"I will be leaving then". With a flick of my fin, I warp away, whisking me back to where I was in the trench. I look around to see if it has been reoccupied by anything strange, but I see nothing.

'Well, now that that is over, I can start exploring and see what I can find. Once I get past the trench, I can already see the ending border of it, so it shouldn't take long'.

'let's also get through this quickly as even with all the knowledge the library of this world gives, it mainly just variation or slight differences, so it would be better to head straight towards the ice caps than leave this planet for the next.'

I then rocket forward and occasionally teleport through several different biomes, letting me see several different types of animals. Still, the similarities are too close to gain anything new as I continue to warp and dash toward the ice caps.

'finally, I'm here, so this shouldn't take long as I want to speed run this area and see if I can fist fight Godzilla.' I then start to swim forward at incredible speeds while I enter the Lilypad Islands and spread my senses across the entire biome.

'let's start the fun part.' I then began to warp and rush towards anything I knew could be helpful to me or was new to my knowledge without checking the library.

As I finish swallowing a glow whale, I feel my head burn as small horns grow in. These horns make it easier to sense sound waves in the water and better distinguish between what's what.

'of course, of everything I ate, only that was useful, it's a damn good thing I'm speeding through this place.' I speed into the purple vents and immediately swallow a Cryptosuchus.

'why was it so small.' I feel a slight burn around my body as it starts to suck some of the warmth from the vents into my body and causing my internal and outer temperature to skyrocket.

'Well, at least he was useful.' I then burst forward again towards a chelicerate and sliced through him like his butter while instantly cooking him.

'well, at least the trip will be quicker than I expected.' I then started tearing into it and even eating the plating, which was easy to bite like a Ritz cracker.

'wow, they are a disappointment meant in real life as well, I see.' I swim out of the purple vents and straight for the East Arctic to find something useful over there.

'Finally, something good.' I focus on a leviathan that looks like a close relative of the sea dragon leviathan, though highly adapted to the harsh cold water.

'what's even better is that according to the library, it can breathe out liquid helium, which can freeze just about everything besides those of the same species.' I then rushed forward from behind it and quickly cut its head off.

'sadly, quick but definitely worth it.' I then start shredding into the body of the dead leviathan and eating everywhere where the organ that produces the liquid helium is so as not to freeze my body solid.

Frostbite Leviathan DNA

Mutations Gained: Liquid Helium Organ

As I finish swallowing the organ, I feel my entire body flash freeze itself as my body is encased in ice. My internal body temperature then drops to below freezing and continues to fall more and more, but my heart continues to beat.

After an unknown amount of time, the ice encasing me starts to crack and then shatter as my body is shown as a deep azure blue with a black underbelly while flashing hints of royal purple and a crimson red flash around my body.

While my back spines and dorsal fin are surrounded by frozen spikes, which make a screeching sound as they rub against each other, while the elbows of my fins grow ice spikes that can be superheated without melting.

'Now, this is an upgrade.' I look over the changes and see that my fins and legs have merged, decreasing my swimming momentum but still remaining relatively the same.

'Well, every change has at least a small downside, though I can adjust to this.' I say as I push my body forward, my hands clashing against the ice, and climb up the iceberg.

'I take back the idea of this being a downside as this is awesome.' I then continued to climb up the iceberg until the top and looked over the surroundings as the harsh winds hit my body, though I felt like a spring breeze.

'Now, to continue because fighting Godzilla like this makes us look like cousins, and I don't want to look like the love child of Godzilla and Shimo forever.' I jump off the iceberg and dive into the water.

'well, I have gained everything that is useful here besides the frozen leviathan, and at this point, his species should barely be living, so I will eat him instead of his struggling family.'

I then start to swim towards the west Arctic, climb up the glacial wall, and run atop it. I get towards the glacial basin and jump as I turn into a skyray and soar down towards the future excavation site.

'I love it when it's quick and easy, ' I say as I shift back into my normal body. I then start clawing against the ice, opening a passage into the cave, and seeing the frozen leviathan.

'let's try something before I outright eat this man, as he should be suitably preserved.' I start to charge up some electricity and then blast it toward the frozen leviathan, causing the entire cave to shake but also melt the surrounding ice and cause it to evaporate, causing a steam explosion.

'Well, not the effect I wanted, but now it will make it easier to eat him.' I start to walk to the once encased leviathan that now lays dead on the floor, but its body suddenly twitches.

'nope, I'm not testing that. I don't care; I have enough to deal with in the crater.' I pierced the frozen leviathan's head with one of my claws through his eyes and started eating him.

Mutations Gained: Battering Horns

I feel my head burn as I finish swallowing the infected frozen leviathan. My horns start to spiral around my head and point forward like that of a mountain sheep.

'Well, this is cool as hell. I can now just ram into things and give them the world's worst concussion.' As I look over my new horns, I see the feature of them spiraling into themselves, letting them pierce better and making them more solid.

'but on a side note, that should be everything for here as al-an should be fine, and honestly, I don't want to help him as he is a fine guy, but al-an was foolish for letting the kharaa get out.'

'I will help him in the future as I can probably come back here after some adventures in other places. So for now, let's check if I finished this last quest so I can leave here.'

As I look at my new manipulation, I feel my entire body flash freeze itself again, then randomly combust while going through a constant cycle of the two, with both lasting different durations of time as my body is constantly burned and then frozen continuously as my body adapts to its new power.

After a long, grueling hour, my body starts steaming and shows a sheen of light. Ice crystals manifest on my body, then quickly burn away as fire rockets out of the side of my body.

" Well, this is cool, though I should probably get this under control, " I say as I start to control the inner process of releasing so much heat or flash-freezing the surrounding water.

'this should keep it under control.' I circulate the constant bursts of heat and cold against each other to nullify them until I get to a better place to get them under control.

'well, that was a quick encounter, though it is nice to see the inventory and world-traveling tabs ungrayed out now. That being said, I need to look at this more besides just my new library one, though I wonder what my last reward is.'

[ Prepare for memory influx ]

'prepare for what.' as I start to feel a terrible pain in my head.

(Flashback)

"Can you guys please stop running around so much? I'm tired," I say to the two kids before me as they run around the mall and into a candy shop.

"But why should we, Dad?" they both ask in confusion and exasperation as they look at all the candy in front of them.

"Because your dad asked nicely, that's why, and if you do, I might just buy you guys some candy," I say to my kids in a tired voice as they both look at each other quickly and seem to have an in-depth talk.

"Deal, Dad, but we want lots of candy," they both say, their faces indicating that no other option is acceptable.

"I can accept that, so be good, okay."

[ Memory influx is now over ]

'w-what was that.' I say with a sad voice at the memory, wondering what just happened and feeling a deep love for the kids I just saw.

'tell me what the hell that was. You need to tell me now.' I declare with anger as my just calmed manipulation starts to go haywire with my electricity as well.

'You can't just show that to mean then leave.' as my electricity starts shooting through the water, evaporating everything around it, it also starts flash-freezing everything while I shoot pillars of fire out of my body, causing the sounding glaciers to melt then immediately refreeze.

'What was that I need to know?' my anger starts to die down, and dread starts to creep in at what I just saw. I need answers on why I care.

'Why are they calling me dad? Are they my kids? Is that why I care?' I started to question everything up to this point and wonder more and more how I came here, which I had never genuinely questioned until now.

'maybe if I continue to do stuff, I can figure out more I need to know; I need to figure it out. Why do I know everything about here but not remember anything before I got here? Why am I only now realizing this? Why, why, why.'

{ A/N Well, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter and the sudden twist at the end; this is where the story truly starts, so get in for quite the long and emotional ride.
