CHAPTER 06

Once the registration and such were done, I walked off from the principal's office with Ethan before getting my time table and the key for my locker from a lady. There were five subjects to learn for this semester as per my desired selection. I do English Literature, ICT, Arts, Geography and Music.

"The subjects you selected are kind of weird." Ethan tilted his head to side and side reading my timetable. "Still love this subject combination????" He asked, smiling.

"Yes, ICT is for my career. Music, Arts and English Literature are parts of my hobbies, you know it right?" Ethan nodded.

"I'm going to my class. Catch ya after the school" He waved bye before disappearing from my sight.

As per the time table, my first period is English Literature, class E1. Putting my other books and my bag into the locker, I walked straight to my class. I know no one here. Observing the whole classroom, I found a desk behind which is next to the window. The sight was really beautiful. The sight of a forest in the distance was really breathtaking with cold weather. I chose to stay alone not wanting much friends. Because I already went through betrayal from my best friend. Best friend who occupied my boyfriend. Ex boyfriend!!!!

Not wanting to stay doing nothing until boredom was hovering over me, I began to read the textbook. After around three minutes of time, I heard some girls sound like they welcome someone. Since I'm already enjoying my own company with the book, I didn't need to look up and gossip. I know if he or she is the lecturer, they never act like this. So, I continued what I'm already doing.

"Hey do you mind if I sit here?" A familiar voice asked.

"No problem" I replied without taking off my eyes from the book. I heard he sat.

"So, Ellie, how are you?" Then I took off my eyes and turned to reply knowing the person already. The Zane guy!!!

"I'm doing good Zane. What about you?" I asked. But before he replied he stared at testing my patience. I really don't like people stare at me giving me clueless ideas.

"I'm doing good too. Actually, I'm really sorry for what happened yesterday. Can we talk after school?" He asked, apologizing.

"Yeah, No problem Zane." I replied shortly, turning my eyes back to the book. But, I couldn't read any more since the lecturer arrived.

"Hello guys, I'm Martha Mendes. I'm your literature lecturer...." She started the class.

"Hey!!!!!" Zane met me after the Music class which was at the end.

"Are you waiting for me Ellie?"

"Uh yeah, but both" I replied. Because, I wanted to let Ethan know that I'm gonna hangout with Zane. Zane raised his eyebrow with confusion for my reply. "I have to tell Ethan, otherwise he will worry"

"But he knows yeah you go everywhere. You know places here isn't it?" He chuckled

"Actually, I came to Neverland the day before last night. So, I don't even know how to go to my home" I stated, setting my eye contact with my shoes.

"Oh, don't worry, I'll drop you girl" He remarked before dialing a number from his phone. " Hey, Ethan ------ Zane here bro!!!!! ------- Yeah, by the way I wanna tell you that I'm gonna hang out with Ellie. I'll drop her. She's waiting for you to tell outside----- Yeah---- oh okay!!! I'll tell" Zane hung up the phone and looked at me.

"What did he say?" I asked

"He's getting late today. He said okay and not to worry but come home before 6" He informed me with a cute smile. It was so adorable to be honest.

"Okay!!! Where are we going?" I asked

"Somewhere we can talk alone, I know a perfect place in the forest nearby. There's a lake." Zane stated as four boys came to him at the same time. They were the boys I saw at the party and who Ethan told they are Lords. "Hey mates!!!!" He greeted them and suddenly those boys were staring at me with a confused face.

"Do you see any food or something on my face?" I joked. I know it's not better to ask like that since I don't know them. But, since I'm kind of a forward person I couldn't bear it. All laughed.

"She's still the same Zane" A boy who's with shoulder-longed hair told me. "By the way, I'm Harry, Harrison Scott" He stretched out his hand .

"Hi!!! I'm Ellie. Eleanor Reed" I said shaking his hand. Others too introduced themselves one by one. Ned, Luke & Lloyd.

"I catch y'all tonight mates. Come to my place" Zane waved goodbye to them before walking off with Zane.

After a few minutes of silent walking, we reached the lake he told in the forest. There was a bench near it where anyone could sit and admire the beauty of the lake plus nature. Chirping of birds, trees dancing to the melody of wind and the sound of waves in the lake create so calm environment.

"You can sing nicely." Zane complimented snapping me from admiring the beautiful nature.

"Uhh... no.. What?" I was finding words to reply for the compliments but couldn't.

"I'm talking about today's music class, Ellie," Zane said. "I never thought you can sing, since you're type of a stubborn girl being harsh to people" He smiled

"How do you know I'm stubborn?"

"Ethan told me at the party"

"Whaatttt!!!!!!" I didn't see him talking with Ethan. He has already ruined my sweet character.

"Before I Invited you to dance, I asked him. Then he warned to be careful, she's so stubborn and hard to handle. Still she's the same" Zane winked before plastering a huge happy smile.

"He said like that?" I asked. He nodded and I admitted true of myself. "Yeah, actually it's true. I don't afraid to accept my weaknesses. I'm so stubborn girl with a bad temper and hard to handle"

"Still the same Ellie" He chuckled, staring me in the eye as I did the same. When my eyes locked with his zoning out, I felt so much familiar. But I didn't know the reason. I saw something in his eyes which is not understandable to me.

"You're staring," Zane stated. I quickly turned my sight to the lake with a completely blank expression. "What are you thinking Ellie?"

"Nothing," I replied, still not looking at him.

"What? You can talk to me okay. I feel you are broken"

This time, I looked at him with confusion. "How do you know?"

"I feel you. So, don't you like to talk about it"

"I----Ummm, I was dating a couple of months ago. He's Brian Rolland. I really loved him, and he was the one I had dreams to live with one day. That much deeply, I loved him. But he left me after two years of dating" I said focusing on the water.

"Reason?"

"I'm acting like a boy. I have so many male friends and I'm not the one for him and he was occupied by my best friend" The tears began to roll down from my eyes as I explained. He held my hand and pulled me closer and hugged me tightly. It made me comfortable. Because, I was never comfortable to talk about Brian with anyone except Ethan.

"Don't waste your tears for someone who doesn't know your value," Zane said to my head and kissed the top of my head. I felt secure in his arms. I don't know why I felt since I don't know much about him. I pulled myself away from him and wiped my tears.

"You know Ellie, I'm also a broken person" he looked at me before continuing. "I loved a girl who had a unique personality. She's also stubborn and hard to handle like you. That's why I told you yesterday that you reminded me of someone. She fought with boys without any fear. I fell for her unknowingly. She was the best thing that ever happened to me. I saw my mother. She cared for me, loved me and never let me be isolated in any problems. I married her, Ellie. But I was not lucky to be with her for a long time. On our first wedding anniversary morning, she was shot to death at our home. She was 6 months pregnant. She left me without even a word" His strained voice and eyes full of tears made me tear apart.

"She didn't say Goodbye even, Ellie"

I stood before kneeling down in front of him. I took his sorrowful face into my hands. "Hey don't.... I know it's really hard to just hear only the shot but couldn't save Eleazar, the love of your life. But, do you have any idea of how the spell was broken?" I asked since I needed to help him. He widened his eyes.

"How do you know those?" Zane asked, hitting my mind so hard reminding my mouth has no break at all. "Tell me how do you know?"

"I think I should go now" I stood and walked away even though I have no idea where I should go. I know nowhere here. But the sudden grip of Zane around my wrist pulled me to him. My back just hit his body but, grip wasn't released yet.

"Tell me, Ellie, how do you know? Don't mess with me, How the hell do you know her name even?" He hissed to my ear making shivers run down through my spine. Did I wake up a monster? Damn it, Ellie.

"I.... uhhh.. Zane let me go please. Drop me home, it's nearly 5.30" I said without turning to him

"Ellie, answer me and I don't want to repeat the same" This time he was really angry which made me scared to death.

"Okay first release my hand it's hurting" I stated and he did. I turned around and added" Because, I saw them from my own eyes Zane."

"Explanation?" He raised his brows.

"Eleazar's death was my nightmare since I was small. And I saw it from my perspective. I still remember the shot I have seen and it was the fear in my whole life until now. And.... and I've seen you too. I've seen you as my husband and still confused about what it is all about. Last morning I also had it..." I sighed "Now please drop me home Zane. I don't like to talk about those nightmares."

He embraced me tightly, closing the gap between us. Then gave a kiss on my forehead. "Let's go," He stated. "Stay with me please"

I nodded. What is this guy? Getting sweet and then angry and again becoming so sweet? Does he have bipolar disorder or something?

He held my hand and walked me to the home.
