Problem?

When the gods asked, the arena was silent. They were curious what he was going to ask. The gods were really powerful, so whatever a mana gathering stage magus could ask for them, they could give.

Leon already had something on his mind as they asked, so he didn't waste too much time.

"I want my problem to be solved." said Leon. He didn't know what was the reason for the gods to focus on him, but if it was a problem that they could see, he wanted them to solve it. If it wasn't a problem and only they saw that he was reincarnated with his memories intact, it wasn't a real loss for him. He didn't have anything on his mind to ask from them.

"What is your problem?" asked one of the gods.

"If I could tell, seniors, you would tell easily." said Leon without batting an eyelid. He really didn't know, but he could tell that they knew his problem, if there was one. He had one chance to ask, so he didn't ask if he had a problem or what was his problem. He only asked for them to solve his problem.

There were spectators who heard them, so the gods had to do something. If other domain stage maguses were to be asked to solve his problem, they didn't have to solve, but it was different for the domain stage maguses who choose the way of a god. They needed the beliefs of the masses, so they had to show their power to gain it. If they were alone when Leon asked, they might decline. The reason for them to ask when everybody was here, to show their might and benevolence. When they would grant one wish, that would further improve their image as gods.

Leon didn't show, but his heart was pounding. If the gods were to solve his problem, that means his reincarnation wasn't a lottery, but designed, and that design would have a purpose. Leon didn't have a guess what was the purpose. If someone was powerful enough to temper with reincarnation, Leon couldn't know what their purpose, if something has done to him.

Leon was waiting for the gods to speak. As the silence continued, Leon noticed that he couldn't hear any sound from the spectators, so he looked around to notice that there was a barrier around him and the gods. Leon immediately understood the reason and his heart went cold.

"You can't solve my problem."

"Yes, you're right. We've already talked between us and noticed that none of us could solve your problem."

Leon didn't know his problem, but at least he knew that he had one now, and his problem couldn't be solved by domain stage maguses. He felt despair, feeling that someone did something to him and he didn't even know what it was, was despairing.

"While we can't solve it, it doesn't mean we can't hide you from the one who did it." said one of them.

["That's great, aside from something have done to me, I was marked too."] thought Leon, but nodded.

"You seem like a smart guy, you would know what you had to do." continued. Of course, Leon understood what he had to do, so he nodded again.

Seeing Leon nodded, one of them pulled a paper from nowhere and started to write. After finishing it, gave it to him. Leon read it carefully. It was an agreement that stated; Leon would tell outside that the gods have solved his problem and in turn the gods would hide Leon's soul. The durance of the hiding wouldn't come to end, if Leon didn't say that his problem wasn't solved.

Leon didn't have any problem with the contract, so he bit his finger and smear it to the paper, then he gave it to the gods. They also signed with their bloods, then they chanted with a language unknown to Leon.

Leon waited in front of them. He was feeling upset, but not the gods. They wouldn't make an agreement if they had a solution for his problem. The contract also didn't mention about his problem in specific, that meant the gods also didn't know what it was, but they knew that he was marked and they solved it. That meant his problem half-solved. He didn't know who did something to him, but he knew that in order to solve his problem he needed to have knowledge and power. If he had the power and knowledge, he could've solved his problem without any help.

When the gods finished their chant, they clapped their hands one time and hold their hands in front of them like they were praying, then a light come from their body and hovered above their heads. Leon didn't move and watched them. The eyes of the gods were closed like they were focusing, as the time passed the lights that hovering above their heads, grew brighter. When the lights became dazzling to the blinding degree, the gods opened their eyes and pointed to Leon.

Like they were ordered, the lights flew to Leon and entered his body. The gods were looking tired after they did that, but Leon didn't feel anything different. He felt upset again, If he were to feel anything, that meant the problem wasn't unimaginably big, but now he didn't even know what to learn and how strong that he had to be. The gods didn't talk and disappeared, Leon bowed where they stood to show his thanks.

Leon didn't immediately turned because his face was looking like he swallowed a fly. He breathed a few times and relaxed his face muscles, even slapped his cheeks, then he turned to face with the spectators. His face was smiling.

Cale, Casper, Theo and Hermes came to him, Leon just patted Hermes' head and answered their questions about his problem. He said his problem solved and there wasn't anything to worry about while thanking gods for solving it.

From their talking, Leon learned that aside from hearing what they were talking, they didn't see that they signed the contract, they only saw that after they talked the gods made a spell and it entered his body, then a black mist come out of his pores.

["Of course they would hide the contract."] Leon thought.

After they talked a bit, light came from the ground and widen to the sides. Leon knew that the trials of gods ended. They walked to the light while they were talking.

"Cale, when I gathered the materials for my spear, where can I find you?"

"Dawn mountain, you can find me there. Don't forget to bring the gold."

"Alright, I won't." said Leon.

"Will you come with us to the fief?" asked Theo. Leon shook his head.

"No, I want to find materials for my spear, you and Casper already solved your problems. Just don't forget to gather eye techniques and prepare the papers about the store that I want to open your fief. I'll visit after I finish my work." said Leon.

As they talked they came in front of the gate and passed through it. When they arrived to the Gate City, Leon bade his farewells to the others and mounted to Hermes and flew to the nearest dungeon that he had to clear. He was feeling like he needed to discharge his anger to the monsters.
