Do you trust me?

Charlotte didn't respond very fast to what Ray said. Ray didn't have time to explain what he was planning so he took Charlotte in his arms and started running very fast away from the group. Charlotte was very shocked not because of him carrying her in his arms but his strength in doing that. Ray was running at the same time carrying her in his arms. Charlotte knew she was not that light but still the man took her like a bag of potatoes. When they got near the street he placed Charlotte down and started panting not because of fatigue but the stresshe had to go through. After taking a rest for some few minutes he turned to the woman beside him and said with a smile "my name is roland ray" what's yours? The lady tried to remember where she heard of the name Roland but couldn't figure it out. Then she said my name's Charlotte Beckley and then said something which surprised Ray. Thank you for saving me. Ray shook his head and said it was nothing. After a brief moment the place turned eerie. Time seems to run slow when Ray and Charlotte stared at each other and thinking the same thing. Who is this person and why did I have to run into (him)/(her).Their thoughts were interrupted when they heard a ruckus near by they knew who that voice belong to so they started running as fast as their legs could carry them. When they reach the middle of the street. Ray spotted a rope and came up with an idea but due to the circumstance they were in he couldn't share his idea with Charlotte. Before Charlotte knew Ray had come close to her and said "do you trust me"? Charlotte was sunk in the hansome face of Ray that she didn't know when she nodded. Ray then exclaimed good and told her to stand near the edge of a bridge. Charlotte did as he said. Ray tied the rope to the end of a light pole near the bridge and hid behind a car. Some few minutes came and a group of men spotted a lady and started running towards her with lustrous desire. Charlotte was scared and almost ran but then she record what ray said. She didn't know why she believed in a stranger but the was no one here to help her so she had to take the risk. When the group of men got near her she almost lost her ground but something happened that shock her. The gang tripped over and fell into the water. Ray came out of his hiding place but ambushed by a delegate body. Charlotte was sobbing in the chest of a man she didn't know but soon that sadness turned into laughter. Ray had never heard such a melodious sound before and was lost in it. Charlotte then exclaimed with a bright face and said that was hilarious!!
