Tending Injuries On My Own
"If only you could have stayed under the bed." William turns to glares at me but still held me with those arms that promised to not let me go.
"Topple over this room and find the stones! And get these two tied up!" Bill barks an order.
The floor echoes with cries and foot marching with more than just a pair.
"At least now we know what they wanted." I look at William whose mouth was formed into a thin line. "Let's take them down!"
"Not you, I'll do it."
"But-" He pushes me back and steps forward, tackling three men at a time and blocking me from the upcoming opponents.
But he had forgotten one thing, he was a normal human and not with superpowers who had eyes everywhere and could fight the world alone. More men were rushing inside the room and rummaging around it to find the very precious stone we brought on our way here.
