Chapter 1 part 1

~Miles's POV~

I was just walking back to my Apartment when I noticed two small children in front of the Apartment Building.They seem way too young to be outside in this cold weather.I would offer them to come to my small Apartment….but come on lets be real.Seeing a twenty two year old man approach them with a bag of candy would definitely be petrifying for two small kids.I'd without a doubt seem like a kidnapper!I tried to focus on getting to my apartment without looking at the kids,and go on a guilt trip!"Don't Look at them.Don't look at them…."I quietly told myself.I ended up looking at the two kids,disobeying my own words.There was a little girl and a little boy sitting on the chilly concrete.They were embracing each other desperately to produce some heat from each other to warm up from the cold.The boy was very cautious of his surroundings,every person that would pass by he would glare at.The boy looked very tired,he had bags under his eyes and his face was red from the cold weather.I then looked at the girl.She looked like she was barely even a toddler from how tiny she was.Oh my goodness,she looks worse than the boy does! Boggers were dripping down her nose, her little nose bright red,the top of her cheeks rosy pink,and even the little bits of her fingers that I saw were red.I started to mumble to myself."Should I take them in? What if they think I'm a stalker? Would I really be a capable person to take care of these kids myself? What would their parents think of a man taking their kids to his home? Parents....Parents….Parents…..Their Parents!"I felt eyes in my directions.A nervous laugh slipped out from my mouth.I scratched the back of my head and apologised."Sorry…"They returned back to what they were doing,though I still felt a couple eyes still on me.Anyway,back to the real issue, the kids.If they have parents then where are they?Why are they not taking care of their kids? "Ugh!You know what Fuge this!"I started walking towards the kids,but before I got to where they were,I noticed something so I stopped mid-way.
