[14] THROBBING HEART~

Kayra felt her sense being wrapped by Cardinal's perception. She let him get control of her body because she believed in her system.

In the next moment, she felt both of their minds and thoughts. The aggressiveness from Cardinal came to her eyes as well.

A mecha armor covered her right hand and the extended part became a gun. She pointed the gun at Alberto's head and murmured in a chilly voice, "A sip? Why don't I shoot you and then pay tribute with a drop of my blood?!"

Before Alberto could come back to his senses, Kayra shot at him. Levin stepped forward, grabbed Alberto's body and flew away. But Kayra didn't remove her vigilance against them as her eyes went colder.

'How dare they want a sip of my blood?! The audacity of them!'

After establishing a contract with Cardinal, some traits of his arrogance went to her brain as well. Not to say when they fused.

She would never allow someone to look down on her, less alone give away her precious blood!

Kayra glared at the three men coldly and clenched her palm; getting ready to shoot them again. But unbeknownst to her, that cold look of her caused someone's heart to go into disarray.

Alberto Del'virmanos, who was being held by his cousin, felt the chaotic heartbeat of his cousin and looked back with a serene face yet, his eyes showed disbelief.

"Brother…" Alberto whispered.

But Levin didn't pay attention to his cousin and stared at Kayra without blinking. 'The similarities... If I did not knew better I would have thought he has appeared before me in a lady's disguise...'

Levin endured the bitter feeling which was spreading in his heart and took a suppressed breath.

Mr. Swine felt his legs go weak when he saw the mecha gun in Kayra's possession.

'I am done for! She must be a powerful princess to have her mecha!'

This thought crossed his mind first. He yearned to go ahead and be the mediator to stop any incoming fight but at some point, a huge pressure came from the front, from the lady. 'If something went wrong in this Auction Palace, I will be doomed!'

While Mr. Swine was panicking in his mind, both Levin D'razure and Alberto Del'virmanos were shocked by the terrifying pressure coming from Kayra. Both of them had a single thought.

'Who is she?' Alberto wondered.

But they were forced to come out from their thoughts as Kayra's left hand also got covered with a red mecha armor and another gun appeared.

Then she glanced outside and shouted while pointing the left gun; her red eyes were glowing with murderous intent.

"Who's there?!"

A loud noise of air being cut rang out as the Azure Planet's battle spaceship revealed itself. This time, Mr. Swine fell to the ground on his knees and stared at it in disbelief.

A gigantic spaceship revealed itself in the clouds of the Auction Planet. It pointed its railguns, cannons, and laser shooters at Kayra. The red lights coming from those centered on her body, ready to kill her at any moment.

At that, Cardinal was provoked. The butterfly earring began to heat, the process in which way the mecha was stealing energy from the surrounding area.

In the Auction Palace, the lights began to go on and off, the air conditioners were shutting down with loud noises.

Kayra's whole body got shrouded in red light, the sign that Cardinal's main body would appear at any moment to fight that damn spaceship.

Looking at the pessimistic predicament, Levin D'razure could no longer stay silent to evaluate the lady who looked familiar to a certain someone. He turned towards the spaceship and shouted in a booming voice, "Theo, stop!"

At his shout, the spaceship which was inching towards the palace paused. Then, a portal opened in the sky. A gigantic bird came out from the spaceship and flew towards the palace.

Looking at the huge white bird with sky-blue wings and tail, Kayra became dumbstruck. Instead of aggression, her eyes got filled with admiration as she saw the bird leaving soft snow trails behind his way as its long tail swayed in the air gracefully.

But her admiration lasted only a few minutes as the bird transformed into a man and pointed a laser gun at her with a savage expression.

"My lord, this lady here has tried to assault both you and Sir Alberto. She should be punished!" The ground got covered with a layer of ice as he threw a threatening look at Kayra.

Theo Glacior, the chief of Levin D'razure's shadow knights, said in a deep voice as his extremely cold blue orbs glared at Kayra.

Levin's temple throbbed when he saw his knight ignoring his earlier command and still pointing firearms towards the lady whose name he wanted to know the most at the moment.

His patience collapsed and a heavy pressure came out from his body and went around. Kayra felt a gust of hot wind blowing past her. But when she blinked, for some reason, she could no longer believe the scene she was watching.

Both Theo Glacior and Alberto Del'verminos were kneeling before her.

"My lady! It's all my fault! I am willing to compensate with anything!" Being quick-witted, Alberto Del'virmanos spoke out like a gentleman while his shoulder was being pressed down by his cousin.

"Why are you quiet?!" Levin D'razure asked his shadow knight who was similarly being pressed down by him beside Alberto.

"Sorry, my lady. I guess I have done something terrible?" Theo Glacior said respectfully and unlike Alberto, he continued to stare at the ground.

"Ah?!" Kayra was taken aback by this sudden turn of events. Still, the apology of Theo Glacior successfully satisfied the vanity of her mecha's consciousness.

The laser gun was hidden by the shadow knight as well as the spaceship retreated and hid in the clouds. After watching the situation, Cardinal retracted the armor from Kayra's hands and the guns vanished as well.

She gave them a last look and glanced at the men who were kneeling on one leg in front of her. She smiled gracefully and replied, "I forgive you!"
