Rukia.

"We can help defeat the other Arrancar. Hopefully, they're as weak as this guy," said Kuroi.

"This guy was probably the weakest. I doubt that the others are as weak as him," said Rukia.

"The next one is mine and it will be a-," said Ichigo.

Ichigo stops bragging when the three soul reapers sense a large spiritual pressure. They look at the rooftop and see a blue-haired Arrancar watching them.

"How dare you kill D. Roy and still stick around? You won't get away with this soul reapers," said the blue-haired Arrancar.

The blue-haired Arrancar hops off the rooftop and lands on the ground.

"What I want to know is which one of you is the strongest!" exclaimed the blue-haired Arrancar.

"We have to fall back before he-," said Rukia.

Before Rukia can finish talking, the blue-haired Arrancar puts his hand through Rukia's stomach and lifts her.

"I knew that you weren't the strongest one," said the blue-haired Arrancar.

"You just messed up, Hollow," said Kuroi.

Kuroi flash steps towards the blue-haired Arrancar and tries to slash him with his Zanpakuto, but the Arrancar just blocks it with his fist. Ichigo tries to attack him from behind, but the Arrancar just blocks him with his other fist.

"This can't be it. Start trying," said the blue-haired Arrancar.

The Arrancar casually flicks away the two soul reapers. The two soul reapers fly back to both ends of the street.

"Are you guys underestimating me? I don't feel like killing you guys yet, so get a grip and come show me your Bankais. If you don't, the same thing that I did to that soul reaper will happen to you. I'll put a hole in you!" said the blue-haired Arrancar.

"You want to see our Bankais huh? It will be your funeral. Ichigo, let's do this!" said Kuroi.

"Ok!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"Bankai!" exclaimed the soul reapers.

The soul reapers enter their Bankai states and rocket towards the Arrancar. The Arrancar barely dodges the blitz. The two soul reapers try to cut the Arrancar, but he catches their blades at the last second. He then proceeds to throw the soul reapers down the street. The Arrancar charges at the soul reapers and tries to grab them, but Kuroi appears behind him. The Arrancar kicks him in the face, but Ichigo sneaks in a powerful right hook. The Arrancar is sent flying into a house.

"Are sneak attacks the only thing that you're good at? I guess I can't go easy on you guys," said the blue-haired Arrancar.

"Losers always say that, but they're never able to provide results," said Kuroi.

Kuroi wants to continue to talk smack, but he doesn't see the Arrancar behind in the destroyed house.

"Where did he go?" asked Kuroi.

"Who are you calling a loser?" asked the blue-haired Arrancar.

Kuroi partially turns his head and sees a cero forming in the Arrancar's fingers. With little to no time to dodge, Kuroi turns around and tries to block the cero with his Zanpakuto. Ichigo flies up and tries to save his friend, but he doesn't arrive in time. The Arrancar releases the cero and easily sends Kuroi flying into multiple houses. Most of his shihakusho is burnt off and his Zanpakuto is still held in his scared hands as they shake rapidly. Barely conscious, he falls over and tries to get up, but he can't.

"Don't do this again, body. Just get up and we can win," said Kuroi.

His body doesn't care and he just lays on the ground. He even tries to use his chin to move, but he can't get anywhere.

"Why am I always in this predicament?" asked Kuroi.

"You don't have to be in this predicament if you let us help you," said Seishin.

"This is my fight. I can't depend on you to give me power when I need it. I have to win with my strength," said Kuroi.

"He's on an entirely different level than you. He'll kill you if you continue to fight him. You need us," said Seishin.

"The only thing that I need is me, so buzz off. I'll deal with him," said Kuroi.

"You can't even move. Without us, you'll-," said Seishin.

"Shut up. I'll use your power when I need it. All I need is my willpower and my muscles, so leave me alone," said Kuroi.

Kuroi starts to lift himself. Every minute that passes, he lifts himself an inch off the ground. A few more grueling minutes pass before he finally lifts himself. He starts to slowly limp down the empty street. He walks down the street where the fight had taken place and sees a huge crater at the end of the street. He starts to limp faster until he sees Ichigo kneeling in the crater.

"That Arrancar's spiritual pressure disappeared, so did you win?" asked Kuroi.

"I lost," said Ichigo.

"What do you mean?" asked Kuroi.

"Don't play stupid. We got our asses destroyed by that Arrancar! We could have had a chance to beat him if you didn't get ceroed to the other side of the city!" said Ichigo.

"Are you trying to blame me! You're the weakest one here! If you focused on your training, we could've won!" exclaimed Kuroi.

"So, it's my fault now! I didn't choose to be a soul reaper! I was forced to become one! I've been trying my best to become strong! You can't blame the weakest link for every single loss!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"I could've beat him by myself if I was strong enough! At the end of the day, we're both weak, but you're weaker!" exclaimed Kuroi.

"Thank you for rubbing it in my face! We both failed to protect this town from Grimmjow, so stop playing the blame game and get up early in the morning, and don't stop training until you surpass him! That's how we win! That's how we beat Aizen! Can't you get that through your perverted head, Kuroi!" exclaimed Ichigo.

"I hate that you're right," said Kuroi.

Kuroi sticks his hand out and Ichigo grabs it and gets up off the ground.

"Go to Kisuke's shop. I need time to brood," said Kuroi.

"Are you going to go back to your usual spot?" asked Ichigo.

"I don't have a usual spot. This whole city is my brooding grounds," said Kuroi.

"Are you going to come back?" asked Ichigo.

"I'll come back when I get stronger. I can't look at them while I'm so weak. I'll see you later, Ichigo,"

So, I gave you guys tips on how to write good stories last time. This time, I guess I will expose to you guys how I write these chapters. The first thing I do is brainstorm ideas for each chapter. I think about the length I want each chapter to be and what I want in it. That's why some chapters are long and some are short and why some arcs are long and some are short. I just know because I plan a lot of things in advance. The second thing I do is get to writing. I usually write a chapter per day. Sometimes I'm able to write two if I have time. I have the manga chapters pulled up on another tab because I'm too broke to buy all of the volumes. The third thing I do is read through it. I do this to make sure there are no errors and it sounds good enough to release. If it's not good enough, I will change what I think sucks and fix it. The fourth thing I do is put the chapter into Grammarly to make sure there are no errors. The last thing I do is upload it to Webnovel and release it. That's my process. Enjoy the chapter and have a good day! Fun Fact: I calculated how much time it would take to read this story from chapter 1 and it would take you around seven hours. I'm currently at the beginning of the Thousand Year Blood War Arc which starts at Chapter 57. The Fullbring Arc ended at Chapter 56 and only lasted seven chapters, which makes it the shortest arc. If we were to calculate the time to read from chapter 1 to chapter 57, which will be released in the fall, it would take you nearly 14 hours.
