1 Chalice of Winter

(AN: Been planning to do a more adventure-styled Game of Thrones novel and here it is)

Deep in the hills of Norvos lay a ruined city belonging to the remnants of the ancient Sarnor empire, though this city was not sacked by the Dothraki it was however buried when a natural disaster caused the mountain to come crumbling down burying most of the over city, though the city was special as it was one of the last Sarnori cities that still kept to their old gods.

Ankasi the spider goddess of deceit and destruction demands offerings and sacrifice and in return will rain down chaos and destruction upon thy enemies if sacrifices were not given then be ready to suffer plagues and droughts.

Under the city is the last Temple to Ankasi that is still intact, inside are gold and Jewels all the offerings that were given to appease the vengeful god, but that is all inconsequential when compared to some of the treasures inside, some being utterly priceless.

A boy standing at just over 6ft tall, reasonably tall for a boy 10 and 5 name-days old dressed in a short-sleeved tunic wearing a leather cuirass and cam braces, his white tunic contrasted well with his tanned skin, he was very handsome by conventional standards he had violet eyes with a strong jaw. He stood at the entrance to a cave holding a torch.

"Why are we here again Jon" A girl huffs as she stands next to the man being a head shorter than he was, she had similarly tanned skin, and short dark hair, and she wore a nearly transparent yellow dress that went down to her thighs but was cut at the sides to allow for combat, she wore brown breeches with brown boots, she was currently eating an apple wondering why they came to this place.

"I've already told you Tyene, we're being offered 100,000 gold pieces for what's in there" Jon replies to her looking at the attractive girl as juices from the apple spill onto her thick pink lips.

"You know I hate caves" she whines trying to guilt Jon.

"Remind me if I'm wrong but who was it that spent their coin from the last job on some Lynese aphrodisiac then tried to spike me," Jon says as he narrows his eyes at her, she just laughs it off.

"Come on you need to relax once in a while it's always 'ruins' this and 'artefacts' that with you," Tyene says in a mocking voice.

"It didn't work though did it, it was a complete waste of your coin" Jon replies to her.

"Oooh? Then why did you fuck me" Tyene hits back causing Jon to sigh before walking into the cave.

"Let's go we should be out before sunset," Jon says trying to get the job started.

Tyene laughs as she skips along following him into the cave.

"We've gotten lucky, one of my contacts let me know that a recent mining team operating in this area had broken through to the temple below the city, as of this moment they have probably gotten together mercenaries and are pulling away miners from their other operations, so we need to get in there and get out quickly" Jon explains to Tyene.

"Will there at least be some gold we can loot?" Tyene says in a bored tone.

"Most certainly" Jon replies to her, she suddenly perks up and goes ahead of Jon.

"Come on what're you waiting for let's go" she says to Jon as she pulls him further along.

Making their way through the tunnels they finally come to an opening in what looks like a stone wall, climbing through they are met with a large chamber, the walls were painted black except for a large strip in the middle which was red and stretched from the door where you entered the chamber to the end of the room which was devoid of any brickwork, it was just a black wall it looked like the void. On the sides were eight golden pillars which seemed to support the room each having their own torch holder.

The furniture looked completely unused and truly showed a difference in the marksmanship that when compared to now,  rows and rows of red velveted seats with what looked like Ironwood legs to support them. Each other these seats looked like they would cost nearly 500 gold coins each.  But not only that, candle stick holders, and alters were all made of something valuable whether it be platinum gold or marble.

Tyene was mesmerised by the room and all the gold that was in it, but before she could start looting she was grabbed by Jon.

"Tyene focus, job first, loot second" he says sternly to which she nods her head sadly.

"So where is this treasure room supposed to be," Tyene says as she walks around looking around.

Jon opens the journal he was given by his employer, it had a detailed account of the High priest who had managed to escape from the city unharmed though he didn't make it easy as most of his journal was in riddles.

"For treasures untold and beauty to behold I reside with the stars disappearing from the world" Jon read out loud from the priest's journal.

"He sounds crazy to me" Tyene says making Jon chuckle.

"He did worship a vengeful god, he can't have been too sane" Jon adds drawing a laugh from Tyene as she puts one of the smaller gold candle sticks into her knapsack.

Jon was currently trying to figure out what the High priest meant, he was pacing around hitting the book on his hand until he looked up and saw a giant glass focus that seemed to be aimed at the back wall. Jon climbs up over the arch that surrounds the main entrance and looks through the glass, it seems like before the collapse of the mountain this tunnel let in the sunlight at a certain time of day illuminating something.

Rolling off a large piece of cloth he sets it down behind the glass lens, he then uses his torch to set it alight. Looking back down he can see that on the back wall what looks like a map of the night sky is illuminated.

"Wow, so pretty," Tyene says as she looks at all the different constellations of the night sky.

"You can see the shadow cat and even the sword of the morning" she continues pointing at her favourites.

"It is amazing, the Sarnori were truly masters of crafting, it is a shame such a wondrous people were wiped out" Jon says shaking his head as he heads down and approaches the back wall where Tyene was standing.

"So what now, we can see the stars but I don't see any treasure" Tyene comments as she approaches the wall touching the star's illuminated onto it.

Meanwhile, Jon mutters to himself as he tries to think of what he knows about Sarnori history and culture. Pacing around he thinks of astrology and the world as a highly debated topic within the citadel.

But then Jon stops as if he finally has the solution. This less Tyene to sigh as she looked at him.

"I recognise that look, if I have to deal with your smug maester smile again I might punch you," She says making Jon chuckle a bit.

"So are you going to tell me what we have to do," Tyene asks throwing her hands up.

"Savan Ohra" Jon simply says.

"Savan O-who?" Tyene replies with a raised eyebrow.

"Savan Ohra, he was probably one of the most famous Sarnori astronomers, he was in a group called the Tagaez Fen" Jon explains.

"How does this help get our treasure," Tyene asks

"A lot of his findings have been dismissed at the citadel but it was widely believed in Sarnor that the starts followed a rhythmic pattern where they would disappear and reappear in set times, it led them to believe not only is the word not flat but it's a sphere that rotates explaining the disappearing stars" Jon explains as he gets more and more excited.

"I'm still not hearing a solution"

She says impatiently.

"Think about it if the world is a sphere and it rotates and the stars disappear where would they be," Jon asks and suddenly Tyene gets a look of realisation in her eyes.

"Behind us..." she says slowly as Jon claps her on the shoulder.

"So if the stars are illuminated on this side then we need to get behind that wall" Tyene states to which Jon nods his head.

"The Cult of Ankasi were very ceremonial, they believed their god should only walk over the blood of their enemies," Jon says as he looks down to the floor they were on, taking a closer look Tyene realised that the long walkway connecting from the entrance to where they were was not made of paint but blood as she put her hand to it and then sniffed it.

"How could they preserve this for so long," Tyene asks with curiosity.

"The Sarnori were masters in crafting but what they surpassed in crafting was their arts, it's said there were never better artists since the great empire of the dawn" Jon states as he starts feeling around the wall within the boundaries of the red walkway.

"Look for any groves or indents in the wall" Jon asks Tyene who nods and immediately does what he asks.

Jon is feeling near the centre of the wall when he feels his hand go inwards and the clicking of a mechanism, suddenly the part of the wall that they were on spins around taking them into an entirely different room.

Picking up his torch from the floor Jon illuminated the room, they seem to be in a dark corridor the blood-red walkway continuing down the path.

Tyene not thinking walks off the path and steps on a pressure stone, Jon sees this and grabs her and pulls her down before she can be impaled by a spear thrusting from the wall.

"Stay behind me" Jon says to her only getting a rapid succession of nods in return. Jon forges ahead ok the increasingly narrow blood-red path seeing skeletons of people dressed as priests and even some adventurers.

"Seems like we weren't the first ones here," Jon says casually as he looks at the expensively armoured mercenary. Impaled on two spikes that came out the floor but failed to retract.

After what felt like hours of walking they finally came to a fork in the road, the path to the left is the one where the blood path led and the one to the right was covered in normal stone.

"What now" Tyene whispers behind Jon who holds up a hand gesturing to give him a second.

Jon looks through the high priest's journal and is surprised when it tells him to go left.

"Continue on the blood path for you will join our lord" Jon read out loud so that Tyene could hear.

"Great, no Maester-forsaken riddle that makes my head hurt, why can't all ruins be this way," Tyene says as she tries to go past Jon, only for him to hold her back.

"No this isn't right..." Jon says as he mutters to himself thinking at a rapid speed.

"Ankasi is the god of deceit, of leading you astray, walk the blood path and you shall join my lord" Jon says mostly to himself.

"Left is a trap, joining his lord means we die, right is the way to go," Jon says with almost certainty as he steps off the path onto the right-hand corridor, preparing himself to dodge at any minute he feels relief as it turned out he was right relaxing a bit. Walking a bit further down Jon picks up a stone and throws it onto the left path only for more spikes to launch out of the wall.

"Let's keep going we're close," Jon says to Tyene as they keep walking down. They finally make it to what looks like a big vault as there is a door that seems to be made of stone. Touching it Jon realises it's made of sandstone a very lightweight stone, he tries to push open the gate but it's solid. At the side of the gate is what looks like a massive bowl with a hole in the middle. Jon puts the torch close and looks inside seeing metal circular discs which seemed to be attached each one rolling the next one forward.

"Tyene push on the gate for me," Jon asks her which she promptly does.

Jon sees the circular discs attempt to move but are stuck together. Jon looks up and sees the writing above, he uses his hand to wipe away the dust and cobwebs.

"The writing seems to predate Sarnori, it looks a lot like the Shadow tongue" Jon says out loud.

"Do you know what it says?" Tyene asks testing her back against the wall and taking a swig from her water skin.

"I didn't manage to learn much of the Shadow tongue from Marwyn but I did pick up a bit," Jon says as he looks closely at the words.

"Eztil Vermana" Jon states out loud.

"What does it mean," Tyene asks curiously as she steps to Jon's side.

"Blood Sacrifice" Jon repeats before taking his dagger from his belt, he slices his hand open bleeding directly into the hole.

He then goes back to the wall and attempts to push it open, this time it gives way almost opening.

"Bleed into the hole we almost got it open," Jon says to Tyene who gives him a dirty look.

"You want me to slice my hand open, not happening" She simply says.

"There's gold behind here..." Jon says and before he knows it she's already bleeding into the hole Jon manages to push open the gate fully.

They find themselves in what could only be described as a room full of precious gold and gems and weapons that were works of art. Tyene immediately started filling her knapsack.

"Take precious stones they're worth more" Jon shouts at her as he walks to the back of the treasury room.

What is there can only be described as a work of pure beauty, Jon was completely enraptured in it that he didn't even notice when Tyene came and stood next to him.

"What is it..." Tyene whispers in awe.

"Ankasi Ackfirur," Jon says in a whisper.

"One of the most famous pieces of art in essos, it translates to Ankasi apocalypse" Jon continues.

"It is a depiction of how the cult believed the world would end" The image depicted a scene of blood-red rivers, men in golden armour that had snake symbols on them being cut down by those in black armour with the symbol of Ankasi.

"How is the paint shining so much," Tyene asks as she runs her fingers along it.

"It's not painted, this is why Sarnor was considered the best there ever was at art, they created an alchemical technique to liquefy gold and precious stone while the substance remained cold, and here it is producing some of the greatest art pieces we will ever see," Jon says as he takes it from the frame and rolls it up carefully placing it into his knapsack.

"As much fun as it is here we need to leave, we need to get back to the boat before we run into mercenaries again," Jon says seriously as they both get ready to move out.

(Entrance of the cave)

Tyene and Jon had made it out of the cave twice as fast as they got in making sure to take away any evidence that they were there, though it all felt for nought as at the entrance of the cave three mercenaries stood guard as if waiting for them, one of them Jon knew very well.

"Well well, Jon Snow, Bastard scholar, Adventurer and according to the ruling family in Westeros a scheming no-good Blackyre out to steal the Throne" The man said with a cocky smile on his face, making his two guards laugh.

"Daario Naharis, Drunken Sellsword, Average Adventurer, and according to a lot of children running around Tyrosh, Father" Jon bites back causing Daario to laugh a bit.

"It's nice of you to meet me out here Daario, but I'm sure you want to have quality time with your two sons here, or did you not tell them you've been fucking their mothers" Jon continues causing the two guards to draw blades until Daario stops them holding his arms across them.

"While I do love your quips Jon you know what I'm here for, empty the bags" Daario says getting straight to the point.

"The second sons have been hired by the merchant who owns this land, we're to make sure it all stays where it is, though I suppose I could pocket some of the things you've got," Daario says with a cocky smirk.

Jon looks at Tyene and then gives her a signal with a hand gesture, she nods and Jon reaches for his knapsack as if he was going to remove it, however, he secretly reached into a small pouch on his belt and removed a spherical object from within.

"While it's been nice catching up again  I think I'll have to leave you here," Jon says as he throws the object at the feet of the two men creating a flash and then an explosion of smoke, Tyene and Jon both had their eyes closed so they were spared from the effects.

"AHHHH"

"FUCK!!"

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU JON"

The three men screamed out as they were temporarily blinded, Jon grabbed Tyenes hand as he led her to the edge of the giant hill they were on, the path down was steep as it led to a small forest which contained the river that their boat was anchored.

Jon leads Tyene up to the highest point of the hill, where he had stashed something he was planning on testing, Tyene had seen what this was and Jon had told her what it did.

"No no no no, you are crazy I'm not getting on that" Tyene said rapidly shaking her head.

"Well, it's either this or the second sons," Jon says as he quickly unfolds his creation, a wooden frame with a silk membrane forming the shape of a wing, handles unfolded from above giving whoever rode it somewhere to place their hands and feet.

"Fine but I'm on top tonight got it," Tyene says pointing a finger at Jon.

"Fine, but we both know you'll end up at the bottom" Jon says with a smirk as he slaps her thick cheeks making them ripple, she blushes a bit but still gives Jon a sultry smile.

"JON!!!" A shout was heard from right behind them, Jon turned around to see Dario with a look of complete rage on his face as he climbed up the steep hill on all fours like an animal.

"Better luck next time Dario must hurt always losing to someone so young" Jon says with a wink as he pulls Tyene close and he runs off the hill. The contraption Jon had created holds steady as it keeps them airborne as they float over the forest and towards their boat.

While Jon was having a great time Tyene screamed the entire way. They eventually managed to land in a small patch of land that wasn't covered in trees, Jon looks up to the big hill they were on and sees Dario's small figure and gives him a mock salute.

"Wasn't a bad first test but didn't stay in the air for as long as I'd hoped" Jon says to himself.

"Wait you said you already tested this many times" Tyene shouts at him in disbelief.

"A small exaggeration" Jon admits with a helpless smile.

Forming a fist to punch him she stops herself and just points her finger at him "I want you to use your mouth on me tonight" Tyene says to him, Jon pulls her close and kisses her, his tongue slipping into her mouth causing her to groan in pleasure, after a while he withdraws from her mouth.

"Not the right place, but it's a start" she whispers her face flushed. Jon smirks at her and then gets to packing away his contraption, before they both head to the small ship they had anchored.

(Ship)

They had set off and were now heading for the open water before they sailed down south to Pentos, Jon was in his Cabin below the wheel of the ship he had the painting over his desk and was looking at it in amazement,

'Being able to liquefy diamond and other precious stones to create such pieces of art' Jon says as he runs his fingers over the painting.

"Is the Maester finally done with his work or is he too busy to research the body" he hears Tyene say opposite his desk is a door leading to his chambers that contain his bed and dresser one he shares with Tyene.

She had come out of the room completely unclothed, she had a sexy smirk on her face her skin was smooth and glistened as she has just washed herself, and her breasts while not the biggest were more than enough for Jon's hands and had dark nipples that were already erect, looking down further Jon saw her toned stomach from a life of learning how to fight.

At the bottom of this Dornish goddess was a patch of deep black hair that covered what Jon buried himself in at every opportunity, making her stance wider Jon could see her sex was already wet as the inside of her thighs glistened.

Not staying idle any longer Jon removed his shirt showing tanned skin full of muscles that only seemed to make Tyene wetter, he grabbed her close and pulled her into a kiss, she wrapped her legs around him rubbing her sex onto Jon's already erect length, Jon could feel the juices from her already invading his breaches, he took her into his chambers and threw her into the bed and quickly getting rid of his boots and breeches.

He collapses onto Tyene kissing her one's again revelling in her taste as their tongues battled each other in a quest for dominance, Jon moved outside kissing down onto her neck sucking it, inhaling her natural scent which felt intoxicating to him, all the whole she moans at the attention she's receiving, Jon bites hard into her knock making tighten her grip on his hair as well as wrapping her legs around him when more, Jon can feel how hot and wet her cunt is, he wants to emerge himself in the tightness once again but controls himself as he kisses down her body, paying special attention to her nipples causing her to moan as she grips onto the sides of the beds.

She's grinding her sex on Jon's erect cock in an attempt to orgasm but he moves away, placing his face down by her thighs, his tongue emerges from his mouth giving her sex an experimental lick.

"Ahhhhh!" Tyene shouts out as she feels a jolt of pleasure from what Jon did.

Jon does it again but slowly, and in a constant motion, tasting the sweet nectar dripping from her sex the sounds she makes are music to his ears, and she starts to moan louder and louder so at the last second Jon speeds up and goes even harder causing her entire body to tremble and fluids to erupt from her sex, Jon goes back up towards Tyenes face as she looks flushed but as a pleasant smile on his face.

"None of the girls back in Dorne even come close to you," Tyene says as she pecks Jon on the lips.

With a smile Jon rubs his cock again Tyenes dripping wet sex, she instinctively widens her legs as Jon lines up his cock and thrusts his hips forward.

"Mmmmmm" Tyene coos as she revels in the feeling of Jon filling her up.

Jon feels the muscles inside of Tyene pulse, being as short as she was her vagina was very tight, if she wasn't as wet as she was Jon didn't know if he'd be able to move.

Jon pulls out until only the head of his cock remains and then thrusts it back in all at once, eliciting a pleasurable scream from Tyene, Jon keeps thrusting into her his penis melting in the warm velvety embrace of her sex while Tyene goes over the edge again her sex contracting making it even tighter for Jon who groans at the feeling. Holding her close he sticks his tongue back in her mouth as she wraps her legs around him, her soft heels digging into his backside encouraging him to go even harder.

Jon accepts the challenge as he picks up the pace his balls heavy with seed slapping against Tyenes thick backside, Jon feels himself approach the end and he grabs Tyenes legs before putting them over his shoulders, he pushes his cock as deep as it'll go, this makes Tyenes eyes roll back as she screams in pleasure.  Jon thrusts again and again in this position kissing Tyene then kissing her leg and foot until he can't hold it anymore.

With a roar Jon erupts into Tyene his balls expanding and contracting as he unloads his seed directly into her womb, he feels eight shots go straight into her before it stops and he can safely take it out.

He removes himself from her before lying next to her, she cuddles up close to him laying on his toned chest.

"I don't suppose they taught you that at the Citadel" Tyene jokes as she kisses Jon's chest.

"I'm surprised you didn't know, All Maesters are masters of the love arts" Jon jokes back causing her to giggle.

Feeling Tyenes soft skin and erect nipples on his body Jon couldn't bell but get hard again.

"Someone's still ready," she says as she bites his ear.

"Can you blame me" Jon replies?

"Good because I'm on top this time," Tyene says before getting on top of Jon and penetrating herself with his cock.

(Pentos)

"You know I still can't believe we only got 100,000 gold pieces for that painting" Tyene says as they walk out of their employers Manse with a chest full of gold.

"You said it was priceless did you not? Why do we accept so little for it?" Tyene asks Jon as they start to head back towards the Inn they rented.

"It is, but I'm afraid a painting is still a painting, the raw materials to make it would've probably been about 1% of what we got paid, Art will only be worth what people think it is worth in the end," Jon says as he shrugs his shoulders.

"Though at least we got an extra 5,000 from the stones we took," Jon says trying to cheer her up.

"It'll be Dornish red, pastries and living like a lord until I blow all my coin" Tyene shouts out proudly making Jon chuckles.

They reach the Inn they are staying at and hide the chest beneath a few loose floorboards in their room. They were currently sitting downstairs eating dinner and drinking arguing over which city to visit next.

"Lys, pleasure houses are said to have the finest women in Essos" Tyene shouts slamming her drink down on the table.

"Myr produce the best glass in essos I'd be a fool not to fry and steal their technique," Jon says as he slams his cup down.

"Come on Jon are you saying you'd rather spend time with some old craftsman when you could be having me and a beautiful white-haired woman at the same time," Tyene says in a sultry voice.

"Excuse me, My lord"

"I can fuck you with a whore in Myr why is Lys so special," Jon asks her.

"They are the Maesters of sexual knowledge, I want to know what they do" Tyene replies.

"Excuse me"

"I'm sure your father has plenty of notes written down, I doubt there isn't a whore house in Westeros or Essos that does not reserve a bed for him" Jon replies with a chuckle.

"EXCUSE ME"

Snapping out of their conversation they look up to see a tall dark skinned man dressed in peculiar clothes they hadn't seen before, next to him standing just below his shoulders was a young woman lighter than the man she stood next to, she had very curly hair that frizzed outwards, her chest was large for she seemed to be of similar age of Jon and Tyene, her biggest asset was her large hips going down into juicy thighs.

"Can we help you?" Tyene asks annoyed at the interruption.

"I would like a moment of your time Maester Snow," The man says.

"Take a seat but please do not call me Maester, I serve no lord and don't plan on returning to the citadel" he says wincing at being called Maester.

"Very well," the man says as he takes a seat with the girl next to him.

"How can I be of service," Jon says exaggeratedly, though the man just gives a small smile and ignores him.

"I am King Mordo of Naath, and this is my Daughter Missandei, I am here because I've heard good things about you," The man says shocking Jon and Tyene.

Snapping himself out of his shock Jon looks at the large man "What do you want" Jon asks narrowing his eyes at him.

"I would like for you to acquire a certain lost object," Mordo says quietly. Jon doesn't say anything and waits for the man to continue.

"The Chalice of Winter," He says quietly.

The mood suddenly breaks as Jon erupts into laughter almost falling out of his chair.

"You had me going, thank you I needed a good laugh" Jon says as he wipes tears from his eyes.

"This is far from a joke my friend" Mordo says his serious expression never changing, Jon loses his smile and sighs.

"Then you're a fool, or you've been reading too many bedtime stories" Jon replies.

"What is the Chalice of Winter," Tyene asks curiously.

"It is a fairytale nothing more" Jon says dismissing it.

"It is far more than that my friend, the Chalice of Winter is said to be an Artefact of the gods" Mordo says with excitement in his eyes.

"You're wrong," Jon says with a sigh.

"The real story goes back thousands of years ago, though the details of what exactly happened are not known, some say the old gods descended and granted the Artefact, some say the last hero carved out the heart of the great other before forging it into the Chalice of Winter, no one knows," Jon says with a shrug as he takes a sip from his drink.

"But what is known is that this Artefact was given to Brandon the builder who used it to create the wall" Jon continued.

"A single drop of water spilt from the cup as the potential to freeze the coast of a small beach, or so the legends say, but after Brandon died the cup was lost with him" Jon says ending the story.

"That is where you are wrong my friend" Mordo states with a grin as he brings out an old journal.

"This is the diary of a famous Targaryen, I believe you call her Daenys the dreamer" he says shocking both Tyene and Jon.

"In this, she wrote of dreams she had most famously the doom, but before that she wrote of other dreams she had, one's of men who had no face stealing a cup that was used to place the mountain to sleep, not long after this is when the doom occurred" he continues.

"You believe the Valyrians used the Chalice of Winter to stop their fire mountains from erupting," Jon asks to which the man nodded.

"Even if that is true it doesn't help us, all we know is where it was 400 years ago" Jon states.

"I managed to find more evidence" Mordo replies to Jon.

"We believed that the Chalice was kept in bravos until it was bought by some minor northern lord due to its resemblance to ice, he then came back to Westeros and showed its abilities though he didn't understand them, It then ended up getting the attention of the man known as Bloodraven, with his thousand and one eyes he already knew the history of the cup and wanted such power to be with the throne" Mordo explains.

"But when the Nothern lord was summoned to king landing he was ambushed by a Wildling raiding party who took the cup back over the wall, with Bloodraven following along not long after" Mordo concludes.

"That is not a lead, saying a cup the size of my hand is somewhere beyond the wall is still not helpful" Jon replies getting ready to dismiss the man.

"Please!" The man shouts out.

"I need the chalice it's the last hope I have for my people," Mordo says bowing his head low.

"The fire mountain under Naath has awoken, it takes up nearly half of our island, we would be destroyed if it erupted," Mordo says with trembling words.

"Why not leave," Tyene asks as she looks at the humbled man.

"My people are peaceful, we do not fight or harm others, but I know others do not share the same beliefs, my people would suffer and be exploited anywhere else, on Naath we have protection" Mordo says to which Jon Nods in understanding.

"What're you paying," Jon asks taking a swig of his drink.

"An entire ship filled with gold, silks stones, any treasure of Naath is yours" Mordo says without hesitation.

Jon sighs he feels like this will be another wild goose chase, he looks at Tyene who looks eager for the Job after hearing how much it payed.

"Alright you have a deal, but you'll upfront all of our travel and equipment costs" Jon says to him which Mordo nods happily before bringing Jon into a hug.

"Thank you my friend thank you" Mordo says almost getting teary eyed.

"Yeah yeah don't worry big guy" Jon says patting him on the back. Before sensing danger behind him he pushes Mordo and by extension Missandei off the table, avoiding crossbow bolts hitting them.

Jon rolling backward gets up and draws a short sword he had sheathed just below his back, Tyne does the same only drawing two daggers.

Three men in hoods wearing all black can be seen at the entrance of the Inn, lucky or unluckily it was empty so there wasn't a panic, Jon narrows his eyes as he looks at his attackers, they take their hoods off revealing scaled and Rocky skin.

"The shrouded lord wants the chalice Mordo, give him what you've gathered and you will not be killed" the man with stoney skin states in a monotone voice.

"I refuse, this is my life's work and I will use it to save my people" Mordo states before trying to get up only to fall back down again. It seems Jon wasn't fast enough as a crossbow bolt is sticking out of his side.

"Father!" Missandei screams as she runs to his side.

Meanwhile Jon and Tyene are focusing on their enemies.

"Greyscale" She says simply.

"Don't let them touch you" Jon says to her which she gives a simple nod.

"Get the journal" the leader says to which his companions just grow and charge.

Jon kicks a chair at the one on his side tripping the infected man over, with a quick thrust he stabs him in the head.

Tyene simply pulls a throwing knife from her belt and throws it at the approaching man hitting him right in the eye, he collapses like a puppet with his strings cut.

The leader of the group growls before drawing his own sword, though it is of low quality, he charges Jon and swings at him, Jon easily dodged and goes to counter attack but as to step back as he's almost grabbed on the face with the man's stony hand.

'Seems he's smarter than the other two' Jon thinks to himself.

Jon brings his sword up to the right and swings at him slowly with a wide arc, this wasn't meant to be a finishing attack but it did distract the man as his head turns towards the sword involuntarily giving Jon time to draw his dagger stabbing him in the back of the head.

Wiping his sword on the man's clothes he then remembers Mordo is injured, and runs next to him. Looking at the location of the wound Jon can tell that it's bad, he has no equipment to treat him and moving him around will just kill him faster, as of now he will bleed out in the next few minutes.

"Father please don't leave me" Missandei says with teary eyes as she holds her fathers head.

"It'll be okay my daughter, I'll be joining Harmony soon" he whispers out.

"Jon take my journal, please find the chalice, Missandei is the ruler now, she will make sure you are paid" Mordo says as he pushes his journal into Jon's chest.

"I'll do my best, don't worry you've hired the best man for the job" Jon says with a small smile trying to give the man some relief before the end.

It works as the man dies with a smile on his face. Jon doesn't want to tarry not knowing if more people would be after them.

"Missandei, Tyene go upstairs and get our stuff and meet me on the ship, I'll. carry Mordos body so at least you can administer your people's burial rites" Jon says to them eliciting a grateful smile from Missandei.

"Alright let's go"

(AN: So first chapter of my new game of thrones adventure book, think of it as Game of thrones with uncharted of Indiana jones style adventures, it's more of a pet project so it won't get as regular updates as my main one, depends on how many people like this chapter)
