The footsteps grew closer and closer until I heard them stop after entering the room. It didn't sound like two people. Maybe it was only one of them here at the moment and the other would follow behind soon after. Rose and Liam never seemed to leave each other's side. Maybe it was just Liam here. I could take him on probably, alone. Not sure what strengths he has in his hand but if it's rose, that's harder. She has some sort of magical power to do basically anything she wants. Would be a heroic way to go though. Trying to save my mother from the evil clutches of those who dare to harm her.
I peeked outside the tarp to see just who I was up against. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was none other than that douchebag who showed up and was harassing Liam and Rose. What if that's why he was after Rose? Maybe she had something to do with this. She could have known all along and deceived me into thinking we were friends. She could be deceiving Liam just like Anatygralis did to me. She made me believe we could be together. That she would be happy with me but instead she was only waiting for him. No, stop, not everyone is the same. I can't go down this rabbit hole. She could have nothing to do with it. I gotta give them the benefit of the doubt. One thing is for sure. I'm leaving here with my mother, one way or another.
I jumped out from under the tarp and hit the guy upside the head as hard as I could. He didn't even see it coming. He was knocked out cold. I guess I underestimated my strength. Either way, it still kinda sucked. Now I would have to wake him somehow or wait till he wakes up to get answers out of him. Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to do so. I was still unsure of how much time I had and if more would follow suit to his entrance. I needed to get my mother out of here and as far away from this horrible place as possible. I looked around for a way to open the darn tube she was in but my efforts were futile. I could not find anything that could resemble something of an opening system. If there even was one. I punched the glass repeatedly to no avail except for the smallest of cracks. I paused momentarily to curse at the darn object that was withholding my mother from me. I punched it a few more times, tears beginning to swell in my eyes. What if I was unable to save her? It wasn't until about punch number thirteen did my vision become blurry. I thought maybe I had started to cry and I hadn't noticed. I wiped at my eyes furiously. Nothing changed and I began to see spots before the most horrific pain in my head and then nothing but darkness.
