Chapter 27: Kian Peters

STERLING MANSION:

"Young Mistress, Grandpa Sterling is calling for you." A maid bowed as she delivered the message which she was sent.

"Okay, I'll be there shortly." Olivia said as she dismissed the maid.

Olivia had one last look on the mirror and grabbed her handbag. She had just received an email from Oscar (her brother's personal assistant) that Ethan wanted to meet up. She knew this would come sooner than later and it's better to get it done with. She'd ran away 4 years ago and know she was back without informing anyone.

"Uh... Olivia Sterling, you can do this!"

Olivia climbed down the stairs to see everyone waiting downstairs for her.

"My dear, have a seat." Grandpa Sterling said as she sat beside him.

"Greetings to everyone that came here today, I know this meeting was called on a short notice but I think it's high time we get our only granddaughter married."

"What? Did I just here married?" Olivia exclaimed.

"Calm down! I know this is hard but you're 28 already, you need to settle down." Grandpa Sterling stated as Maddy (her aunt) nodded in agreement.

"But Grandpa, I told you I don't want to get married." Olivia protested.

"Okay don't get married, at least meet the guy."

"He's a very nice guy from a reputed family and he's also my friend grand son." Grandpa Sterling pleaded.

"Okay, I'll meet the guy but I'll decide if I'll marry him or not."

"That's my girl."

"Mr Sterling, the reservation have been booked." Oscar said as he tapped on the iPad on his hand.

"And what about Miss Peters, is she here yet?"

"Urm...yes, she arrived earlier but she's gone on her lunch break." He replied as Ethan checked his watch.

"Oh? Then let's head to the airport, inform Miss Peters that the trustees will be here first thing tomorrow morning."

"Sure sir."

"So how did it go?" Stacy asked her friend who had been dull since she arrived.

"Terrible, my worst fears finally happened... he's really married and to with two daughters. Olivia cried.

"Calm down, you'll find someone better." Stacy said, pacifying the crying Olivia.

"Someone better? It's already too late, my marriage is set and I'm meeting the guy next weekend."

"Wait...what? Next weekend?" Stacy exclaimed.

"I don't even know what to do anymore."

"It's okay!"

"Welcome back Mrs Peters and-"

"The name's Kian...Kian Peters." Kian replied as he held his grandmother's hand.

"Sorry for that." Mrs Peters apologized.

"The driver will be here soon." The man said as he led them to the waiting hall.

"Grandma, sit down we'll be there shortly." Kian said as he sat his grandmother down.

"Just rest a little or else it will affect your health,I'll be back with some water." Kian said and ran off.

Ethan arrived the airport with Oscar, waiting for the trustees to descend the plane.

"Urgh...where are this p-"

"Ouch." A tiny voice spoke as he rubbed his hand on his forehead.

"Oh? I'm sorry." Kian said as he looked up to face Ethan and so did he. They stared at each other for about 2 minutes before they broke the eye contact.

"Boss, that little boy...why does he look a lot like you when you were younger?" Oscar suddenly asked as Ethan widened his eyes in surprise and stared at his assistant.

"Do you mean he's-"

"You've never had anything with any woman except the woman four years ago." Oscar explained.

"Urm... little boy, what's your name?" Ethan asked softly and for the first time in 2 days the boy smiled and replied.

"I'm Kian...Kian Peters."

"Peters???"
