114 Chapter XXV: Reason, Treason and Execution [2]

As the Lord General of the Regalian Standing Army strode with a proud bearing across the halls of Walruse Castle, he caught a glimpse of a daunting figure at the end of the corridor where the door to the audience hall was attached. It was a man, seven feet tall, clad in a black suit of plate armor, a shield strapped upon his back and a mace suspended upon his waist. As he walked briskly in a hurry to meet the Duke's son, he was promptly halted with the gigantic knight blocking his way as he tried to reach for the door, his eyebrows meeting upon the sudden interruption. As his tendency to be irascible threatened to be let loose, his body suddenly jolted as he realized the overawing size and presence of the knight, whom he failed to recognize to belong to the castle guards of Walruse Castle nor the City Watch of Regalia.
