Allen could only smile at the elder giant that was doing its' best to help Addy get a good deal, "Elder you don't have to worry much about getting wolves. I plan to keep at most three wolves that I summon. The rest will go to Addy here as she needs them to help her start out."

The other giants all had shining eyes as they looked at the wolves that would soon be their compatriots. Allen didn't hesitate to order seven of the wolves to stay here and follow Addy's orders. Other than the elder, the other giants all seemed to want to pet the wolves as soon as possible, even going as far as trying to call them over to their side using strange commands that they probably used on other Giant Wolves from their home world.

The elder's eyes seemed to be able to see through his soul as he nodded in a way that Allen hadn't thought possible. After all, their lips don't move and they usually turn their entire bodies instead of turning their heads. "I hope this partnership shall be a great help to both sides."

"Elder I know you care deeply about your Lord, so I suggest you ask her about everything on our agreement, just know for now that I have great future potential and will be a great ally in the future. I also wish for this great relationship to carry on in the future."

The elder seemed to finally lose his serious voice, "Well then, as allies, I would like to thank you on behalf of my lord." The elder then put his hand on his chest as a sign of his acknowledgment.

After waving goodbye to leave them to their own discussion, Allen soon arrived at his camp with three Giant Wolves. One for each person he knows by name. The camp was filled with people who were all doing their best to gather all the resources around. Allen also felt gratified as several people almost stopped what they were doing to gawk at the Giant Wolves.

Before the camp was in an area with thick vegetation and so many trees that it made it hard to walk around after leaving the housing area. The building of the house and Warehouse didn't help either as the trees were not removed but instead moved out of the way to make the area even thicker in trees and vegetation. Arriving at the meeting/his room, he could hear a loud argument inside.

"What do you mean we ignore it?! If we ignore it, how long will our Lord's protection last till they attack us?! You can see he had already put that wooden house to increase our protection against the beasts, but here you stand and claim we should wait!" (Orion)

"YES! Wait until the protection will wear off and then attack! If we need we can ask the Earth Giant to aid us. She has become the Lord's subordinate anyway, so why shouldn't she aid us!" (Henry)

"You think this is some type of joke! We can't look weak in front of such a giant! If we show we need her strength this time, then the next time she will be able to control us easily! We cannot show such weakness in front of other races, even subordinate races!" (Orion)

"Calm down! You both just need to wait till the Lord makes a decision! We don't need to worry so much. The Lord will lead us to the right decision every time!" (Derek)

"Derek, although I do agree we will need to wait until the Lord gives us his blessing, but~ if we show the Lord we can't even make a simple decision without him then we will be the first to be replaced! The Lord has given us our tasks and given us this power, if we don't show our worth, then what is the point?" (Orion)

"As much as I hate to admit it, Orion is correct. We are currently temporary leaders, and while the Lord isn't leading, must make decisions, not on his behalf but to show him we are capable. Derek, you aren't like us, you are a guard and don't have to lead people. This is the first decision we can make on our own before the Lord arrives. This is important, and even more important we wait." (Henry)

Orion sneered, "Wait? HOW LONG! How long can you really expect to wait?! I believe we should have at most today and tomorrow at the longest before the protection wears off. Of course, it could be longer, but I believe everything has a purpose! The Lord put another wooden house similar to the one he built on the first day we were summoned. It was on the second day, he put up another similar house. I saw with my own eyes how exactly the protection scared the beasts. So! Henry, USE YOUR GOD D*MN BRAIN AND GET READY TO ATTACK!" (Orion)

"You act like the great Lord would not be able to summon another wooden house again. SO! How about you use your brain and have more faith in our Lord."(Henry)

Allen on the other side of the wooden door was quite enjoying the argument without him there since before when he gave orders or talked about something, they would at most say one small comment about what they thought would be best. Now with the three arguing without him as a mediator, he could finally learn what personalities his subordinates actually had.

"Are you guys just going to glare at each other until the Lord arrives instead of making the 'decision' you both so badly wanted to figure out?"(Derek)

Allen, having spent the entire time standing at the door and eavesdropping decided that this was the perfect time to enter and break up the stalemate fight.

"So who are we fighting and why?" Pushing open the door Allen interrupted the two men's staring contest.

Both Orion and Henry looked like children caught doing something naughty as they both put on a respectful expression before falling to the flow and kowtowing to him. Derek who was a neutral party in all of this only put on a respectful expression and bowed.

"Welcome, Lord." (Derek)

"Lord!" x2

The three quickly realized that their Lord had heard at least part of their argument which would include their yelling at each other. Derek as the neutral party was the only one to report everything.

"Lord, sir Henry and Orion have found a bear den nearby. When they discovered the bear we at first believed it would have been only one big bear, but after checking the area we discovered that there are at least five big bears guarding an area near the southwest of our territory.

We believe they had been living near or in our territory and because of the protection that you have created, they were forced out and they most likely will attack after it wears off. We have identified them as terrifying Plant Bears which, according to Orion, can use the lives of all nearby plantlife to increase their attack and defense."

Allen was soon consumed by his own thoughts as he thought about what he should do. Orion and Henry who were both still on the floor full kowtow looked at each other as if they were wondering what they should do now that the Lord had completely ignored them.

'He definitely wants to get rid of us now that we argued so much' Both he and Henry thought the same in regret as their Lord still stayed in silence without even acknowledging their existence.

After the longest 5 minutes of Henry and Orion's life, Allen finally made a decision, "Come follow me, everyone."

Soon Allen walked out of the house where three Giant Wolves were all still standing proud waiting for their master. Everyone's jaws dropped as they looked at the huge wolves that all turned excited seeing Allen again.

"These are the wolves I have summoned. If they aren't enough I can just temporarily get back the other seven wolves I gifted to Addy." Just as he was speaking Allen suddenly remembered he had bought another Vitality Stone last night and could upgrade the Giant Wolf summoning circle, "...Or I can summon one more powerful."

Allen quickly led the group to the place where the Giant Wolf summoning circle was. Without any hesitation or even waiting for things to calm down, Allen took out the other Vitality Stone and held it up ready to use it...

[(Giant Wolf Summoning Circle) is incompatible with (Vitality Stone (Material))]

"Eh..."

This was the first time another of the same stone didn't work and greatly surprised Allen, but still, he quickly woke up, "Henry, how much food did you obtain during this last hunt?"

Henry still embarrassed and shocked by the wolf bowed deeply before replying, "Lord we have about 3,000 food."

This number would have seemed great, but now that he had three huge wolves that all ate around 2,000 units of food a month, it all seemed too little. A single day of hunting no longer seemed to be enough to feed everyone for a full month like before. The last time he bought a Dire Wolf Summoning Circle it had cost him a full 2,000 food. He was now a little apprehensive to spend that much on the circle with such high maintenance costs.

Allen stood still hesitating for a good 10 minutes before he decided not to buy another Dire Wolf Summoning Circle. After all, he recently learned he could upgrade units directly, and since he had a spare stone, and a good wolf candidate, he may as well test how effective such a transformation was. After you can't truly understand something by words alone unless you experience it.

Allen no longer hesitated and turned to Almos who had been following him enjoying its' master's company. "Almos, you shall be the first to experience this transformation, and you shall become something stronger than you had ever thought possible."

Almos cutely turned its' head as if confused, but Allen didn't hesitate and accepted the prompt. He had only seen for the first time earlier today.

[Upgrade (Dire Wolf) -> (Giant Wolf (Enhanced))]

[Note: Not as efficient as upgrading a whole summoning circle, but will allow for more power.]
