129 Chapter XXVII: A Game of Generals [6]

As the ramblings of the peasants rang through her ears, Hilith chose to ignore them and sprinted towards the camp. Before she reached the tent, she was able to perceive the width of the bridge, which she discerned to be able to fit two wagons side by side. Such seemingly trivial matter held utmost importance in these types of circumstances, for she knew one of the vital elements of war was the terrain. Another component which held importance was time, and it was indeed of the essence as she only had a couple of hours to make use of what she had. Entering the camp and brushing off the flap to the canvas away, she proceeded to rummage through the crates, noticing a mixture of iron tools designed for agriculture, wood cutting and even fishery. With a few seconds spent on scanning the room for the tool she most deemed necessary for her act, she scurried back and forth in the tent in search of it. Finally, she found it– a shovel.
